What was her motive to kill her daughter, though? Like I understand, they don’t have to prove motive, but it still seems odd to me that she would just randomly shoot her five-year-old daughter after taking the kids to the park. And the fact of the matter is, nobody knows what happened, except for her and assuming that she’s the one who did it with no evidence isn’t great either. I know it’s an unpopular opinion and I don’t have much empathy for her, but at the end of the day, it’s odd.

My kids at two couldn't have even opened a car door, let alone pull a slide back on a gun. And even if he did do that and shot his sister, not only is that an accident because a 2 year old has no idea what death is... it's still her fault for keeping a loaded gun around! I cry sometimes looking at my kids because I love them so much, I cannot comprehend this excuse of a woman.

All that would do is get her charges bumped down to child neglect, child abuse and child endangerment for leaving the gun somewhere where a toddler could have gotten to it and for not supervising her children correctly with a deadly weapon in the house and then all the tampering after that. Actually it happens all the time...and not usually an aiming situation..but a random stray bullet from an accidental gun going off

There was a report a few years ago of a two-year old shooting their mother. That's the only detail I remember for sure. I think it might have happened in a car.

It happens pretty often, actually. You seem to think life is a Disney movie

@gaiaiulia That's fair but why wouldn't she just tell the truth. They don't put babies in jail. Then to accuse the father of killing her. Plus the evidence it's hard to belive that's what happened.

That’s what’s so wrong about this, the words she spat out to protect herself could have gotten another innocent person killed. What if the description of the subject was used to detain someone, who then got spooked, ran and was shot? I know it’s a lot of what ifs, but this was all to cover up that she was selling drugs. Let that sink in. Her daughter was dead. She was more worried about the cops finding out the truth about the drugs.

The defense lawyer here is doing her zero favors. If I’m on the jury I’m not impressed at all.
