I learned a shaving trick from my tattoo artist that works really great. When you are shaving, once you finish a stroke, with the razor still pressed to your skin, go the opposite way of your last stroke and it will pull all the hairs out of the razor and allow you to keep going without needing to fuss with rinsing out the hair. Each time you do an opposite stroke, move the razor over or up and it will just leave a trail of hair that you can rinse when you are done.

Most of the time balancing pH of skin means lowering it because cleansers can be basic (this is why it can feel as if it strips your skin). Skin is naturally acidic to kill bacteria and after cleansing, the skin barrier is compromised. Ideal pH is 5.5 but this varies from person to person. Toner can be useful for many reasons depending on the ingredients such as astringents, antiseptics, calming extracts, or moisturizing agents. It's debatable whether toning is a necessary step or not but just listen to your skin and avoid drying alcohols if you do use it.

Oh my god, camping, yes. Take a road trip and see some sights out west! I took a camping road trip and we tried to find free camp sites and coin operated showers each day and went to see mount Rushmore and the badlands and devil's tower. It like predated smartphones so we had to old school it with a map, but it was quite the challenge. You guys would be so funny trying to plot out the trip and trying to cook on a fire and make your way around. I highly recommend doing like... dirt cheap tourism. We saw so much and spent so little and it was really like braving the wild trying to make do. Id volunteer to go too but I have zero skills. I just made it work for a week. Lol!

Witch hazel is actually a great toner in itself (after cleansing) and it’s really healthy for your skin. It’s good to use as a make up remover but even better to use after you’ve washed your faces, to really clean up what the water and the cleanser couldn’t, while balancing your skin, and thus, preparing your face for the skincare that’s to come)

with the shaving gel, just use moisturizer. put a little excess and rub it up in the skin till it gets kind of white and then shave. you shave and moisturize at the same time and it eliminates all the bumbs and snags that come with dry shaving.

I can't use makeup wipes or any kind of makeup remover. They all break my skin out. I've been using plain witch hazel from the first aid section as a toner 2x a day. Also use it for cuts, bug bites, rashes, and many other things. Love it💕

about witch hazel: it works wonders to stop bleeding (after a shaving cut etc., definitely not for deep cuts), soothes itching and is used a lot in skincare for people with acne - that being said, DO NOT USE IT if you have dry skin (it's dehydrating) and keep it away from your pets, it can cause liver and kidney failure in cats and dogs and has the potential to hurt reptiles' respiratory systems!

cold cream is the real deal when it comes to removing makeup. you don't have to remove the cream with water, you can literally just wipe it off with a tissue, and it removes even waterproof mascara. it's also very moisturizing!
