Very nice one, my mother used to give me moong dal powder with turmeric instead of soap in my childhood days. U reminded me of that now. The lip gloss with beetroot juice is my favourite. Two days back I made the balm and beetroot serum. Im fond of the smell of wildturmeric. Either I use it with coconut oil or milk to apply on my face. Tnkq for the best recipes.

Hi Ramya I have been following u for almost an year now. I am a working woman who leaves at 7 in the morning and gets back home at 8 at night. I never found enough time to try your remedies. My skin is very sensitive, acne prone skin. This quarantine has made my skin even worse due to disturbed timings. Lot of breakouts. That was exactly when your video popped in. This time I was determined to try it. I didn't have all the ingredients but I went and purchased all of them. Now it's exactly a week I started using it. I could noticeably find my skin getting better. This doesn't mean I got glass skin in a week but my pimples have started drying out. It's falling off. All those tiny bumps have started disappearing. I used to use moong dal powder in my ubtan but I switched to red lentil powder or lal masoor dal powder which I find much better and superior. We get that in the stores too in Mumbai. I would suggest that instead of moong dal powder.

Ramya, thank you so much for this incredible recipe. I have been using this bath powder for last 4-5 months. I live in Bangalore, where you skin gets very dry. Trust me, I don't use moisturizer at all. Just a week back a noticed that skin blackening in arm pits have just disappeared. I mix this powder with curd, milk, rice water n rose water based on whatever available. When I have time, I prepare fresh aloe vera juice and mix with it. I can't stop thanking you. I have been using green moong dal powder for 4 months and we call it sunni pindi in telugu. I had a bad reaction to one of the facial serums and my face got inflamed. I could not use commercial face powders. My mother made this for me and at first I was skeptical but now I use it every day as face wash. I add some filtered water to a 1/4 teaspoon and filter it with channi (as my skin is dry) so bigger coarse particles are removed. It definitely removes dirt and is also very gentle scrub but effective. Also for body, as given the best advice by my grandmother, I apply sesame seed oil ( idhyam) to my body at least an half hour before bath ( during summers ) and use the powder to gently scrub. Sesame seed oil is very good for skin rashes or irritation ( which I had) an also softens the dead skin cells like no commercial lotion can. Only been doing this for 2 months and the coarse skin around elbows and knees are so soft. Also it really reduces of body pimples and marks scarring. Honestly doing this has been the best for my skin!!! Thank you for sharing this recipe!! Curious to try more.

Tbh it's very non irritative, but if you have painful acne then I would say to use flitered by a channi version of this daal (with drinking water and a little dilute)and also no to rub it harshly. Just pour the the liquid over your neck (or you can use a spray bottle) and let the water rinse it away. Though I always apply oil before using it as my body is normal-dry type and also my body boils/acne do need extra moisturizing effect ( it works better for me that way somehow ). In the end it really depends on the kind of acne you have and your skin type/behavior towards some product. Hope it helped.

No it cant be used on acne prone skin. Because green gram would be scrubby. It will make your acnes big. In that place mix besan, neem powder, turmeric and mix it n apply on your face. It will shrink your acnes.
