Good info. DR experiences can def vary. 1st visit was fun (visited Santo Domingo) but the resort was on the lower side of meh. Boca Chica I think. Last visit was really nice HR in Punta Cana. So many pools and bars. Thanks for the info. 😊

I didn’t like Hilton La Romana. BUT, it was at the end of COVID. was so so boring and food was just ok. Just be aware that not all of the building have elevators. I didn’t realize that and ended up on the second floor. I have balance issues - going up was fine but coming down the stairs was scary for me.

Thank you for the information. I and my family and extended family have been many times to the DR at different all-inclusives and the one thing that makes me hesitate to go back is that we often got sick there, including needing hospitalization for very bad stomach bugs. We are extremely careful to only use bottled water, even to brush our teeth and we got sick anyway. Many of my friends got sick in that country also. That has never happened to us in Mexico. Have you noticed more comments on stomach bugs in the DR versus other countries?

Yet, I’ve heard you mention on several occasions in various videos that beach chairs at certain resorts can become lacking unless you grab one early, Permission to rant??? ….if I’m spending that kind of money on a vacation and I have to finagle a beach chair…. I will turn into the biggest damn “ugly American” in history!!!! Lack of beach chairs should never be an issue at decent resorts….just sayin’
