From the UK . I spent 31yrs in Tassie down under. Grew up in Hobart, lived and worked in Oatlands, Launceston, Devonport as an Art Teacher. Moved to UK in 1996. Miss the Apple Isle where Mum and Dad have past away. The best HD video I have seen covering the Island and travelling to many of the places I had visited and also hadn’t got round to see while bringing up the family. I helped famous Sculptor Stephen Walker build the Huon Water Fountain in the Hobart Botanical Gardens 1972. I recon I did 70% of the carving if you ever got to see it. Thanks for the Fantastic memories and drone views. You have accomplished a master piece and wonderful memories for me.

For those who plan to go to Tassie, I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. We travelled from Hong Kong and did The Grand Circle road trip and stayed for 11 nights. The scenery is to die for, the food and wines are good and hotels were quite decent. One reviewer mentioned there was no wildlife which is not true because we went to Nature World (a wildlife zoo/park) when we stayed in Bicheno (east coast). The only thing we regret is we never went to Bruny Island to do the cruise and watch wild life and whales. The trip was so enjoyable that we had planned to return last year but due to the pandemic, we had to cancel it last minute. Will definitely visit again.......

I really enjoyed the video. I grew up in Tassie between 1956 and 1983 when I moved to Melbourne for work. (Now I'm bloody stuck here, grrr. ) Many things have changed due to development and supporting the tourist industry, but there is still plenty of wilderness down the side roads. My soul belongs to Tassie.

Thank you very much for sharing your Tassie trip, the presentation and commentary is excellent, was a joy to watch and listen to. We have been to Tassie on numerous occasions but always for work and barely found time to enjoy this beautiful island during our short breaks. We will be departing one way at the end of April for a full tour with our caravan in tow and when satisfied we have seen all we wanted will return back to Melbourne and plan for a round Oz trip in the very near future. Coincedently we will be staying at the same Caravan park in Devonport as the Ferry is just a few minutes from there we also stayed in cabins there for work on a few occasions. Anyway an outstanding video and if I can be a quarter as good on our chanel once up and running I will be more than content. Cheers,

Interesting to watch. My wife and I also traveled for 20 days around Tasmania in July 2018. Fortunately only 1 day of rain and had the entire roads to ourselves during most of trip in our rental car. Staying in bnb accommodation is a far better option as you get the opportunity to stay in some historical buildings which add to the atmosphere of the stay. A far better option than a soul less campervan in a camping ground. We rated Tasmania extremely high and found it a unique gem of a place.

Thanks for the well produced video, my sister lives in Molesworth about 25 mins from Hobart. She emigrated to Australia over 15 years ago from the UK, visited her when she lived in Brisbane, but have never been able to in Tasmania, and know that unless there is a financial miracle I won’t, so watching this was an eye opener into her world and where she goes for trips with my niece. I was also watching out for them the whole time in your footage😂. Well you never know!

Going back again this year Covid19 free hopefully, in July / August to see Cradle Mountain, and Mount Mawson (Mt'Field National Park), in wintery white!! Amazing video, beautiful footage combined with great information. Have you managed to make it back since? I live in Hobart and it's only in recent years of my 37 that I've finally started exploring my state. Next trip I'd recommend Going down south through Huonville, Geeveston(stopping at Tahune Airwalk and Hartz Mountain), Dover and down to Hastings cave and South Port as the southern most town of Australia. Also going through the great lakes and central plateau down past Liffey Falls, Deloraine, Sheffield for the murals. And then in the North East past where you stopped going north at Bicheno, you've got St Helens, Bay of Fires, Binalong Bay, Pyengana cheese, pub in the paddock and St Columba falls, and then historical stuff at Scottsdale, Derby and Mt Paris dam.
