Another tip is you can find short iron pipes from destroying, cars completly, destroying toilets, and in sinks if you need to make a forge.

Hey 2hand, i'd love to see a remade version of this guide, that follows up on what to do in the continuing days for instance; Making a workbench and forge, going from basic tools to iron and steel, what types of traps work good as the hordes get stronger, just a general guide benchmarking what you should prioritise as you go towards the next horde nights, 7-14-21 ect... Would be super handy, great vid.

Pro tip: miner 69er is only applied to metal tools and stone shovel, do not put your first 2 points into something you won't get use out of until you get a furnace. Instead put those 2 points into sexual tyrannosaurus as you'll need the energy to fight zombies and gather resources to an efficient degree. Also keep in mind pummel pete and run forest run as they're also great openers.

Ok for Miner skill. But this is your gameplay. Each player will find his way with his experience. I had watched tutorials when i started playing the game alone, but trying different gameplays is the best way to build your perks. For example, i am more on the survivor skill to survive with poor loot. I'm playing with different builds on almost each game: it depends on the situation.

Miner 69er is ONLY useful when you have a furnace, that's all I said. The video maker said take this as an opener to help you get stone when a stone axe is governed by construction tools and not miner 69er.

Very nice tutorial. I would like to add that if you find empty can or eat some canned food, you can use it to get some water in it. It works similar to water bottle, but you don't need cooking pot. Unfortunatelly boiled water cannot stack in your inventory. It is good tactics when you don't have cooking pot yet, or running low on water on some long journey and don't have any cooking pot with yourself (even that drinkable water is quite common in points of interest).

I DON'T recommend turning off zombie running. That makes night time trivial, and makes the game FAAAAAAR too easy. Don't go out at night. It's just that simple.

Don't forget, it's a guide for beginners, and the more you are good, the more you can increase the difficulty. Vorax TuJoues 4 month too late, but anyways. Newbies should play on the Standart difficulty. You learn from your mistakes. Dying in your first Nights is nothing too tragic. Look at Don't Starve, Game is hard af for beginners and you dont even get a Tutorial like in 7dtd. Just play the Game and you will find out What you should do and what not. Even I Managed it to barely survive up to day 7, then the horde killed me ofc.

small edit. miner 69'er isn't a great start choice. the stone axe is considered a construction tool, not a mining tool. so miner 69'er doesn't effect the stone axe mining times.

I've been trying to find an answer for this damn question for two days now. No one seems to even attempt to answer it. I've seen people with torches on the walls. And even videos of them sorta throwing them on walls and floor and the stay there. I've tried every button combo I can think of and nothing helps. I have a nice little shelter built but it dark af. Would be nice to have a torch on the wall. Or a campfire that gives some light because mine sure don't.

About the stone axe , when getting stones and/or iron I use a shovel mainly because it will raise my mining skills, but also because you'll be mining boulders a lot until you get a pickaxe!

blu pyro just makes it too easy. Having zombies smell you would make it much more "realistic". I had to make several changes to the zombies. Now they can only be killed by head shots. Which makes a lot of sense to me. If smell functioned, we could 'hide'ourselves like in the walking dead. Body shots killing a zombie is just silly. My zombies also have a pretty well 100% chance to infect you and anything with sharp teeth, like dogs, makes you bleed 100% of the time. Way tougher now.

If you go to the console ( ` key) and then type "dm" and back out of the console and press f5 you can go into 3rd person. I bet if you looked up "how to get plant fiber" instead of looking up "beginner's guides" you would've find out that information a lot faster. But I agree, the game needs a tutorial. If you judge a game by it's graphics then I definitely wouldn't recommend going into 3rd person ;)

I just got it cause I was bored and it was free or really cheap in the PS store and this video just saved me from rage quitting.
