7 great tips! I am going to knock out a couple of the simpler ones on my website tonight. I’ve read a lot lately about how Google is placing more emphasis on authority and less on things like back links, tags,etc. I was recently featured in a upi news article that was syndicated nationally. My name is mentioned, my company’s name was mentioned but there is no hyperlink. Is there anyway to obtain SCO juice from a media mention like this?

Mentions are powerful as well not just links. But you can put on your media page an article type table of contents (toc) a small blurb with a link to the syndicated article. Your first one should be google news bing news and Yahoo news. Then the original source upi as well. Look for back links to you in ahrefs from news sources that are new. This helps search engines understand your entity and give you more authority. Continue building a relationship with the original source or even cold call them on the phone and ask for a link to be inserted after you linked to them in your article. Then it's a give and take but a win win. It also gives you an opportunity to elaborate on your business and maybe an interview. Then that opens doors to more youtube content and just the verbal interview on their sound cloud account if they have one and if not get a copy of the interview and open a free account yourself and link it back to yourself specifically a page about the topic or if its informational about the biz overall link to and from your about us page. Go to H.A.R.O - help a reporter out and leverage your newsworthiness by mentioning the syndicated content. Someone will jump on it. Then rinse and repeat above as stated. This is your opportunity to implement the snowball effect. Let me me know if this helps.

Not gonna lie, some of these techniques concern me a bit in how to work them, but I'm thankful that you break it down and remind us the purpose is to build quality links/partnerships. Still, 7000+ word posts are MUCH for up and coming SEO 'consultants' like myself (I use that term very loosely as I'm an amateur). Also, for technique #3, isn't it risky to use that in all your posts, just to float more rankings for pages? Regardless, this is invaluable information and I thank you for providing such knowledge. I still have much to learn in this field.

What are the 10 times better content than a competitor? Does it mean designing a post/page better, I run niche sites that I don't know a lot about the details, what I'm supposed to tell my writer. Is there live example of a not good content and 10 times better.

"Better" is subjective, but typically it's going to be the depth/uniqueness of the content, design, and UX. The "uniqueness" part of the equation is most important
