This has always been curious to me, I have a few face plates at my house and they do provide a clean look but I haven’t found a big enough buyer proposition by luxury buyers to upgrade them in spec homes. Overall, personally, I hate light switches all together and would hide them all in a closet or out of sight instead opting for one smart controller on each floor to control all the lights settings in one place for a cleaner look throughout the home.

I notice there are no coverings/ blinds on any of the windows. Is that a new thing to leave them without coverings ?

Great point! The homes we filmed are actually "spec homes," which means they are new construction properties built without a specific buyer in mind and sold on the open market. As a result, they come without window treatments, giving the future homeowner the flexibility to personalize the space according to their taste and preferences.

No window treatments also let more light in and brighter rooms will sell a house quicker than darker rooms do.
