We did this road trip from melbourne last year in November and it snowed so bad at cradle mountain that we couldn't do it properly!! I really loved tassie, its a place I would 100% go back too. We loved Bruny island and wineglass bay, we hired a van and it was such a beautiful trip!
@MollyThompsonx_ Жыл бұрын
omg no way!! It had actually snowed a few days before we visited, this was the first day of the week the shuttle buses were running all the way down to Dove Lake so I think we got really lucky!! But it's such a beautiful country - we'd definitely go back as there's a few places I do feel we missed! Thank you so much for watching :) xx

Come to tassie and I think the best beach is in Coningham it it towards the bottom Come in summer not in winter and go to Bruny island and a go a pub called Winston then go to the lollie shop or ice cream shop nearby Explore the lower parts of tassie not many people do and there is some amazing community’s there

Tasmania looks incredible! There’s a Launceston in Cornwall, England and that’s pronounced ‘Lawn-stun’ like the first way you were saying it. 😊 The Tasmanian town could be different though!
@MollyThompsonx_ Жыл бұрын
Ahhh that would make sense, I've not heard of the English town but reckon that probably is a similar pronunciation haha - thank you so much for watching!!x
@carokat1111 Жыл бұрын
Yes, Tasmanians pronounce it differently, Lonceston ('Lon' like 'on')

Sadly Cadbury has been closed for a few years now. Tasmania has many amazing white sand beaches. You were definitely here during a cold snap. The weather has been wild. Gorgeous and sunny today!

It’s so stunning, but I do definitely think we were here during a cold week hahaha! But beautiful nonetheless for sure!😍😍

Hi, Tasmania looks amazing we go there in December! Do you have any recommendations for car hire?? 😊
@MollyThompsonx_ Жыл бұрын
Ahh you're going to have the best time! We used East Coast rentals and booked through Klook, really really recommend them they were SO cheap for the quality of car!! Plus an easy pick up from Hobart airport too!

Heres a tip if you want to see the lights in the atmosphere. When CME "coronal mass ejection" ejectsfrom the sun and is heading towrds earth thats when you'll see this happened. Its the earth magnetic field that reacts to the CME from the sun.

You covered all the touristy things well but pity you didn't have more time to do a lap of Tasmania , the best beaches and coastline is north of binalong bay up to the top corner , then across the top then down the river to Launceston , then you have the contrasting wild west coast, but really need a 4wd to get right into the amazing west coastal areas . Have really enjoyed your videos , have missed a few that I need to go back and watch . Freycinet is pronounced freycinay, Launceston is pronounced lonceston

Yes you got the pronunciation right in the end , it is pronounced "Lawn cest on". So sad you have now left Australia 😢 I hope you had a great year exploring our country ❤
@carokat1111 Жыл бұрын
It's pronounced Lonceston! No 'Lawn' sound - that's how you tell the person isn't local.

How come you skipped going to Port Arthur historic site? The best part of Port Arthur and surrounds. The old prison and gardens, etc etc
@daniellerichard1385 Жыл бұрын
Also the site of our biggest mass shooting tragedy.
@MollyThompsonx_ Жыл бұрын
We did visit Port Arthur and we did drive to the historic site, but we were stuck in traffic for ages getting out of Hobart & ended up arriving too late to make it worth paying to enter really, it was such a shame because we did have it on our list but we'd spent a lot of time driving down from Hobart after Mona :( We'll just have to go back and do this one day!
