This is the video I’ve been waiting for. I am a little tired of fall videos that people spent a fortune at Hobby Lobby and Michael’s and plastered their house in gaudy fall decor. I want nature. I want that hint of fall in my home. That little wreath with the grasses I would have never thought of…so cute. The torn frayed ribbon I have been doing forever, but I never thought of dying it to get the color I want. How perfect and dye is very cheap! Thanks Alyia for a really creative video that just gets those creative juices flowing. ❤️

Oh I’m so glad you liked the ideas!!! Sometimes I feel pressure to go spend all the money on all the things since I’m trying to inspire and encourage. But at the end of the day, I never find what I’m looking for there. But nature never disappoints. Beautiful, every time! Thanks so much for watching and for sharing your sweet comment!! I needed it more than you know 🤍🌱

Oh my gosh, me too. As soon as a video says "Pottery Barn", I click off. I can't "splurge" $120 on a pillow.

I completely agree with you! I’m over the Hobby Lobby decor and the fact that everyone’s house looks the same! This was a great video with unique decor ideas!

Any cotton fabric will work for your ribbon. It’s really cool to use stripes or pattern fabric. Very pretty

You are so creative and love all your ideas. I do have some flowers dried and leaves but never thought to decorate with them like you. Thank you so much.

You have no idea how much that comments means to me. I wish you knew the number of times I heard “you’re not creative” (from mostly self talk) growing up. Hearing the complete opposite encourages me in my growth over the years. Something I want to model for my girls 🤍 Thank you. Thank you so much! Have a great weekend!!

I’m pretty sure I got it at Hobby Lobby. But if it wasn’t Hobby Lobby it was Joann Fabrics. Thank you so much! Have a great week!

Hi love all your ideas. Do you dye the fabric then tear the ribbons or the other way. ☺️
@opendoorsopenhearts3 ай бұрын
I dyed it after I tore the strips, but now that you mention it, it would have been so much easier to dye it first! Finding a place to hang all the strips to dry was a pain. When I did it, I decorated for Christmas, then walked around each room with a notepad and wrote down what I wanted. Then I just tore that exact amount, then dyed it. Either way would work. If you notice my Christmas ribbon is a little unevenly dyed. That’s because I tried to do too much as once. Worked out for me. I love that uneven look. But if you want a more finished look, I recommend working in smaller batches 🤍
