They should patch this out with Luigi saying "you have to make it accessible to everyone bro,so you must relocate it".In case one gets passed,you end up paying money for every time it is not found.Like if play is 100 coins you pay 75% of that amount being 25 coins earned.Besides it's unfair for beginners and should be obtained through normal means.

I do know how to roll cancel clip (Though, I do suck at it), but I just don't think there's any gratification to hiding balloons with it. What's far better is if your balloon stays active while still readily available to everyone who doesn't happen to know tedious tricks for clipping out of bounds. I just try to find a good hiding spot, and then get to there as fast as possible. I have a few spots I am proud of~

Balloons that require clever jumps are loads of fun. These balloons ruin the fun because they use cheap tricks rather than parkour skill. Glad they’re getting exposed so the fun balloons can get more attention

Right now I played some clearly amazing levels because some people are brilliant at this game and they force me to that good as well. Out of bounds is just you going "heh. I'm smart and you're not" Glitches are fun, yes. But not when they're ruining others times. Do it for your own fun.

Tbh, nintendo should get some sort of banning system for balloon world. Like, maybe you can report a balloons placement if its out of bounds. Then Nintendo can look at it and decide if the user is punished or not. The punishment would probably be not being able to play Ballooon World for a certain time period, that period of time getting bigger and bigger the more balloons they glitch, eventually leading to a perm ban from balloon world.

There have been plenty of things that have a "report users" option that do not affect the innocent with someone's false reports.

The only times I've seen an option to report a user punish an innocent is either when: A) The person was wrongly accused of wrongdoing by someone with a large following. B) When someone with a large following manipulates their followers to attack an innocent. C) Organized sabotage by a large group of people. And these don't make a dent compared to the number of people that will report something as specific as "the balloon is out of bounds." Those "large followings" would only be a small portion of the mass of people that is everyone that uses Switch's online service and Mario Odyssey.

Filumbitu Not true at all. In fact I don’t think they will ever patch it even if 100% of all balloons are cheated. Look at what happened with the jump rope glitch. They fixed it ONLY AFTER a major release. Letting all those 99999 cheaters stay there. Thats why I don’t just oush for Nintendo to be far more diligent in patching buggy games by instilling harsh punishments for those who cheat like this. Just ban them from all online activity in SMO if they jse any cheats to do any online activity. That includes jump rope glitches, balloons and koopa races, just ban them. Personally I would give them 2 weeks for 1st offence, 2 months for 2nd offense. 6 months for 3rd offense, and any more past that and your banned from all SMO online activity.

Now that’s a bit extreme, and let’s face it. It’s technically NOT cheating. I mean by usual standards, yes they are cheating especially if a casual player were to try and find it. But in reality, they are just abusing the mechanics of the game to have the ballon in a usually non-accessible area. Which in my book, wouldn’t be cheating. The game says to hide the ballon, which they are. So I don’t think anyone should get any punishment. If Nintendo doesn’t want this, they could patch it. But getting a permanent ban for abusing the mechanics of the game, seem far too extreme to me.

looking at the kingdoms, the only kingdoms without out of bounds clips are cap, wooded, snow, bowser, and moon (and maybe luncheon? i know there used to be an out of bounds clip, not sure if it got patched). there may be an out of bounds clip that i don't know, but that is what i came up with... all other kingdoms have out of bounds. moon kingdom has one, but you wouldn't be able to do it in balloon world due to needing a frog, which is behind the church, and you don't have enough time to get it and then do the clip.

Nintendo should make a barrier in the out of bounds areas that stop you from placing balloons there, like how they did when you fall and try to place a balloon

*_2 solutions._* 1, register all out of bounds areas as a place where balloons cannot be placed. Luigi will place it in the nearest spot that is actually in-bounds. Because 1 would take a lot if work, the other solution is 2, integrate a reporting system. You can report balloons for being placed out of bounds, and if multiple people report a balloon for the same reason, the balloon is taken down from the charts. The balloon will still exist and be able to be found via code, but it won't be public any more.

And to add onto the 2nd one, the coolest idea would be to add an out of bounds chart. When uploading a balloon, you can set it as an "Out of Bounds" balloon. Then it will be added to a special out of bounds "find it" chart, for people who want to experiment with glitches and clipping. Of course, this would never happen, but man that'd be cool.

When I play balloon world I sometimes get a balloon in snow kingdom that is 70-80 meters behind me, it turns out somehow people got a balloon up to the painting area you would access with a huff n puff, but you can’t, there isn’t enough time, and it keeps pissing me off, will you please help? I can't speak for anyone else but i personally have already beat the story, beat the post game, beat both dark side and darker side, got 999 power moons and am currently working on buying the last of the outfits. Once i get those there is no more reason to keep playing. Glitching my balloons is a great way to get passive coins so i don't have to drive myself insane doing bowsers keep and wooded kingdom over and over and over again. I swear to god if i hear that damn minigame song one more time I'm going to shoot myself!

Do these spots still work? Because there's another one that still works that involves crouch walking into the T. Rex's toe and it allows you to clip through the ground

Be aware that most of those clips are the same clip in many locations, and that clip was partially patched in the update, making it pretty much frame-perfect, and each individual frame in the game is 1/60th of a second, so it's almost impossible to do.

Nintendo can delete these glitched balloons, right? I know they patched some glitches, but they didn't patch any of the out of bounds. Hiding balloons in Out of Bounds area doesn't make Luigi's Balloon World fun.

I think it's fine before paying the coins look at where the arrow is if you think it's oob then don't pay just check other balloons and pay to play those ones instead, remember if you don't pay for the one oob then the user who hid it won't get any money

Glitch abusing is annoying and bad. Hacking is dangerous and bad. Glitches u can do in-game, while hacking is with external stuff. Glitches =/= hacking ._.

Doing things like hiding balloons out of bounds ruins the fun for everyone and destroys the point of the game. It's just like people who would glitch behind walls in call of duty and snipe people. I have no idea how someone could have fun doing that sort of thing?

I keep thinking of a versus mode in odyssey where you would try to control each other three times and if they have the hat on when cappy hits them they fall on the floor I need to get the idea off my head
