I have a question... I've been to the BVI several times and chartered a catamaran. It's been 10years. We want to bring a few steaks for the nights we stay on our boat. Any tips on going through customs smoothly? What are the requirements. They will be frozen and USDA approved. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

Good question! I did not try to bring anything, so I don't have any personal experience doing this in the BVI. From what I have read online and done other places I think packing it in your checked bag is a good idea if possible. If you pack stuff in a visible cooler it's more likely you will get asked about it. It is obviously up to you whether you want to declare it or not but people online have said even with paying the fee it still came out to be cheaper then buying from the local grocery store.
