Hello Jess. Thanks for the chat. It's like having a friend nearby. I really like the Levi jeans on you. In fact, I just purchased a pair of the grey wash Levi 501 jeans and they fit me perfectly. The rib cage jeans on me were too high-waisted. Your DIY project turned out beautifully. Love the red dress that you purchased. It is stunning on you. How do you store your sweater dresses? I fold mine and store them in a drawer. When I visited London (we are from Arizona), my husband and I got to visit the Me &EM boutique in Notting Hill. Didn't purchase anything, though. We loved our trip to England! The Tube system in London is amazing. We got to know it very well. Thanks for this video, Jess.

For hormones there's a brand called HappyMammoth😃For me after much research I found agnus castus"Vitex", Ashwagandha, Maca with a B complex worked! When you find the right balance. We need a data base we can add info to... 😘

Flared jeans are more challenging to shorten because the circumference changes. You will be making the wider part fit into the narrower part. Just fyi-This probably isn’t a tape job.

Perimenopause and menopause sucks so bad. I’ve not slept well in over a year. I’m so wired but tired most days, when I do have a rare good nights sleep, I feel so sluggish and hung over. I stopped drinking alcohol, take magnesium glycinate, and all the other things to improve sleep and none of it works.

IPL is a game changer! For this sun lover in her mid 50s…the spots ugh! I’ve done it a few times. The satisfaction when those “coffee grounds” come off your face!! Also, breast cancer patient here and forced into menopause. I can’t take any hormones so that’s super fun 🥴, magnesium at night helps quite a bit with sleeping. Both oncologist and gynecologist told me to take but as usual ask your dr! And I loved the jeans!

Hey Jess, really enjoyable video. Well done on the DIY, I know how painful that type of job is! I’m quite handy but I’m finding that I’m paying someone to do stuff more and more these days, it’s also the time it takes isn’t it, professionals can do it in quarter of the time I could and as you get older I think time is one of the most precious things you have. Definitely keep the jeans. Hope you haven’t been blown away this weekend, my poor trees are very naked now! x

It’s better to do IPL (and deeper laser treatments) when you won’t be in the sun. It’s required to keep out of the sun in fact.

I can only get them online, and we're about the same size and height, so it would be really helpful to get some firsthand deets. P.P.S. Nice work on the molding! In Lisbon, until yesterday we were also having a "heat wave" with temperatures around 22ºC! Very unusual even here!!! Loved all the outfits!

I finished 3 sessions of BBL which is similar but I think the difference is BBL goes a bit deeper so does broken veins etc too but not 100% sure. Love the results, switched from medium foundation to a very light one. Be aware your face may also swell up for a few days. I looked like a big pink balloon!

Out of interest how long did it take for your skin to peel off the pigmentation as such? I’ve kind of given myself 2 weeks work wise for it to look pretty bad do you think that’s enough? x

@ Yes, it looks like nothing is happening for about a week and a half then suddenly it seems to disappear as if by magic. Trick is not to be tempted to exfoliate or rub too hard with a towel or washcloth to speed things up. Skin also looks lovely and fresh afterwards. You’ll love it. Theres also very little texture so make up does help.

Loved the new John Lewis dress on you Jess, pop of colour in winter has inspired me, going to do the same and add a pop of pink ❤ Awww poor you with the sleep issues, it’s so hard to function without proper shut eye. Have you heard of or tried Wild Nutrition? They’re a British brand I’ve used recently and they do a specific complex for Peri/Menopause symptoms? Worth looking into if you haven’t already x

In fact I always love everything 😂 I hope your skin calms down. I have pigmentation too and always wonder what treatment to go with. I’ve had it since I was pregnant with my eldest son and he’s 20 now. Thank you for sharing your week with us. I can empathise with hormones, they’re just blergh at times aren’t they. Hi Jess, thanks for your lovely videos. Love your blazer outfit and you sitting on that chair with your 🐈⬛ cat. I had IPL and it worked. What worked best for me ist the Hydra jet peel with introducing lots of antipigmentation substances right in your skin. It‘s completely painfree and does not leave you with dark spots. You mentioned wonder web for hemming pants. What exactly is that and how might I find it?

Hi Vanessa, ooh wonderweb is the best thing for hemming your own trousers and skirts even, when you haven't got time to get to a tailor! It's essentially a bit of tape that irons on and really works to make a new hem. Eventually, after like 5 washes, it starts to lose it's mojo a little, but you can then just repeat the process with some fresh tape and it's done again:) You can buy it pretty much everywhere, my local supermarket sells it, amazon etc and it's super affordable too!

I'm not sure of your age and what stage of menopause you're in. But I can tell you what I'm going through. 48 years old in perimenopause, and in April of this year, I started BHRT. Testosterone pellets in the bum every 4 months. I'm about to have my 3rd treatment next month, and I can definitely feel the difference. I highly recommend BHRT (not HRT). It's a game changer.

Thank you SO much for the advice, I've never even heard of bhrt? I'm 45 but I had to have a total hysterectomy for other reasons (last year or the year after? It all blends into one doesn't it!) but forced straight into it:/ In actual fact it was okay to start with and I had the hrt patches which seemed to keep all the awful symptoms at bay, and then just recently the sleep issues arrived all of a sudden! I shall have a google of that today and make sure I ask my Doctor about it, thank you again, very grateful for the advice:)

Yay, i would love to grab a cuppa with you! When is it that you're over again? Ooh that's definitley helped me make a decision on those jeans then, anything that adds that extra inch to my height is always much appreciated;) The wrap cardigan is all part of one so you do feel really covered it's just like a little slither of skin you see at your collarbone, unusual but I really really love it:) And thank you for the good vibes, the joys of being a Woman are never ending aren't they haha!
