Appeasing crocodiles is futile. I know for old timers like me, alpha 15/16, I really enjoy watching you when YOU are having a blast. When you got 25 zombies around you and you are in a corner with 6 hit points left trying to chop a wall down to get out and they end up collapsing the floor and you bounce off their heads right as you get through the wall, Heart rate is 200, just to find out you broke into a bathroom and are phucked. So I would say play to enjoy yourself. That's the Glock we love. ❤

I think the important elements to any of these series are: -Need a goal -Need restrictions This series fulfills those two elements perfectly. As long as you have those two elements, there's always something to look forward to. Admittedly, seeing you fighting off an infection for the majority of the series gave it a lot of tension and turned it into an emotional roller coaster. While also do love the series where you just try to survive as long as possible in a crazy environment, like wasteland survival, having a difficult goal to shoot for really does help.

I think it's pretty repetitive to play is the issue. You can only make clearing a single POI and defending long enough to build a gyro so interesting, when the late game loop consists of "waiting until horde night for something to happen" I love the series myself, but I can see how it would get boring to play.

Honestly? Don't be too hard on yourself. This round of Trapped Inside has been very exciting, to say the least. I think being able to go out ONLY on Horde Night has made the series much more exciting because everytime you jump? My heart rate picks up a little more. You came so close to death and then, through sheer luck in picking up that honey book, came back from the brink. It's amazing! And I'm so glad you're finally doing it this time.

I think this series was a good balance. Trapped inside, with the horde night raiding makes sense to me. It's not perfect, but at least it's possible. I'm looking forward to seeing Glock9 flying away in his street lamp, sorry gyrocopter.

I think the Trapped Inside series would be alot better if it wasn't constrained with the goal of building a gyrocopter as an end goal as that just creates an unnecessary sense of urgency which is even borderline impossible without tweaking the rules. I think it would be better if it was just survive being trapped inside the POI for a limited amount of days like 20-30 days and have a horde every 2-3 days. One of the best things about the previous Trapped Inside series is fighting hordes with limited amount of resources so you had to get creative with building the base.

I kinda agree. The gyrocopter finish was a fun idea at first because it gives an in-universe explanation for how you save yourself from being "trapped inside". But in terms of gameplay, it definitely does narrow the focus of the series to the point that it inevitably leads to grinding for one or two very particular things and long periods of disappointment for not getting those particular things. I feel like the next Trapped Inside series would benefit from a bigger focus on the base-building aspect, since living in a 5 skull POI gives you a TON of space for customizing your setup, while being limited in resources forces you to get creative with it. Maybe an intellect build to allow for turrets to be used and turn the whole building into a tower-defense game. Or an agility build so you can create parkour routes for yourself with a much longer path that zombies would have to follow

Trapped in Higashi was great man, I just don't care about the whole trying to get a gyrocopter. Just try to get a bicycle. They don't need gas, and that's one of the things you can't ever get. And yea, I rather have you not leave, ever. But I don't mind that you go out during a Hord Night, as long as it's not every night. Trapped Inside and Nightcrawler should stay as separate gameplays. And I love every zombie dropping a bag, even though it's same thing over and over again. And you don't need to do this in 4K.

I really like the trapped inside series. The part with the infection was good, and I also enjoyed the horde nights. One idea to make it more "trapped inside" could be to change the chance for steel (and other not otherwise obtainable items) in blue and red bags. For example: 25% chance for 1-2 steel in blue and 75% for 3-4 in red. Horde is only every two days, but you can't leave the building. Mining is allowed outside the perimeter but only below rock level (to get resources) and not breaching the surface level. And the POI should have at least 1 tree to start with. The way would be than to build horde base to max loot bags for steel.

I have to admit, TFP really dropped the ball with the steel, especially with the upgrade in zombie block damage. My friend and I usually find a full set of steel equipment long before we'd ever find the books to be able to craft a crucible (and I think I've seen traders sell them as well).

I think an idea for trapped inside is if the zombies break in, effectively making a doorway, you can leave, but only by the way they broke in to gather but must be back by nightfall, you must then patch up and cannot use that way out again

Glock, when going up street lamps, if you reshape the blocks into ladders you can climb up instead and don't have to jump as many times so you save stamina. The problem with performance in 7dtd is the fact that world consists of voxels not polygons They are more resource hungy and more complicated since they have properties and etc

I agree, but also think its because 7dtd was one of the early voxels based games and they have only improved their voxel engine a little. For reference, Enshrouded is also fully voxel and fully destroyable, but runs somewhat smoother until you get ridiculous with the size and detail of your builds. (which is like having a massive horde in 7dtd)

I love the content and the fact you went outside during Horde, espccially since everything was targeted to either the infection or the gyro. I think the main issue with trapped inside is that no building in the world has everything that you need to build the Gyro in a short amount of time. You would need an expert to retool the POI for that like the Dishan tower mod and aircraft carrier trapped inside. I think if you want to do a trapped inside without the POI being modded then you would need to create an opening backpack with like 1 honey, and 20 pieces of steel or something else. Maybe for the parts you can't get inside, there is a challenge created on what you can do in the POI just harder and if you complete it, you get the corresponding part(s) so instead of gifting yorself the vehicle mags you had to earn them. Or you make something that is doable that is not the gyro.

One more to go. Offloading the capture to another machine may help if your play machine is being stressed by your current settings. You might consider using processor affinity to restrict 7dtd and obs to specific cores (eg: 8 core cpu, use 4 four cores for 7dtd and the other 4 for obs). It can be confusing to figure out how to use affinity the first time. Setting your recording drive to a drive other than your 7dtd drive is recommended as well.

I'd love to see you take on some of the custom maps available on mods sites (like Hidden Lights from 2FootedHermit + custom POIs from many great creators, Treasure Isle from FluffyPanda...), or even some custom POIs for walkthrough and/or reviewing ! Some day maybe try a Trapped Inside serie in the Redlootburg or Club Hotel, as those are veeeeeeeeeery long POIs to fully explore ? I'm currently aiming to complete every POIs from 10k Hidden Lights, including the strange secrets here and there in the wild :)

Here s an idea for more "trapped inside". How about when you unlock the gyro, you can start a new series in which you can fly from building to building and survive with what is inside. Maybe something like "the floor is lava" where you cannot ever touch the ground outside of a POI, or tunnel from place to place. Not even during horde nights. You can only use the gyro, or bridge to travel.

New York Undead One custom map adds some new POI's and it would make a great City Based series. It's also hard as hell. Random packs of 6 dogs in unexpected places, dire wolf horde spawns in the woods. Lots of surprises.

This series is thoroughly enjoyable even with the graphic stutters. You'll figure it out. I can see why people might argue that it isn't trapped inside anymore, but to me, it's just semantics. You have to play with the rules to see what works and what doesn't.... the limited, large-scale POIs that allow it to work I can see being exhausted at this point and adapting the series to allow it to expand is nice. It also just leads to new ideas. Possible adjustments CAN still be made, but new series ideas might be better pursued. Trapped inside, but it's not just a POI, there's only 1 town on the entire map and you need a gyro to escape. (Use custom map generation). Trapped inside, same rules as this one, but you can't place frames outside of your trapped in POI on horde night, forcing more POI exploration/leveling to make steel. Many more come to mind, but these are just top of mind. Either way, keep up the good work!

A lot of comments saying this "if you don't like it, don't watch" shit. The comments I've read have mostly been more like my last one. The series and Glock himself are perfectly entertaining to watch, it just really doesn't fit the name. Doesn't mean people don't like it. Trapped inside has never really been a favourite series of mine, but I've watched them all regardless. Father Glock was hilarious, and Ramblin Man was definitely less monotonous to me, but I think most people still like this series.

Are you playing 7 Days to Die at 4k and recording at 4k60 on the same PC? 7 Days to Die is supremely unoptimized and doing both of those at the same time is insanely intensive for even the best computers out there. Even with a 7800x3D and 4090 some cities drop well below 100fps at 4k even without a horde for me and I am not recording.

I have an idea for a series: only taking jobs from traders, moving through biomes based on job tiers, and facing a horde every 4 days. This is how I play, and it’s really challenging. You can complete tier 1 jobs in 3 days, fight a horde in the Pine Forest, and then move to the Burnt Forest. There, you build a new base and complete tier 2 jobs. After that, you progress through the Desert, Snow biome, and finally the Wasteland for tier 5 jobs. I’ve never made it past the Desert, even on Warrior difficulty!

Great series, I've never had any issue with the content of this series, it's been a wild ride. Also 1440p is the max resolution I can watch in, so tell those 4k peeps to shove off. :)
