To be fair, KOF began with Ryo as a guest character in Fatal Fury Special. Though the list though, I agree. KOF should get some guest teams here and there. Not only to honor and respect the franchises but also serve as a love for all things fighting games.

KoF has probably the richest and most charismatic cast of any fighting game series, many of which are underused or forgotten. If it was up to me I would not have guests but seeing Samsho/Heroines got them it's probably happening later for XV as well. Either way many of these series I'm a fan of too like Yakuza and SF and I would be excited to see them in KoF's system and their interactions with the other characters

Funny to mention guests, there's a drawing idea I did way back, of a guest team but it's a mix of Street Fighter, KoF and Tekken. The members are Rashid, Najd, and Shaheen. While most won't agree with Shaheen, but to me it works good enough.

I'll be honest, I'm not sure that Yakuza would be a good fit for KOF. Don't get me wrong if it happens I will most likely main whoever comes from it but I just don't feel like they'd fit the energy and style of KOF.

@@tyrantravealpha you’re right brother, I think they’ll fit better in a VF, DOA, or Tekken Game. However we’ve bared witness to Yakuza characters on a 2D playing field in “Project X-Zone”. Not only that I feel as if they’d probably play like Ryuji Yamazaki being a color swapped character. We don’t need any clones, but SOR and SF characters would mesh perfectly in a KOF game. I hope at the very least a SF team will come into fruition.

Great list! I'd definitely play all of these teams, including the D.O.A and Yakuza/Like a Dragon teams! One team I would definitely make would be a Tsukihime/Melty Blood team with Arcueid Brunestud, Shiki Tohno and either Sion Eltnum or Ciel. Another would be a Soulcalibur team with Mitsurugi, Taki and either Kilik or Ivy.

In terms of who you list here, I 100% agree with Streets of Rage. For Tekken I would take Jin and friends. Jin being the leader with his solid Karate style and red lightning would be cool in KOF style game play. Xiaoyu with her stance changes could be a lot of fun in a game where meter management is important, plus I think she'd look really good in KOF XV style. And Lastly but certainly not least would be Hworang. The Taekwondo practitioner not only fits the team, his combo style would be a perfect fit for KOF and could have some fun rivalry moments with Kim.

If we can't have a Tekken X Street Fighter Crossover game, then hopefully Capcom vs SNK would become a Reality if there would ever be a SF Team to be Guests appearing in a KOF game or a KOF Character to Guest appear in a SF Game.

I like the teams just which switch the characters in the Tekken team. Those 3 on a team are like having Ryo, Ken, and Akuma on the same team very similar gameplay. I would go with Jin, Law, and Paul or Jin, Hwoarang, and Xiaoyu

These are interesting guest teams that should be in KOF. Honestly I can't think of any guest team for KOF so I technically agree with your list. Although I thought you were gonna do top ten guest teams, eh guess not. Though maybe I was thinking of maybe of a few guests team that should be in KOF like team virtua fighter(Akira, Jacky Bryant and Aoi) Team Blazblue (Ranga, Naoto Rachel) Team persona(Joker Yu Narukami Makoto Yuki) Team SSB(Mario Link Samus) this may sound odd but Team Trials of Mana (Riesz Hawkeye and Kevin). I think those are the guest team as well yours list of gusts teams that should be in KOF. Speaking of KOF but outta the guest team topic, I'm still hoping that SNK will put Hotaru in the KOFXV. I don't care if Hotaru is a solo entry like before in XI or in a team if SNK will ironically put Hotaru in a team just bring Hotaru back SNK. Regardless awesome video.

OK so here's some teams I'd like to see. Does anybody remember a parody fighting game called Clay Fighter? Would be sweet and *shatter all expectations* if they included a CF team of Bad Mr Frosty, Blob, and Blue Suede Goo. Other guest teams I would like to see would be a Final Fight Team (you already know who would be on it) a Mortal Kombat Team (Sub Zero, Raiden, and Kung Lao) and a Streets of Rage Team (again, you already know who would be on it)

Great list, Shoryugame! I’m definitely down for DOA and Tekken appearing since they somehow implemented SNK characters perfectly in their style. I was going to suggest a team from the Under Night In Birth and Super Smash Bros series (since Terry appeared in the latter) but the former has a lot of characters who wields weapons and I know you don’t like that while the latter is composed of characters from franchises exclusive to Nintendo consoles.

I feel like Team GG should be Sol/Ky/Sin or Dizzy or Jacko because you gotta keep the family together. If you want Millia, had her pair up with Zato/Venom or the more Popular Slayer since they are from the same Assassin Guild.

DOA I think if ever they're gonna make that team it's gonna be Kasumi, Ayane and Ryu since they're the staple of DOA franchise. Mila's great, but of course not really well known. Skull Girls nice choices there, pretty much the top characters. Guilty Gear the first trinity is also a great team. Though I think Jack O now trumps most of the girls along with Baiken. The Yakuza series any character will do as long as there's Kriyu. Tekken I agree as well, in Project X Zone the main reason why they teamed up is because they're transported to another world can works as a story here as well. Streets of Rage no doubt the OG trio is great to be in the game. Streeet Fighter for sure Ryu and Chunli will be the staple characters 3rd one they can add whoever.

As much is would be great to have Yakuza Team in KOF, the creator of Yakuza confirmed that characters like Kiryu, Majima or Ichiban won't be debuting in any fighting games because he doesn't want them beating up women.

Honestly, after seeing the WWE collab in KoF AS, I BADLY want a team WWE. I want to see an interaction between Rey Mysterio and Ramon, The Rock and Angel maybe teaming up for a super if they're in the same team, John Cena and Terry, since they're both beloved, or even Undertaker. I just wanna see what would be done with them if they were brought into a traditional 2D fighter.

I like the idea of having guest teams in KOF and you made some intresting and great choices, personally I would put Dizzy instead of Millia in Guilty Gear team since she is Sol's daughter and Ky's wife so the dynamic is there and she is great zoner with a lot of projectiles options.

I'd root especially for Streets of Rage team. They are just perfect for an entry. Concerning the Tekken team, I dig the Mishima dinasty team but I wonder if their gameplay won't feel much the same - so I'd go with Kazuya, Paul and Yoshimitsu, why not? SF Team could also use Zangief instead of Guile, maybe. Cool list though! Also, I may suggest a Virtua Fighter team: Wolf, Sarah and Pai!

Okay, on the Yakuza and SOR teams, I'd replace Iciban and Adam with Saejima and Shiva since I think they would make the teams more versatile IMO but other then that, good team picks! 👍🏿 Now as for my picks: Team Spider: Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and Gwen Stacy (Spider-gwen version) Team Urameshi: Yuuske, Kurama, and Kuwabara And that's all I can think of for now.

Very intersting picks shoryu , but on the downside , nothing against ryu and co but they are already featured in WAY TOO MANY crossover titles so i don't see the point of them being here in kof , and what about kyo being the MC of this amazing franchise and yet not invited to smash or any other crossover game (besides svc series which is rightfully owed a sequel btw ) or even a guest role for that matter that's a terrible injustice right there (imo if we go back in time and make kyo a guest in street figher i think 3rd strike will fit him the most) anyway good job as always

For the Street Fighter team I think the third one should be a big guy like Zangief or Honda. The KoF roster is already full of stylish cool-looking characters, what they lack are the weirdos and oddballs. Secondary choices just to see the character interactions would be Blanka or Dan.

The issue with most of the teams you listed is that some of the team compositions are INCREDIBLY up for debate. 3rd member of team DoA - Mila, Tina, Ayane, Honoka, and Marie-Rose are all popular enough to potentially be featured. 3rd member of Team GG - Potemkin, Leo, Giovanna, and Millia could all work. Tekken - Some might argue that having 3 characters with over-lapping movesets would be a waste. I would have had a team SEGA for Streets of Rage + Yazuka +Virtua Fighter Street Fighter - Some people would want a SF team SPECIFICALLY for Ken to be in the game, even though his moveset overlaps with Ryu. We've already seen this issue to a degree, because many Samurai Shodown fans were upset that their favorite character wasn't in that team. Galford, Genjuro, and Shiki all have fans who would have preferred their characters over the ones we got.

Personally, I think Yakuza would fit better in Tekken and Skull Girls would fit better in Guilty Gear. But Street Fighter HAS to be in KOF as guest dlc. Ryu and Chun Li are a must, but idk about the third character. It's weird seeing Ryu without Ken, but maybe he's too similar to Ryu that people would want someone more different. Same thing with Akuma even though I would like a villain rep for the dlc. So I guess Guile is fine, although I would be ok with any of them. Alternatively, I wouldn't mind the new trio; Luke, Jamie, and Kimberly to be the Street Fighter guest characters to promote SF6.

Ha! Great list! I think instead of Mila for DoA, I would go with Bayman. I just love his grapple combinations and you really don't see that in 2-D games. That Yakuza idea was fantastic! I would love to play those characters in KOF! If Street Fighter is going to be added, we need Thirst Trap Cammie as a hidden mid-boss. Nearly dethroned Shermie as my main waifu in SF 6! The one "Guilty Gear" character that would fit KOF perfectly is Giovanna - she and Jam are my favourite GG characters. As for team "Street Fighter", I think Juri should be there instead of Guile - she is one of the most popular SF characters at the moment and would sell better.

Art styles might clash, but it would be cool to have some Dragonball (N.B., not DBZ) chatacters, some of the more grounded ones, as guests. I would pick Krilin, Yamcha and Chi Chi (as an adult, when she entered the tournament at the end of the Dragonball run). These three are all human, participated in the Bidokao Tenkaiichi tournament, and have powers comperable to the KoF cast.

Very interesting picks but a few of them may not be able to happen. For example: For the Skullgirls team, it would be hard to try to incorporate them in a modern KOF game where 3D models are the norm and i can see it only work if SNK decides to make the game in 2D like they were known for back in the day. The Yakuza Team is interesting to see happen but like how people were asking for Kiryu to be a guest for Tekken, the man behind the Yakuza games has stated that Kiryu isn't the type of person who picks fights with women, let alone hit them so they would have to pick another to replace him for the team which would be very hard since he's the series' icon. Tekken is something i would love to see in a KOF game since I'm a fan of them and who you pick is a nice addition but i would see someone else to take over Heihachi since his VA passed away a few years ago and i believe that Namco don't want to disrespect to him and his work as well find someone who can voice Heihachi. Other than that, i can see no issues with the other teams you picked out 👍

Honestly, my only major issue with the Tekken team made entirely out of Mishimas is that even as a none canon DLC I just don't see them working with each other, because they hate and try to kill one another. Sure, Iori wants to kill Kyo and yet he did fight with him on the same team, but Iori at least can be tamed for a time being (usually due to Chizuru). But you put Heihachi, Kazuya and Jin together, instead of fighting the opposite team, they would try to throw each other off the cliff.

9:23 that's only partially true. in tekken 3 Jin blended Kazama martial arts with Mishima karate, from tekken 4 and onwards he did Kyokushin karate to unlearn the Mishima style of fighting

DoA: I would actually prefer to see Tina, Bass, and Bayman as a kind of counterpoint team to Antonov/Ramon/Dinosaur... either that, or King/Marduk/Jaycee (imagine King and Dinosaur's reactions to one another!) Also, Chun-Li and Guile should naturally be joined by either Charlie Nash or Cammy (likely the latter) - KoF has no shortage of Fireball/Dragon Punch characters, heck, an entire existing team of KoF is committed to that style! ...but what about... KILLER INSTINCT!! Fulgore, Spinal, and either Sabrewulf or Riptor FTW! See how KoD takes on an *actual* Dinosaur!
