You know if Iverson was taking a night off there was no question that he couldn't go. Not like players today with "load management" , if Iverson could run he was playing .

Dennis worked his ass off when he wanted to but he didn't always want to. And, with the possible exception of Karl Malone, there was no whinier personality in the league than Dennis Rodman. Your own video highlights it as one of his many tactical strengths. He deserves his Hall of Fame spot but he doesn't deserve the rock solid lunch pail mythos. Dennis was not stoic. Even in his prime, he required tremendous organization wide support.

I disagree Dennis Rodman would thrive in this era look at Draymond Green he can't shoot a lick

I just pulled a Pistol Pete card out of a pack of 22/23 panini prizim. Just a base card but it’s one of my favorite cards because of the man that’s on it. He is before my time but my love of basketball and the internet has opened my eyes to his greatness.

I feel like the way the game is called plays a big role as well. There are simply no travel calls eg, and if you dont hold players accountable this is the result.

I am born on the same day as Rodman...played the same position and loved him for all his weirdness, basketball IQ and love for playing...had posters all over my room. I aspired to be like him and I hope I embody him in some ways as an adult now. Just the love he had for ball, people, his way of life...he was just him. Love forever!!!

And the worst is that its leaking to the street ball court. I decided to came back to the courts after years of absence and gaining fake hope in seeing Jokic, Irving ,Doncic and the very few that, still playing a modernised game, make it interesting to watch. I go to the court , I get booed for playing in the post, shooting midrange and not taking many threes, and fighting for position in rebounds. I just quit and since I like team sports and to be in shape, decided to go to beach volley. Much better feel doing that.

Ok, I am going to attack Adam Silver. He does not look healthy enough to be the highest representative on any sport. And he is the typical middle man that in a professional world , a company that needs to sell product to survive, gets fired in a quarter. And you are right. The game is at a state in which you need a charismatic figure , a player and not a politician to make effective changes. I rather take Magic and even Charles Barkley (and especially because he is not a role model) to fix this.

To this day I maintain if Rodman wasn't with the Bulls in late 90's they most likely would not have won their championships. His defense, rebounding, athleticism, and intangibles literally filled the few holes that team had.

Maybe I'm wrong but for the next All Star Game I believe Victor Wembanyama will bring back attitude. I think he will try to block anybody on the court. Will he inspire other players ? I hope so.

People are crazy. The 73-9 warriors got beat by the cavs. But Durant joined *after* that season. That warriors team *almost* lost to the thunder by Durant.

Very little about his Spurs tenure. Big shocker of course it gets swept under the carpet. No Alpha isiah or Michael to hide behind. He tried his "mindgames" on Hakeem and then when he saw he couldnt get under his skin or stop Dream from kicking his a** , he just sat on the bench crying with his socks off. Glad i dont have to see him play anymore. Biggest flopper ever.

Honestly I just want people to stop saying “that I’ve seen” we just gotta be honest at this point bro Kobe was not as physically gifted as Bron and Jordan coming into the league, bro worked his ass off every year and during the offseason to get everything he had and do everything he did. Bro is the greatest player ever i don’t care what era what player it’s a lot of greats but none like Bean 💯🫡

Born in the 60's. Lived in New England in the 80's and 90's. Watched damn near every game Bird ever played in the NBA. The truth is he was better than these clips. No highlight reel can do him justice. Most important stat you can use to measure his greatness was wins. 61 or more wins 6 of his first 7 seasons. For a team that was dogshit for several seasons before he got there. It was the only stat he cared about and it showed. As a fan, that is the greatest gift a player can give you. Highlight plays are nice but wins feed a fan's soul.

this era pride itself with athleticism, having said that i dont this there is a more athletic starting 5 than a team with MJ PIP Rodman Harp and Kokuc, plus adding their tenacity on defense and clutch its really hard to beat

Adam Silver wants NBA basketball to become soccer-a convoluted mess that is played in every nook and cranny of the globe, and without any coherent structure. But that's a macro-level problem. The micro-level problem killing this game is the hyper-exploitation of the three point shot. It was a beautiful complementary element when it was just more of a novelty, a shot taken during moments of desperation or attempted momentum stoppers. But I think now it is inarguable that the unintended consequences have made this great game less exciting and less competitive. I get the original thought behind it: if you can make it from way far out, you should be rewarded with an extra point. But what happens when EVERYONE gets good at it? The other elements to the game are rendered irrelevant. Size, length, speed, low post moves, none of that matters if everyone can make 35-40% of their three pointers. The inventors of basketball had it right the first time: Incentivize getting good at making higher percentage shots...

I was born in 1996 and when I was a kid (4-6 years old) MJ was my favorite player and made me want to hoop. That aura stuff is real, and idk how to explain it but i know as a kid when I saw him on screen he had something magnetic about him that made a 4-5 year old who looked at their dad like Superman, look at MJ in the same light. Its unexplainable, all I can think is it’s God’s blessings upon Micheal just illuminating through his soul- we all have aura but he was so blessed and then had the mind to go with it that his shined more than anyone else’s
