Hey, Nathan. I'm very new to SEO and want to know if you could recommend video/videos to learn the fundamentals. Thanks in advance

I used to love your videos for their unique tips, but lately, the content has felt quite repetitive. It would be great to see more fresh and innovative ideas again.

With SEM RUSH, I use my domain score to find keywords that can be used within the top 10, and from there, I just run NLP using the keywords that I can use, write them in a relevant way, and the game is over. Wow, this is a crazy tip.

Hey there! I've got a question. I'm an SEO specialist here in Argentina, but I've mostly worked in agencies, so I haven't had much experience with this gray hat stuff. Have you ever been penalized or had anything weird happen? Do you think it'll be considered bad practice at some point?
@user-oh9mi7qb5n8 сағат бұрын
hello. goth seo, thank you for the great KZbin video. I have a question while watching the video, so I'm asking. I understand that Google's algorithm has recently been updated, and traffic has decreased for regular posts, while traffic for Reddit and Instagram has increased. This means that traffic to regular blogs is dropping a lot. Even in this situation, can I use the strategy you just told me?

Thank you! Good question. SEO is not exclusive to your website, so the short answer is yes

ok, interesting @nathangotch but Ahrefs in a recent video says that no tools can detect IA content generated, neither Google. It's to complex to detect. So who is right ? In SEO industry, it's very difficult to understand what's going on exactly. Personally, I've created a fully automated test web site with artificial intelligence and automatically generated bulk content, and I've seen no loss of traffic. Quite the contrary, in fact. On the other hand, I have another site that has lost traffic and if I compare these two sites, the one that has lost traffic must have had content generated in a much more human way, pages on which I spent much more time fine-tuning the text. For me, the difference between these two sites is clearly in the area of backlinks, since the first, which is entirely automated, has no backlinks at all. And the second has purchased backlinks. I think that Google today penalizes link farms and spam backlinks, pbn. What's your point of view ?

I'm doing the same! I've been running for YEARS of the things I've been afraid to do and try in my business which is why I think it's never taken off. As of this year after many, many years of putting it off, I finally started offering web design. I knew from those years before that if I were to offer web design, SEO would have to be a part of it so clients' sites can be found and not just be a pretty website sitting in nowhere land on the internet. I was scared of Web and SEO for so long, but realized its like learning how to do anything else, one project and on step at a time.

Hi Nathan. Currently saving up to hopefully join the Academy soon. Meanwhile i'm preparing my agency website. Do you consider local SEO as niching down ? or do you suggest niching down further to an industry ? Also if you niche down (say you specialise in personal injury lawyers), doesn't this make getting referrals that much harder because your customers are not going to want to refer you to other personal injury lawyers in their local but are unlikely to know other PIL elsewhere ? Thank you.
@nathangotch6 күн бұрын
Picking a location is a form of niching down. However, you'll end up working with many different businesses, which is fine in the beginning, but will make it harder to grow. The one perk of going this route is that you can see what types of businesses you like working with. Then you can niche down from there. That said, I still recommend location + niche when starting. As far as referrals, if you're the go-to SEO company/expert in a niche, then they come even easier (from many different sources).
@ssou866 күн бұрын
@@nathangotch Thank you Nathan I appreciate your reply. I think I wasn't very clear. What I meant was, do you consider local SEO as niching down as in, offering local seo in any industry. the reason I ask is that I am targeting the UK market and search volumes for seo services for specific industries (for example seo for plumbers etc) are extremely low except for a couple of niches so i'm concerned about niching to a specific industry. hope that makes sense. thank you.

Isnt it a wise move to first go broad, test the waters a little bit and from there niche down? Im talking about the first lets say 5 or so clients?
@nathangotch7 күн бұрын
That's a fine approach to get some initial cash flow, but it will be problematic for scaling long-term. Speaking from experience. I went broad and worked with any niche and it was an operational headache. Since then, I've niched down in different parts of my business and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner
@DB22x7 күн бұрын
Thanks, kinda what i was thinking… currently starting with websites because i dont have any results to show for, plan is to just go after everything in my local area to get some cash in, from there try to upsell happy clients to seo packages since i already have my foot in the door, then leverage these seo results and slowly transition to seo while niching down

Great video! How small is too small for niching down? Also, should I pick a niche where the minimum transaction between the business owner and their client is at least $100?
@nathangotch7 күн бұрын
You should aim for 1-2 businesses per niche, per location. As long as that volume exists, then it's not too small. But you do need to consider long-term growth as well. As far as transaction size, you'll want to consider AOV + the lifetime value of a client. For example, if a client is only worth $100, how many sales do they need to generate a ROI from SEO? The bigger the value, the less sales they need to generate an ROI. That's why legal, health, finance, home services, and B2B are popular niches to enter. There are hundreds of sub-niches within those

Great tips on leveraging keyword targeting strategies! I appreciate the emphasis on focusing on low-hanging fruits and the use of tools like Ahrefs for competitor analysis-very handy. I've actually been using the free version of Plerdy for my website, and it's quite intuitive for tracking user behavior, which complements these SEO strategies nicely. It helps me see what's working! 😊
