I've always viewed adultery as not only a betrayal of one's marriage vows, but also a betrayal of one's responsibilities towards their children. As a father, part of my job is to provide a stable home for my children. If I were to cheat, I would greatly jeopardize that stability. Don't get me wrong; I understand the urge. I've been in situations where I've been tempted. But if I had given in, I could have lost my wife and my children's respect. Sorry ladies, but there's not a woman alive hot enough to make me forget how much I love and want to provide for my kids and my wife.

My father and mother developed in a way that they just weren't compatible anymore. My father was very depressed and couldn't find happiness in life. It came to a point where my parents had arguments multiple times a week, just because they couldn't give one another what they needed in a relationship. I can tell you that life isn't a simple as you being able to maintain a marriage just because you got married. Don't get me wrong, I am adamant about monogamy and faithfulness in a marriage. However, the moment my parents decided to get separated after my father fell in love with another woman was one of the happy moments in my life as a child. It meant that they both could be open for new happiness. It meant that something that was once wrong and hurtful, now could be mended and they both could continue to grow. Right now, ten years later, my father found someone who is a perfect match, and he can finally have the happiness he has missed the biggest part of his life, and I couldn't be more happy about it. I am very grateful to God for this blessing. Even though I am strongly in favor of monogamy, there are also people to whom sex is just a hobby. They don't see it as a holy interaction between people, but rather a simple pastime. These people can have sex outside of their marriage without damaging the fundamental pillars of a family. Because even though they are intimate with multiple people, they are in the end faithful to only one person. So in the end it all comes down to what kind of persons you're dealing with and what your definition of adultery is. If you're in a monogamous marriage that is sustainable and both don't want the other to cheat, then yes, adultery is one of the worst things you can do. But there are other situations that are beyond this rule. As up to the day I'm writing, my mother and father are still very good friends and love each other a lot. And I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

Piotr K. Uh. Statistically speaking, men are more likely to cheat. And women are more likely to be serious about a relationship. Also women who are feminists are mimicking the behavior of men, it's in another video called "Feminism 2.0" I think.

They aren’t exactly christian values - they are basic moral values. Broadly speaking, many cultures have rules for decent behavior - don’t steal, don’t cheat others, follow societal rules, etc. Religious ideologies falsely assert that morality only comes via their particular faith based rules but that is obviously incorrect. They spend an enormous amount of time trying to demonize folks who don’t share their same religious/moral perspective. You can see it in how the American fundamentalists latched onto race, gender and homosexuality issues to fight societal change towards equality in America.

Michael Simmons You cannot find a Godly wife by looking because they are concealed by God....just as Godly men are. The children of God are hidden in Him. If you are a believer in God, ask Him to find your wife. Tell him exactly what you’d like in a wife, inner and outer qualities. Then let Him look the world over for your mate. In the meantime, prepare yourself to be a pleasing son, righteous and blameless and worthy to be the husband of one His royal daughters. He will not give any of His daughters to a unworthy scoundrel. Then stop looking. Wait on the Lord to bring you together at the proper time. Get excited because she will exceed your wildest expectations. Trust your Father to provide all your needs. He knows you need a helpmate.

+DO NOT SUBSCRIBE OR YOU WILL BE HACKED - I hear you.. but that's why it's important for God to be at the center of a marriage. A successful marriage takes work, it's not easy.. but with God, prayer and self-sacrifice.. marriage can be a beautiful thing. No need to be afraid. Selfishness is the number 1 killer of a marriage. Being single is cool but it gets lonely. No companionship (except for friends) and no kids. When you meet the right person, you'll probably feel differently.

blackflag mcc no wonder people have unhealthy relationships, sex and true intimacy are completely separated. Lust of the flesh, particularly sex is what destroyed Sodom and Gamorrah. Also, consider the deluge. In Genesis 6, the fallen angels who were no longer just spirit, for they had left their first estate, mated with the daughters of mankind. Sex is so sacred to the Lord and we (mankind) throw it away like a cheap commodity! God bless you brother, keep close watch, we're almost home! :)

The only flaw in his video is portraying the man as the adulterer. Equal rights is the feminist movement. As a divorced man I feel offended. My ex wife committed adultery with her baby daddy(stupid me) and I tried to save the Family at my expense. She committed adultery a second time with a co-worker years later after months of her neglecting me while blaming me for the neglect while I was open arms waiting for her to come back to me. Please stop this anti-male trend. Adultery is bad we all agree but stop blaming men 100%. Thank you

Even if you disagree with datank1976 you could be respectful of his position and explain why you disagree, but instead you choose to (1) add nothing of any value what so ever to the discussion, and (2) directly insult someone who revealed his own pain at his wife's adultery, apparently for the very fact that he is revealing that pain. Talk about blaming the victim! Here's a commandment that should have made the top ten, and applies to you: Be kind to others, for you cannot build yourself up by tearing others down.

Yes, not everyone has a happy ending but throughout time, a structured family life has paved a way for success for the majority of people..I totally agree with your statement

Prager has talked quite a bit about the effect of adultery when both men and women commit adultery. On the Male-Female hour (of his radio talkshow) a few weeks ago, he actually devoted the hour to talking about if/when adultery should lead to divorce and a prominent example he took was of a couple where the woman committed adultery, not the man. I listened to pretty much all of the hour and he talked to callers, both men and women, whose spouses (or former spouses) had cheated on them in the past. I assure you, the video was not assuming or implying that only men are adulterers.

I am a Hindu from India and I also believe in Jesus Christ , when I first read some lines of the bible where Jesus gives sermon on the mount , I became very happy to read that where Jesus said " do not commit adultery " and the other one " whosoever looketh at women with lust has already committed adultery with her " . if american and European Christians follow these lines of Jesus , their life will become heaven , remember my brothers and sisters of america " blessed are those who are pure in heart " , attain divinity in this life , see soul in every creature and attain Christ consciousness
@danieldeluca4936
@danieldeluca4936 7 жыл бұрын
OK, but realize that Jesus was talking about looking at married women. If you understood what the original Greek says, that would be clear. Christ consciousness is not a Biblical construct, neither is divinity in this life, or the life to come. It was Satan who deceived Eve by telling her "You shall be as Gods, knowing good and evil."

@danieldeluca4936

I hate to cut and paste, but here goes: And here is the original Greek: ἐγὼ δὲ λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι πᾶς ὁ βλέπων γυναῖκα πρὸς τὸ ἐπιθυμῆσαι αὐτὴν ἤδη ἐμοίχευσεν αὐτὴν ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ. The word translated woman is γυναῖκα . This same word is translated "wife" in Matthew 1:20, 24 Matthew 5:31, 32 Matthew 14:3, 18:25, 19:3 and 9 Matthew 22:24 and 25 Mark 6:17, 18 Mark 10:2, 7, 11 Mark 12:18, 19, 20, and 23. This is the only instance in either of these two gospels where it is translated woman, and cannot be understood as woman in any of the other instances. Why did the translators choose to translate γυναῖκα as "woman" here? Throughout the OT, we see a recurring theme when it comes to the issue of adultery. It does not match our modern day understanding of adultery. Adultery, according to the Bible, can only occur between a man (married, single, or polygamous) and a married woman. The reason the translators translated γυναῖκα as "woman" is because they have a modern day understanding of adultery, rather than a Biblical understanding of adultery.

A huge problem with marriage these days is that men don't want to do it because there is no way in which men can trust that the justice system will not favour the ex in the court room in matters of dividing up property or access to any family created. It's all so tempting these days, for women in particular, to marry on the intent of acquiring resources such as money and property before marrying another for love. The Eighth Statement is breached all too often and you hear about it all the time on the media. Marriage these days is a legally backed form of theft with terrible consequences for the party that loses out. Therefore the family unit cannot ever be created nor maintained in such a climate in society and thus society too cannot be maintained if this is the norm. Children without both parents learn not to respect gentle authority and will henceforth detest the authorities above them. Marriage is now a con job pulled at the expense of jaw and order in society in this day and age. That is at least my tiny glimpse on the marriage, divorce, and societal impact in reference to The Ten Statements of God.

Joe Vazquez it seems you have a shallow interpretation of love. Addiction and lack of rationality causes a drug addict to commit such immoral deeds. Good and bad exist in all aspects of life. it's different to say you love someone with words. Actions speak louder than words. Love does exist in all realities, perhaps you haven't encountered love yet, but don't be dismayed it's present everywhere, it just depends on the perception of the persons view of the world and reality. Here's a an alternative view point, the hymn of love by St Paul in the Corinthians, google it it'll make sense. Peace

a man is supposed to provide resources and training to his offspring if he leaves for another women then his kids are left without their primary resource provider and the male offspring lack a role model for how they should act when they get older the wife also must stress hard to take the mans place. that's why we need marriage
@kuhaku9587
@kuhaku9587 9 жыл бұрын
***** wtf? It's not men job to do all, women should provide ressources and training to her offspring, she should be able to bring cash without a man. Also it doesn't mean that the man will not play a role model, it's all about 50 / 50. I don't believe in marriage, it does not help one rolationship and it can be used as a money maker. The man shouldn't be giving 50% of what he own or the if it's work like that, then the woman should also give the man 50% of what she own is she leave the marriage. This is just too one sided shit in life and it is use as abuse. Women that rely on men to get everything so they get married and she is in financial security, I have seen to much of that shit already.
@gary_beniford
@gary_beniford 9 жыл бұрын
Kuhaku of course I expect the women to educate her female off-spring and be a good role model for them. I also think women can work if they want but they should take less hours than the husband since he has the most potential to get resources since generally the man can work longer. I think it's crazy you don't believe in marriage do you think women should just make babies and have the man leave once the baby is born then you have a single mom taking on all the roles without any help or do you think the man should take the baby once it's old enough it's just silly the fact is you need a man and a women to raise a kid(s) right.
@kuhaku9587
@kuhaku9587 9 жыл бұрын
***** It seem you believe in it for only one reason, to keep the man. You DO NOT NEED a marriage to make a relationship work an entire life. It cost a lots of money for nothing, money that could have been used for children education, it do not make your relationship better if there was already trouble. And at the end if the man or the woman want to leave the relationship it is harder because they know they will have to pay back. Which end up with a lots of trouble in the house that affect the kids. Also no a woman shouldn't work less, they both should have the same work hour. It seem you think man are machine, but fuck you. If the woman is only going to work 6 hours, why the fuck should the man work 9 hours? This is not fair. Also it seem that you believe it need a marriage to educate a children with both sexuality. No, even separate they can do it by having having the kids 1 week 1/2 week. It seem that for you marriage is some sort of fucking economic shit that man are there to suffice woman need. Anyway.. I cleary see what kind of woman you are, or you have been raised as a stupid man. Cleary stupid. I hope you never get married.. poor man are going to get use by you. If man leave, this is mostly because of girl crazy behavior after marriage or after a long time relationship trying to make their man some kind of puppet, stopping them from having free time alone, refusing sex, 1 time per week isn't enough, 1 time per month is even worst. Then not trusting your man by watching other womens ass. Marriage is just a economic shit, it does nothing in a great or bad relationship if not making the woman safe to get all the money so they can live without a job, while the man is working is has off because he is forced to give a fix amount of cash. anyway, bye, I mute this shit. Your thinking about man and woman are horrible with your marriage. This is stupidly stupid.
@gary_beniford
@gary_beniford 9 жыл бұрын
Kuhaku for one thing im not a women so im not lazy if I plan on working harder for my family btw no one said house work is easy just because a women is at home doesn't mean she is not doing anything constructive. you still don't make any sense if people want to get married and have kids in the first place why would they want to live in different houses, never be with each other at the same time. of course marriage has economic benefits you get tax breaks buying one house is cheaper than buying two and if anything happens to you your spouse can help you out. I will agree with you your thinking is stupid and the fact you can't make any clear logical argument supports that.

Disrespectful get over yourself. Criminalizing adultery can lead to the misuse of legal resources that could be better used for addressing more serious crimes. Criminalizing adultery infringes on the privacy of individuals, as it involves government intrusion into intimate and private aspects of life. Obviously you like the government in your bed

I had been cheated on in my marriage and it absolutely traumatized me. It took me years to heal. I had recurring nightmares of seeing my husband w the other woman as well as nightmares of my wedding gown shredding as I frantically tried to repair it as I was wearing it. It was an absolute mess to suffer through. I realized then how much sex is not only a union of body but of souls. I made a spiritual vow to be faithful, and he did too. He broke it, and he broke me. The world is FILLED w temptation and always will be. I pray I never suffer through that again. I was told a story of a wife who when she discovered her husband was cheating she drank a liquid bottle of Lysol that was under the sink . A woman seeks protection love and devotion from the man she has committed her life to. When he betrays her in that way, it shreds her foundation for all sense of feeling safe n secure, loved and wanted. It was absolutely one of the most intensely traumatic things Ive ever been forced to go through. If we live in a day and age were emotion and physical desires are all that matters...then NO ONE matters except the SELF. We have a narcissistic society that encourages sin. My life is brand new again and I thank God every day for it.

1:26 "because like the other nine it is indispensable to forming and maintaining higher civilization" Oh really, how is "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image" indispensable to civilization? or "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy", seriously, the top 4 are "worship me, or else!" should not god crush our civilization for not obeying those ones before adultery ruins us?
@frbe0101

"Every civilization has religion in its makeup. Every single one came into existence with it." So? "In fact one can say that the concept of morality and justice are only instilled in a culture by belief systems." Now that is just an assumption. "You need religion to form civilization successfully." What happened before does not mean it needs to happen again. Might as well say we need barter, because every civilization began with barter, well no we have ADVANCED, we got money now. Also, what god? Allah, Yahweh, Vishnu, cthulhu? Will just any god do? Is this the game Black and White?
@frbe0101

***** No you are confusing causality, need for order creates belief not the other way around. Imagine your a tribal leader and you lack the power to keep people in line, so you say "god will punish you forever and ever if you don't obey his (my) commands", That is historically observed and also somewhat effective, of course it is archaic today, now we have governments and police and judicial process. No justifiable morality eh? How about I want to live and you want to live so lets not kill each other? I see no reason to invoke a god to create morality, self-preservation works well enough. I find you amusing too, your smugness is most refreshing, I love backhand slander and the hypocrisy of claiming politeness while openly claiming to patronize, delicious. Like those teens playing FPS I'll start fapping to you if you insult well enough.
@frbe0101
@frbe0101 9 жыл бұрын
***** Right off the bat with a strawman there eh? I never said religion was the foundation of civilization, I was saying it was a means to an ends. I would say agriculture was the founding of civilization, the cause of civilization, the cause of organized religion even. Religion having been used to enforce morality does not make it a foundation of morality, we have better tools now to enforce morality. So what if there is no objective morality? Your not going to kill because you will be killed. The wrongness of murder is to maintain something greater then your self: society. Do you have children, do you want them to prosper? Your genes do, hence why we developed society and morals because it benefits our survival both individually and together, to do otherwise will increase your chance of being a dead end in the gene pool. Religion like genes has evolved in our minds, it has prospered and mutated into it present forms, and now threatens our civilization: theocratic fundamentalist demand jihad, spiritualist belief threaten all the knowledge we have amassed. I'm glad to see you clean up your tone, the threat of fapping works.
@frbe0101
@frbe0101 9 жыл бұрын
***** My argument is that it is not, religion was only a tool not a requirement, and there are now better tools. Again religion is not fundamental, is not required. You can try putting words in my mouth all you want. If your argument were true: christian would commit no crime, yet they do. In fact christian make up more of the prison population then atheist compared to the population in general. And that not counting all the other religions and horrible things commited in name of those gods, of course those religions are wrong to you, and the crusades were a good thing too? The more secular a society is correlated with less crime, less war, higher standard of living. How is "I want to live and live well" a lie? I work with you and work within agreed rules and then I am more likely to achieve my goal of living and living well, this is the fundamental tenet of society, it is not a lie, it s simple action and consequence. It like saying gravity pulls down is a lie. I you do relies your delusional? I'll guess your state of mind because you seem to think you know mine better then I do.
@frbe0101
@frbe0101 9 жыл бұрын
***** And I say it is not. Agriculture is critical to the foundation of civilization, religion is not, it can be swapped with any other order enforcement system, at any time. Tell me what religion founded Chinese civilization? Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism are more philosophies then religions lacking belief in a omipotent deity, let alone one that dictates morality. I never said morality is not needed, I said relgion is not needed. Morality does not require a god or gods in order to work or be necessary. Consider language: there is no objective language of the universe (well maybe math). There are many different languages and language changes over time, making it unlikely that there is a "true" one. You and I speak a language, why not speak gibberish?, Why not just make up what ever sounds you want? There is no objective language so why not? Ohh that right because then no one would understand you. No one would understand each other, society would collapse. We MADE UP a language so that we could work together and survive. Now swap language for morality. There are many diffrent moralities and morality changes over time, we once were fine with slavery and burning people at the stake, religion was fine with this too, because religion is a pawn of morality not the other-way around. Relgion is made up to fit the moral needs of a specific time and place. As for why not kill if the opportunity present its self. A lot of people do! Regardless of all the religions. Our society has developed better and better ways of reducing said opportunity to kill and get away with it, and as a result our society is more stable. Claiming an invisible old man living in the sky will have you burn for all eternity was in fact an ineffective way or maintaining morality compared to the modern judicial system, police forces, surveillance system, guns, etc.

Thank you for this in depth wisdom on this subject. I am blessed to have someone who genuinely loves me and tells me this on a regular basis. I am grateful I didn’t marry the first men I dated. I was 32 when I found true love. Not perfect love for we have had to work on many issues together. Our true love and friendship has gotten us through the tough times. God is a partner in our marriage. His principles have given me hope and strength to resolve challenges that come to us all. I prayed for his help in finding the right person. He obviously didn’t answer me when I wanted him to but my age gave me time to grow as well as did my my husband. God blessed me with wise people in my life to help me find my way. Seek for this help. A wise Aunt told me when I was dating that hell was waking up every morning wondering if you are loved. I found heaven. God is no respecter of persons. He will help you too.
