Another great video, Matt. I totally agree that the most important thing in any art is having confidence in yourself, otherwise your inner critic will keep you from ever achieving anything. To your fourth point, I'd say the best thing that's ever happened to me is getting a guitar teacher who's also a mentor and willing to listen to what I write, giving encouragement and correcting what needs to be corrected. I've come a long way with his help! Also, I'd add another tip: listen to what others are doing. I can't understate how important it is to listen to the work of other artists. Some of my best songs have come from ideas that hit me while listening to songs others wrote. Thanks for this video and all the hard work you do, man!

I quite like the video and the points, but the fluctuations in volume make it a difficult listen, hopefully that can get sorted

Sorry about that. I'm not sure where the problem came from as I used the same process for all my other videos where the volume is fine.
