11/10 I would recommend this base. My first real go at 7dtd and blood moons were kicking my (and my servermates) butt. Day 43 when I looked up your base and figured I'd give it a shot. I only had enough time to get most of it to cobble and wasn't running dart traps (upgrades inc XD). Lets just say the hardest part of morning 50 was how to get the loot bags back to base lol. Anyone looking for a horde base or is struggling, give the sus base a shot. You won't be disappointed!!

Thanks Logan! A tiny ball pit of death.
@stevedixon9213 жыл бұрын
This looks like a quarter of "the processor" (from A19). I built the full processor and concluded it could be half the size and still work a charm. I like the 90 degree offset, even though cop puke is not all that damaging (at least in a19 it wasn't). Other than spec'ing into tech for the power bank and posts early game it also has a low resource cost to build and maintain, though you could spec melee for day 7 I suppose. As long as you do not set off any demos yourself it will hold up well. I would consider leaving the floor behind the blade traps open though, so the loot bags have somewhere to drop to limit the ball pit effect with larger hordes. Also consider switch plates on the floor to trigger the darts to conserve ammo. A power bank and 2 posts can make almost any base nearly zed proof.

Having the player area 90 degrees to the ramp is a good design to stop cops spitting at you. The only issue I see is if you trigger a demo in the small killzone your going to have to bail out the door onto the ground.
@GrandSpartan3 жыл бұрын
This was tested against the day 70 horde 6 times with similar results. The horde shown on this video was actually the sixth. The demos and cops may as well be a nurse or skater. Out of the six test I never had one cop or demo explode. All you have to do is keep the blade traps repaired, the dart traps full, and the blade/fence stun lock will do the rest.

@kathrynck3 жыл бұрын
These are some very nice designs. In particular the second one. I think they are not particularly explosion-resistant, because they are so compact. But their compactness makes them fairly resource-cheap. So... "tradeoffs". The loot bags are getting destroyed in that tight space though. With that much XP, you should have about twice that many loot bags. But it's a good setup. I actually like the stairs best of all. Those side-bits... very nice touch. Makes the path much more resilient.
@GrandSpartan3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Kathrynck. There will be no explosions in the second base as shown in the video. I have now taken on 11 day 70 hordes with no cop or demo explosions. All you have to do is keep everything repaired and let the traps do the work. This base was actually almost 100% concrete with little to no steel involved. The loot sacks cannot and do not get destroyed. I have no lucky looter skills in this test world nor do I have the lucky looter series which makes zombies drop more loot. Loot drops are completely random and only affected by a couple things. One horde you may get a good many the next horde you may not.
@kathrynck3 жыл бұрын
@@GrandSpartan Yeah, loot bag quantity does seem surprisingly variable. As for explosions, yes, the traps are plenty to kill demo's. I just like to plan for things not going according to plan hehe. I have fundamentally atrocious luck (and not just in 7d2d), I just overcompensate with preparedness, so that when everything goes exactly not according to plan, I have a stack of additional plans ;) I like it though, the base I mean. It's a cool build.

If you bring your quad pillars in a square, you can cluster all of the zombies within the range of a single pipe bomb dropped down the center of the tower. Drop 9 unlit pipe bombs follwed by a lit one and you will kill everything, including demo zombies. Rinse and repeat all night and even day 7000 hordes are a piece of cake. I've been using this design for years and haven't had a failure, or death, yet.

You gain 50% exp from electric traps, not 50% bonus when you max adv engineering. You get *half* the normal exp from traps because traps normally do not give player exp.
@GrandSpartan3 жыл бұрын
I probably wouldn't have even dinged a level based upon my own kills during this horde, so I count the trap kill experience as a bonus. The base does so much damage that I don't get many killing blows in.
@thelizardking89993 жыл бұрын

I wonder how this will hold up now with the changes to pole blocks?
@GrandSpartan3 жыл бұрын
Lowering the hp of pole blocks will make no difference. As a matter of fact it will make these bases even more viable than before. On this first base instead of using poles for support just use 1/4 blocks for the full 10k hp. It will however change the bases that many people use with a one to three wide hallway and poles at the end. The Stun Lock base could be made of cobblestone and stand up to an end game horde as it takes no damage. I think I did more block damage with the hammer than any zombie during that horde.
