Hey Glock, for the definitive answer to your blood moon range question, hover over "Blood Moon Range" in the options menu for an explanation. In Alpha 19 the texts reads "Sets a random range that blood moons will happen. 0 is off. 3 would mean a blood moon can happen up to 3 days later than normal." You can check for yourself to make sure that hasn't changed with Alpha 20, but if it's the same then you have your settings set for a blood moon every 3 - 5 days.

That mechanic for the main stash and the switch to open the back door is there way of preventing smash and grab main loot raiding. It was cool how it was kind of them saying hey Glock, no more smash and grab for you. haha.

@@pokerusfreak8194 Smash and grab was him polling up to a rooftop or digging to the exit hatch to get the main loot without entering the POI. What they did made it harder to do that. You have to enter that POI to get the loot, you can't just get into the loot room, kill one or two zombies and make off with most of the loot.

Those pipe animations are fuckin crisp. They just FEEL like you're having to slam open a rusty piece of pipe to load another round. I'm also really digging the buttons and keys. It lets them do smaller, but more complicated, POIs, which I'm all about.

Hey Glock, don't know if anyone has mentioned this but for random hordes the blood moon variance only applies AFTER the blood moon day count. So if you want true random hordes then you need to set blood moon frequency to 1 and then have the variance to how ever many days you want so having blood moon day as 1 and variance as 4 would guarantee a horde within 5 days of the start or of the last horde. At least that is how it worked in A19.

After 7 trader quests, you will be able to chose a bike as your reward. I believe you can also pick a messenger quest that leads you to another trader. The devs have already stated that none of the in world crafting stations, save the campfires, will work. That’s going to put a dent in this series, if you plan to craft items. You’ll have to pick a spot to place down working stations of your own. You can still use the aloe, by slapping it on the abrasion debuff. That was from A19, but I guess you forgot.

Super cool that they now have switches like that to open doors. In the first house you raided in this episode you didn't have to break out through the door and the spikes, there was a key rack on the wall that would open a door to let you out of the POI. I really like this mechanic I wonder if later you could use buttons or switches like that in your own base designs...

Hi glock, i play with random horde nights all the time and you are almost correct, its does work backwards as well. Every 3 days with a range of 2 will give you a horde every 1-5 days. If want horde every 3-5 days you need to set it to horde every 4 days with a range of 1.

I'd say if you want a horde every 3-5 days, what you want is horde every 4 days with a 1 day range (so 4-1 = 3 and 4+1 = 5). Every 3 days with a 2 days range gives you a horde between 1 to 5 days. Anyway, pleasure to see Alpha 20 ! :)

Hey Glock, since you didn't read the patch notes I figured I would let you know. There is now a mechanic in the game where you get better loot in different biomes, the progression is forest->desert->snow->wasteland In addition to this there are tiered loot chests, harder POIs will have better loot chests. So you might want to consider heading to the desert now that you're pretty well equipped.

At about the 5:40 mark you used the sledge to knock down the door. No need, look to the left of the door. There’s a set of keys on the wall hooks. You can interact with them and pick up the keys, then the door will open up. Same idea as you discovered in the police station later on.

the headlight mod does work well for the mini bike and motorcycle. no vehicles mods work in the bicycle right now anyways. the drone is cool i think. sometimes there are keys hanging next to a locked door inside so you wont have to break it open. good vid

To get what you want you need to set it as hordes every 4 days +/- 1 day. What you have is horde every 3 days +/- 2. You could have had a horde on day 1. If you had, you could have tired my picnic table base. The way it works is you stand on the picnic table and hit the 3 zombies that show up.

I'm about 90% sure the range only applies as a 'delay' to when the horde night could first occur. So I think you were right in that 3 with a range of 2 means it could be Day 3, Day 4, or Day 5. If you think about it, since the player could enter any number for the range...it'd cause a whole series of issues if it could come earlier than the set horde nights. Imagine having horde night every 5 days but you set the range to like 10. It would cause so many problems, and it's illogical for the fun pimps to try to handle that sort of non-sensical situation. So now I'm 100% sure it's only a delay, lol.

I have tested and confirmed that hatches with center bars above no longer works for horde night. I can also confirm it is also absolutely terrifying now when you don't have a helmet light as the zombies crawl over the hatches down your tunnel. I also certainly agree with you that it seems a bit ramped up this alpha. roaming cops, ferals, bears, and spider zombies on day 1 was my personal experience. Normally don't encounter those kind of enemies just roaming about for a good while in previous alphas.

@@anderhagea553 good ol' regular forest. I think I read in the patch notes forest was getting a gs boost to offset it's abundance of resources and easier climate, but yea. Edit: I should also add that I appeared to have spawned in a fairly good sized town. I haven't explored the town yet, but if the trader quests are anything to go by - since traders now only give quests in their own town, it's just over 1km across. So this may explain part of it as we're also to get more enemy/zombie spawns in more populated areas. Perhaps not just in numbers, but also gs.

in this alpha the buried supplies are very big early game the food in pois has been reduced massively so getting it from the supplies helps alot

Glock, to give yourself a 50/50 chance of a horde you would set your horde frequency to every night and horde range to two days. For a 33% chance of nightly you would do everyday frequency and horde range to 3 days. This way it assures that you have the chance of a horde every night, but likely is not. I tried this got lucky had no horde the first night, but had back to back to back to back hordes the next few days!
