Hi Shug and Alan. I’m literally a brand new subscriber as of a few minutes ago. I’m an African American Senior who loves to travel when money and time permits. I have never been on a cruise ship, except local dinner cruises on Lake Michigan in Chicago. I love watching all the different cruising KZbinrs. Y’all seem so happy and I’m looking forward to watching all of the video and get your feelings on the ICON. Btw, I was wondering, What is “muster”? Did I hear that correctly? A muster drill or muster station! Is the safety drill in case of emergency so that you know where to report with or without your Life vest for evacuation should it be necessary.

Hi Pam thank you for watching and thank you so much for subscribing we really appreciate it. Mickies Adventures is correct. When you first board a cruise ship you have to do what’s called a muster drill. There’s a specific location on the ship that you go and you listen to a presentation about safety and how to put on a lifejacket. If there’s ever an emergency you would go to that spot and board your lifeboat there. This drill is required by every passenger before the ship can leave port. We mat have passed each other on this incredible ship. Filet mignon and lobster tail for lunch on the first day was a tease for what was coming that week. And the Wizzard of OZ was incredible . We did the first show, which had technical problems, but they played it by ear , amazing. We saw the whole show 2 days later. I can go on and on about the other shows, food, drinks etc 😊

I love Dr. Pepper, it’s my favorite. I would not get an infinite balcony: if it is open A/C does not work! My husband prefers a cool room at all times, I would go out to balcony for a bit, but I can stand the heat to long so, I would go back in to a chilled cabin. 18:32

Dr Pepper is the drink of champions lol. It seems like your husband and I have something in common. I need the room as cold as possible. I even bring a portable battery operated fan lol

My husband likes an ice box. Though I can’t not stand the heat either I can’t stand to be cold either. I travel with a blanket and sometimes require one from the room attendant to keep me comfortable. Dr. Pepper is definitely the drink of champions. I get ridiculed for loving it, but will never give it up.

We’re on the fence about it. We were against it when we originally booked it but now we think it’s kind of cool. Shug really likes it because it makes the room seem larger. We’ll have to do an infinite balcony a couple more times to decide which one we like better lol

It does make the room appear larger, but sometimes I love to be on the balcony under the sun while my husband is inside resting so the balcony works better for us. If we could leave the balcony down and not worry about the room cooling I would definitely choose the infinite balcony

That’s a great question. We were on the inaugural cruise, but I would be willing to bet you still need to reserve the shows in advance. They did and probably still do have a standby line as well if you don’t make a reservation.
