You gave the disclaimer, after Dumbell gave his "blessing", that the the Dumbell cult was not affiliated with the LDS CORPORATION "church". While they say they aren't "affiliated", they have the same kind of warped beliefs. That "prayer" sounded just like all the many "prayers" they do. The 2 cults are more similar than they are different, that's why it wasn't a great leap of faith for all those people of the peoples cult to engage in all the craziness. The only people I hear say that they are NOTHING alike are members. That's a lie. Nate (the newsperson) is always saying stuff like that, but he's lying. Actually, this case helps me understand how the whole LDS CORPORATION "church" came to be. The same kind of shenanigans.

Also, why didn’t MG ask Lori who was “after” her and for what reason, and how that would put her in danger to know? This is a weird phone call because of the things that weren’t said by any of them. I still am sitting on the fence where MG is concerned. I was surprised to learn how relatively recent MG and LVD met, at some place that MG was apparently teaching a class. What class? Sometimes I think that while MG thought some of the stuff LVD was preaching sounded questionable, I think she was gullible enough to want to believe it. LVD saying “I love you” repeatedly to MG on that call borders on obsequious. I think LVD has used that line to her benefit on a lot of people, and by seeing their response, she figures out what buttons to push on them. I really do feel that MG was suckered into this and it spun out of control so quickly she didn’t know what to make of it. At least in this phone call she pushed back on Lori, which was probably the first time she did. I still am upset for poor Charles Vallow. Besides the police in Chandler giving no credence to Charles’ claims and fears, Charles apparently didn’t heed his own words. He needed to get out of that house and stay out. Coming back after that trip to Texas was a big mistake. While he knew his own life was in danger, I doubt he could ever have imagined what Lori had in mind for her own children.

Poor JJ! Lori had moved him so that he was in a different place and a different school. His sister was missing, and his mother got rid of his dog and took him off medication. I'm retired from teaching and worked a lot as as a nanny. Any one of the things I mentioned could cause change of behavior and difficulties in a seven year old. He was autistic. I cannot imagine what all of this did to him before they killed him.

Lori was upset she didn't get Charles' life insurance - Kay did. JJ got Soc Sec from Charles death, as did Tylee after Joseph's death. An attempt was made on Brandon's life - with Melaniece being the beneficiary if he's been killed. Chad got Tammy's life insurance. Hmmm...... I find it eerie that right before he died Alex suddenly married one of Lori's friends he barely knew before all this and then she got a big life insurance check for him, too. He was feeling skittish and worried about being "the fall guy". Tbh, I think they offed Alex, too. Poison, perhaps? We'll never know because he was cremated.

That's why I firmly believe Lori sought him out after reading his book where he claimed to be a prophet. His books barely sold any copies. I think she sought him out and gained control of him easily. He's very dull and dorky and had lived a clean life. While he's ĵust as guilty, he was also Lori's pawn. She may have loved him in some way, but I don't think she loved him like he did her. I think she made the "light and dark" scores into something sinister to suit her needs, which was to keep Tylee and JJs checks and the check she got for being JJs only living parent, without having to keep the kids. When Lori text him asking about people's light scores, he was just telling her what she wanted to hear. I think weird religion was the excuse and lust and greed was the actual cause..

At the church that I was basically raised in, we got a youth pastor close to his 30's who in the church before ours... He managed to marry one of the teenage girls (17,) she was my exact age, after that most of the congregation turned on him. So for reasons I can't fathom he came to our church and proceeded to create a cult out of the high school kids, into their young adult hood. He told my sister in law, who was in this crazy cult that she was possessed by a demon named Cloud. She left shortly after. I'm 32 she's 30 now and we don't go to church anymore. This man terrifyingly made me think of him.

That weird connection is murder and finance. She was caught in a lie because when all his children did an interview she stated that she didn’t know of Lori. This video says it all.
