I love how Pippen basically just states that his line "the mailman don't deliver on Sunday" is the best in history, haha. It truly was a great line and considering Malone missed the free throws and the Bulls won the game and the series, it got even better with age.

The most disrespectfull story for Scottie Pippen was his contract with the Bulls. That was disgusting, being the awesome player he was
@natalieps23873 жыл бұрын
I agree they should have torn up that contract & gave him a new one. The story I heard was before pippen really proved his greatness he demanded a long term secure contract from the bulls. His agent & even the bulls said it was not a good contract bc of salary cap space so they said not to sign it as well. Scottie was young wanted to take care of his parents & siblings & signed it. It was front loaded with like the first few years good money & then the last years were low. This also was not horrid money but during the contract players were getting monster salaries right out of college b4 they proved a thing. Larry johnson was the first guy that got a ridiculous contract like 84 million for 7 years. Then Larry's back went bad very early in his career & was a shadow of his former self. So its not a good idea for a team to sign 7 year contracts with 1st or 2nd yr players & that contract caused problems with alonzo mourning his teammate was pissed & scottie & lj had beef over that contract as lj talked some trash & scottie got nasty back & a lot was fueled by pippen turning out to be the much better player though lj b4 his back was a beast. He should have been great & it wasnt his fault like he just didnt pan out he had a horrible back at like 24. Pippen may have started the trash talk by saying " the Knicks never should have traded mason for lj , mason is a much better player in terms of defense & offense " which I agree but I think the Knicks wanted a change.
@waynewayne96933 жыл бұрын
Nah that was his own goddamn fault and was warned what a shitty contract it was by bulls management and his agent. He knowingly accepted it so he had guaranteed money over years and was told by the Bulls not to bitch a few years down the road if this was the money and years he wanted. 100 percent Poppins own fault.
@Advent6163 жыл бұрын
@@waynewayne9693 Nah, most front offices are willing to negotiate a player's contract, especially if we're talking one of your top 2 players on your squad; they usually get first pick of kittens. Reinsdorf and Krause were basically like, 'here's your contract, is this enough for you? it is? okay, goodbye! we don't want to hear from you ever again.'
@MrDotaleavers3 жыл бұрын
in 1992, i remember he was chasing the 7 years contract... for some reason at the time it was respectable amount of money... given the stardom he was starting to become... but i agree, that contract should have been thrown out after 2 years... that was disrespectful and unacceptable as far as his accomplishment is concerned... Scottie and MJ always bully Jerry Krause though.

My uncle was a new Yorker loved all the non traditional ny teams mets jets nets. Hated Yankees knicks & giants. My whole family of course were against him. The knicks were my life from 93 to 99 i was this little girl 13 in 93 sitting every game with my one of my starks jerseys a knick hat & shorts for good luck in the playoffs. When pippen dunked on Ewing & stood over him my uncle got up cheering screaming " yea yea scottie u pissed on him f ewing scottie is a badass. It was funny bc like 10 of us were all staring at him like shut up. Man when reggie scored the 8 pts he started his " yea omg he hit another 3 " then he saw the tears coming down my face & he said " ok im.gonna stop I feel too bad for you. This was like hell being a knick fan bc we had so many years we could have won it all esp 94 ( i literally missed school for 2 days & my homeroom teacher gave me two excuses absences bc we both were such Knicks fans. When I came into school in 94 my teacher said " u stayed out cause of the knick game right ? " I said yes. He said to my whole class what did I tell u . It's ok I excused ur absences for mental health days " lol. That was a killer in 94 bc we had that one. Man those were the days. We lived in lower westchester ny so the houses were on top of eachother it's very crowded in nyc & lower Westchester than starts to space out the further in ny u go. Anyway like the lj pt play u could hear the neighbors on each side of our house cheering. Same with starks dunk we had a family of 5 kids all boys next door & they were screaming , we were screaming cause it was Knicks bulls the best rivalry in the 90s imo. Those were wars. Yes pippen grant & jordan were all good friends with Oakley & jordan & ewing were friends bc they had the same agent & had dinner etc.but riley put a stop to that stuff. So even though their were friendships in the 90s it was war where on the court even friends hated eachother. I didnt even know Oakley was bff with jordan. Back then they were real men & played hard & most of the other players hated eachother. Look at the pistons bird & laimbeer still hate eachother. Scottie & Jordan still hate Isiah & vise versa. It's been 30 years & they still hate eachother. The nba was so great back then. Now the players are all besties & go on eachothers teams like it's an all star game & go on banana boats together . That's freaking embarrassing that photo I saw of them all on a banana boat. Also it's a 3 pt contest these days. It's awesome when the players want to trash talk eachother & give " facials" as marv called those dunks on someone that becomes a poster.

That said LJ was a main guy pretty much throughout his career too, with the NYK he was a shell of the player we watched in Charlotte, but LJ was still a beast and THE reason his team was in the ‘99 NBA Finals!! That sick barrage of 3’s in the ECF was some of the most clutch play I have ever seen in the game of basketball!!

Just curious how many did Jordan win without Pip? How about playoff games without Pip? Facts don’t care about your feeling and Micheal played without Scottie and ya I heard it all he was old?
