Seven days in the Swiss Alps sounds like an absolute dream! The mix of snowy peaks, stunning lakes, and those epic ascents is just incredible. Thanks for capturing it all, especially with the challenges from the snow, the aerial footage really brings it to life! 🏔❄

Thank you for sharing. With my dog, I was at the Rotstockhütte on Monday, September 16. I couldn't pass the Sefinafurgga. And I turned back. I lived 8 days of extraordinary hiking.

Great video! Nice work, but for me is very important to know what was the locations of the video. I think not only for me) Oeschenisee and Trout. But what starting and ending point?
@thomashughes101Ай бұрын
Thanks, fair point I'm thinking of adding talking in future videos to expand on the hikes themselves. In terms of locations you asked about, I started in Lauterbrunnen heading up towards Sefinenfurgge pass. The end point of the trip was Gemmi Pass, treated myself to the cable car back down 👌🏻

Thomas... I know the swiss mountains pretty well, so I recognized all of these places. And what about the viewers who are not familiar with these areas? Who cares about the distance, elevation if we dont know the route? You should show the location, starting, ending point and the highlights: Öschinensee, Gasterntal, Gemmi pass and so on....
@thomashughes10126 күн бұрын
I appreciate the feedback, I'll bear this in mind for future videos

@@thomashughes101 The videos are really good in terms of quality. Just give the viewers all the information, so that they can also find and visit these wonderful places. You can write it easily in the video description :-)

Wow, this looks amazing. your video captured the beauty of the Swiss Alps perfectly. Is this trail part of the Via Alpina?
@thomashughes101Ай бұрын
Thank you. The beginning of the hike was on the Via Alpina but that was unintentional, the second half went a different way completely. Would like to do the full Via Alpina in the future though

Awesome video. It's not often to see someone take on the Alps during snow season. Do you mind sharing where exactly you hiked?
@thomashughes10119 күн бұрын
Yeah no problem The first 2 days of the hike started in Lauterbrunnen walking up to Rotstockhutte and then to Sefinenfurgge Pass before coming down to Griesalp. From here we attempted to go to Blüemlisalphütte but unfortunately the path was closed due to deep snow and avalanche risk. We then did a loop hike around Oeschinensee which is the large lake and one of the highlights of the trip. For the final 3 days we went from Kandersteg to Hotel Schwarenbach via Gallihorn, the day after went to Lämmerenhütte via Roter Totz , and to finish we went down to Gemmi Pass which had a lovely restaraunt. Glad you liked the video!

Of course you can. The first 2 days of the hike started in Lauterbrunnen walking up to Rotstockhutte and then to Sefinenfurgge Pass before coming down to Griesalp. @@thomashughes101 thank you very much it sure does! We are from the united states and the state of Wisconsin. Our last trip was June of 2023 and we spent an entire week hiking around the Grindelwald valley and up Pfingstegg to Baregg and Schreckhornhutte and few smaller trails. Our next trip is to stay in the Lautenbrunnen walleye and hike around them. We love all of our hikes. We considered a September trip but looks like snow could be an issue.

is allowed to camp anywhere in swiss? Im going to murren
@thomashughes10126 күн бұрын
They have quite strict rules on camping, although it is not something I know much about in Switzerland I would recommend reading into it first. There are a lot of mountain huts that can be used for overnight stays that were very pleasant to stay in though, so if you fancy more comfort, it might be a good option
