One of These Nights is actually a tribute to victims of the Sewol Ferry tragedy, a tragic incident in Korea where 304 people were killed, 250 being high school students. There are a lot of parts of the MV that directly reference this, but the most chilling part for me is the fact that Yeri is lying in the canoe in the rain because she was the same age as the students who were on the ferry. Also, the deep voice was Irene! She and Yeri usually (not always) take over the lower harmonies in the chorus.

Irene was using her low register which is the deeper voice you hear. -"Russian Roulette" is probably one of my favorites. It's chiptune, 1950's vibe makes me SO HAPPY. Also the Itchy Scratchy from "The Simpsons" references throughout bro I died. Also Yeri with red hair. I AM JUST SAYIIIIIIIIIIING. -"Rookie" proooooooooobably one of the most divisive songs in their discography. I haaaaaated it at first, but like dude by listen 3 I discovered just how genius it is, all the layering, the visuals, everything. This I THINK is also the first MV where you kind of see their underlying storyline of Irene controlling everyone come into play. -"Red Flavor" My 4rd favorite title track behind "Feel My Rhythm", "Psycho", and "Bad Boy." The whole MV and summer feel are all the explanation it needs. ALSO I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AS A SIDE VIDEO OR SOMETHING TO DO IN YOUR OWN TIME, there is a full ORCHESTRAL VERSION of this. ITS SO GOOD. honestly anyone is missing out big time if they haven't listened to rv b-sides like that's god tier music even better than their title tracks. so many of album tracks are literally the best songs in kpop, they're known as best discography for a reason. i would recommend listening to their albums in full if you guys do plan to do a second series or if not just listen to them on your own especially their album "the perfect red velvet" it has some of their best rnb work.

I know for sure i’ll never love any other group as much as i love red velvet. There’s something so unique and mesmerizing about them.This is obviously subjective but vocally and musically they are the best girl group out there. The fact that they’re always bringing something new that hasn’t been done before by them or anyone makes me such a proud reveluv. SM really is the best company in terms of producing high quality music, red velvet have such a diverse discography which will always keep you interested. Each member of red velvet could be the lead vocalist in any other group but there are no idols who could replace Wendy as the main vocalist and i do think it’s a fact. Even their most not gp friendly title tracks are hits, and they have some national hits and worldwide popular songs. Billboard has crowned Red Velvet as the best idol group alive and they were so right.

The Velvet side is what I have always loved way more, but they don't give us that as much. I loved your guys reaction to One of These Nights. When it came out on Spotify I was playing it 3-5 times a day. This song, Be Natural and Automatic are hands down my favorite with Rookie and Psycho not far behind. I just feel the Velvet side lets you see the real talent in this group.

OH MY GOODNESS YES YES YES!! I clicked so fast when I saw the notification, I am so glad that you guys are reacting to more Red Velvet (Yeah you guys totally skipped over Automatic but that's okay you'll see it soon) but holy cow Red Velvet is just something else these Girls are just WOW! One of These Nights is one of the most beautiful Music Videos it's just so Gorgoeus and the Vocals are just something else it actually was about the Sewol (South Korea Ferry) ship wreck which killed almost 300 people, Russian Roulette is one of the most Iconic Red Velvet MV's heck just in general it's so catchy and very shocking at first like okay they're trying to kill each other (Thank God they are done with that and now they just want to kill men! 🤣😂) Rookie and Red Flavour are definitely like a person going to a Red Velvet Concert but they were on drugs or something they are so weird but AMAZING, Rookie isn't my favorite personally but I still love it it's so catchy and funny, and Red Flavour is such a great Music Video (Esosa's face when she realized the song was priceless) this was the song that gave Red Velvet the nickname Summer Queens because it's such an Amazing Summer song the only problem is that Wendy was getting hate because of her weight (Which was HORRIBLE I can't believe people that say they are fans if a Group and then hate on a Member or more) she then went on this diet called the Yoyo diet I think (you should look it up, I'm pretty sure it's where you wouldn't eat really at all and then eat a lot, it was horrible!) Anyways I can't wait for you guys to react to more Red Velvet such as more Music Videos, B - Sides, Live Performances, Covers, Dance Practices, Moments, and of course Ships! I can't wait for more Content from you guys and I hope that you both are doing well and staying safe and healthy! P.S. If you ever need any good Videos I could totally help you out with that if you need it, also in the Red Flavour MV you can see them in the right corner doing sign language which is ADORABLE!

Red Velvet used to be my Ult group and Joy was my bias after seeing her on WGM, I was able to see how her personality was, how cheerful she was an instantly clicked with her. I used to love watching so much about them and their music but I lost touch with kpop after 2020 but this video.. and the other red velvet videos have made me remember why I loved kpop and red velvet in the first place. It brought back so much nostalgia and joy (no pun intended) that I used to feel from kpop. I want to get back into it again. (,:

Seems to be some confusion a bit but the song "One Of These Nights" actually is a Korean folk tale and it isn't about the Sewol Tragedy. The MV is the tribute to it. Hope that helps. Regardless it's beautiful.

As expected their 'Red' side isn't for me as I very rarely like 'traditionally' cute concepts, but their Velvet side, oh my. I feel I also like it more, because in general their superb vocals shine more on these tracks. I still love Red Flavour though, it's just to good of a song.

if you ever hear a lower tone in the melody/bg its usually Irene like at 3:28 when you pointed it out or Yeri (sometimes wendy too but not as often). Her and Yeri really round out their harmony as a group with their lower registers.
