You gotta commit to an idea man, going first from Father to Twisted Tower, and then further bouncing around between Bioshock and crazy procedural generation and Fairy Tales and Steampunk and game show and on and on, this game just has.. So little identity.

It is his first attempt at doing something in the genre and his first 3D game. Some of the shown scenes look dope though and he can likely market his way out of a sub par product

FYI if it’s too high poly you can use some remeshing features in blender to reduce the poly count. Dissolve edges. Decimation modifier. The new blender 4.0 quad remesh tool. Things like that to help optimize.

damn, i like this kinds of video, it just shows how it really is to be a dev, just sliding through some parts and wanting to throw the PC out the window in others, all while talking to the chat or yourself, which really is what i do a lot, thanks for the videos you make!

This is super sick and it’s nice to see the project structure as well, I might recommend (for optimization and improving performance) to put your prop or environment textures that use the same shader into an atlas, it’ll also help with color grading since you can edit them together, like if u have several 512 textures you can put them Into A 2048 texture and adjust the uvs of the mesh to match in blender

Epic content once again. Good on you for remaining true to your convictions and beliefs. It sure ain't easy nowadays. I really need to do a proper game developer course, but I'm an Unreal Engine 5 user, otherwise I may have signed up. Love your content and delivery style. Thanks for keeping it real. I'm a big horror fan and sometimes struggle with what I want to create or watch. In the end, evil is a real force and it's up to us to fight the good fight. It's a fine line we walk. So refreshing seeing a fellow believer on KZbin. We need more. Cory Kenshin is another. You are right by the way. Everything has a purpose. Our Creator makes no mistakes. Hope this game is a success. You deserve it after many years of persevering and hard work. God Bless.

You paid $16 usd for a fire extinguisher? its a cylinder... The hardest part is the nozzle which is also pretty simple relatively speaking. Is that not like one whole sales worth of the game when released? Jesus

Time is money. If you don't know modeling, even the simplest model for you could take a beginner hours to complete. He chose that his time was worth more than the money. Pretty simple concept many people don't understand. TIME IS MONEY. And how many games have you finished?

He really shouldn't have used unity for this type of low poly game without some research. I think he said he thought it would be easy when he first started then he got slammed with optimization problems. Learning a new engine though is never a good way to go if you're doing something full time. It really is time consuming (c# to c+( and blueprints

I am honestly baffled at how you released multiple games without ever stumbling across the topic of baked and realtime lighting. By not covering the topic in your courses you also skip over any games directed at low end devices, and lose out on a lot of optimization.

I believe in god, but i don't believe in religion. God Created the universe to work as it does, and anyone who tries to force order onto the world is lying. Hence why I don't believe in religion, it is an opposite to the chaos of gods universe, and brings unwarranted judgements and control onto humanity which those who are in control benefit from, one of the great flaws of the universe. These indie videos are amazing especially in helping understand the life of a developer, glad to see someone in that space not afraid to express their beliefs. you're absolutely right, just because life is painful does not meant that he didn't mean it to be. God bless you sir.

@@Mosopia Because Unity doesn't have an asset store and Unity devs are all so above using premade assets? Seriously, even AAA companies with massive budgets and in-house game engines still purchase premade assets sometimes and expecting every Indy dev to be able to create their own game, models, textures, and sounds is a really high bar, especially for the solo devs.
