Apart from the potential money making opportunities the positive feeling it has given me seeing people connect to my store and view my products from around the world as well as seeing people buy a few products has given me a really good feeling. It is interesting to see how everyone has different approaches and there are certainly some things that Paul suggests and also in Emma’s video I that will try. Thank you to you all for the positivity you put into these Tutorials. I am sure I am not far away from success.

Very interesting tip about the Instagram page that explains a lot! Totally agree about CBO 's misleading into shit adsets! However , I think killing an ad after just 3-4 hours is 'dangerous' as the algorithm is still ( most probably! ) in learning phase ( especially with WCP objective that needs 50 purchases in a week to optimise) and so CPC will be higher as FB algo is still honing in on auction CPM's. You can shorten URL's by using Shopify URL re-directs.

Thank you for the awesome content! I keep seeing from researching on fb ad spend, that people seem to be spending almost half as much as the product price. That seems to be a lot? especially when they are scaling up. Is there a way so that the ads aren't as expensive? I guess this is one way to reach people you wouldn't normally reach.
@Oberlo5 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Facebook ads can be costly, especially when you're just starting out. Facebook decides how much to charge you and the only way to really get your costs down is to create ads that people want to click on. The more people that click your ad the less it's costing per click. There are ways to get free traffic to your website. Check out our free ebook here (bit.ly/2MWVJxv). 😀 -Kitana

Can anyone explain how this campaign would work for a brand new website that's had no traffic before? Paul says to choose 'Purchase' as a conversions event but how will this work if you've never had any purchase conversions yet?
@iLoveTurtlesHaha5 жыл бұрын
The Purchase objective does just that. It is optimized towards getting the most purchase. This means that facebook will show the ad to people in the interest group who are most likely to purchase. you do not need to worry about your past purchases. Facebook uses its AI and database of users' past behavior to determine if they are most likely to buy from an ad.
@MichaelRoninTV5 жыл бұрын

@tooclosetovomit69704 жыл бұрын
On one hand, this video is just what I'm looking for, but I'm not seeing results. I follow the ad setup for view content presented in Oberlo 101, which gets me to about 100 link clicks and 2 sales per day. But then I start playing with the settings in this video: switch conversion event to sales, turn off cbo, broaden and diversify the audience. Everything just dies. Link clicks plummet, sales stop. And switching settings back doesn't fix things; I have to re-write the ads from scratch because the ads are now corrupted or something. Maybe this is the hair-pulling frustration with ads you are talking about.
@marketingmei4 жыл бұрын
You should always duplicate your ad sets or campaigns before making changes to them. When you have a winning ad set, you want to avoid making big changes like adjusting the optimization event, targeting, etc because that destroys the optimization process, thus killing your ads. To prevent this from happening, duplicate first and then make changes to a new ad set so you always have the original winning ad set to generate sales even when you're testing something new. Ad sets are impossible to revive once performance starts to decline.
@sman964905 жыл бұрын
CBO will be mandatory I heard. There must be rules you can put in place on assets in CBO that if no conversion after xx amount spend, then pause.
@jordan28635 жыл бұрын
Of course, set a bid cap. Although bare in mind a CBO may be performing bad for a few days until it optimises. I’d stay away from bid capping. You will be able to monitor your ads yourself and turn them off in time anyways :)

Hi Jessica, I have a query regarding e packet countries.Every product on my store supports different countries which meet e packet criteria.Say for example Product A supports e packet for France where my target audience resides but Product B irrespective is my target audience doesn't support e packet rather has aliexpress standard as it's shipping way. I know Top 4 are the safest for epacket but since I m not getting results frm than I need to try other countries. So what's the best way to go in this scenario. Target products only where epacket is supported. If yes then I cannot have a general epacket list of countries.Plz guide. Look forward to your reply.
@Oberlo5 жыл бұрын
Hi there! AliExpress Standard Shipping is also fairly reliable, so I wouldn't necessarily shy away from those products. For simplicity, it's easy to target only ePacket countries, but it's not vital. As far as your customers are concerned, they do not need to know which method is available since you're the person who is purchasing and shipping the product. All your customer needs to know is the approximate delivery time. 🙂 -Jasper

@abdiasisibrahim59035 жыл бұрын
LLC is good but if you don't have enough money, I won't be too worried about it now. I will just get it when I start making money. As for bank account is concerned, I guess there is a way around it, but I see getting a bank account is the best option (if you are in the U.S, it's hella easy). Of course, you won't be able to get a credit card right away but you can get it in other ways. I started with a security deposit which eventually turned into credit card. Hope this helps

Hey there! Great question. When it comes to the requirements to run a business you will need to contact a business expert who is local to you. You would want to create a new Facebook pixel for that store, since the pixel sends data back to your add account regarding what your typical customer base would be. Since iphone users and pet owners exist in non overlapping market segments it would have a detrimental effect on your Facebook ad optimization. At least that's how I understand it, definitely worth looking into a little more. Good Luck !

Hey, there. Great question. The reality is that if you create brand appeal, and offer products that people say they 'must-have', then there will be people who purchase from you. There are millions of buyers out there and not all want to shop directly from AliExpress. Maybe they would prefer the personalized service of a smaller store, or maybe they don't trust AliExpress and would rather work with an intermediary. Maybe they don't know where else to look! In any event, buyers are ready to purchase from stores they like and trust. 🙂 -Jasper

Great comment on the IG accounts and you are under 10k and cannot advertise.. to leave it ""off"" your Ad set for now.. Then use IG directly outside of the the Ad Set- Thank You... !!
@djamilsellam9315 жыл бұрын
I'm not agree with him , every FB advertiser should start with PPE campaign , in order to get social proof (likes, share, comments), personaly when i see an ad with a lots of engagements this may move customer attention to play the video , (curiosity) . in the other side we are collecting data and we are able to know exactly who is our perfect customer by seing video views demographics and statistics, then we can create LLA from this video views custom audiences and this time we optimize our campaign for CONVERSION and put the same ad creative used on ppe campaign to preserve the engagements , and by using this strategy we will get a lower cpm , because a post with a lot of engagements increase the perceaved value .

if you're spending 50$/day 3 to 6 hours is enough. You leave it for 3 days when you're spending 5$ or 10$ per day

@@jacko89d Thanks for the clarification. From what I'm reading, sounds like you're spending more on faster data collection by raising your budget. Low budget testing makes sense with multiple ads.

@@jacko89d Since he takes it down within 3 to 6 hours, does it mean he can use less than that $50 dollars? Also, for those who their CBO is 10 per day is that for only 1 add? Because how will they be able to do that with 5 adset? Thanks

@@abdiasisibrahim5903 yes he uses around 10-15$. For CBO I am not sure I don't use it yet
