I realized that the secret to generating a million dollars is to save up for a better investment. I generally tell myself, "You don't need that new Maserati or that trip just yet." I was able to boost my investment profits thanks to that style of thinking. For instance, I invested 80,000 in stocks last year and made about $246k (of course with the help of my financial adviser), but guess what? I put everything back and swapped with her again; at this time, I'm almost at a million.

During a bear market, the headlines will focus on negative news, whether it's declining economic growth, geopolitical upheaval, cultural and legal turmoil, or some combination of all three. I listened to a podcast of someone that grew his reserve from $120k to almost $460k during this Red season, can you share tips on how to make such aggressive proceeds in short periods?

Yeah, another reason I enjoy my day-to-day market decisions is that I'm being guided by a portfolio-coach. Given that their entire skill set is built around going long and short at the same time, both employing profit-oriented strategy and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downtrends, it's nearly impossible not to outperform. Since using a coach for two years and counting, I've earned more than $1.5 million in return on investment.

After a horrendous 2022, shell-stunned financial backers have misfortunes to recover and a lot to consider, as an expansion report and a pile of different information did close to nothing to change assumptions that the Central bank would probably keep climbing intrest rates regardless of whether the economy dials back, And that implies more red ink for portfolios for the principal quarter of year 2023. How might I benefit from the ongoing unstable market, I'm currently at a junction choosing if to exchange my $250k security/stock portfolio Show less

All "experts" I've listened to say the same thing. Buy now and never sell. If you hold a stock for 10 years the current state of the market does not matter. I used quotes around experts because everyone is guessing. My philosophy is investing is a long term thing. The current state of the market is irrelevant. It's hard to ignore the instinct to time things but it's just not predictable. Stocks might crash or they might sky rocket. Over the long term however you make money if you bought into good quality companies.

I’m compiling and picking stocks that I’d love to hold on to for a few years before retirement, do you think these stocks would do better over the years? I’d love to retire with at least $2million savings. Now you gotta rely on a pretty good diversification if you must stay green. Currently up 11% and being cautious. Still better deal than letting it sit in savings or checking earning near 0-1% interest.

That's all great that these dividends are high but the stocks are continually dropping. Not much better than the QYLD in my opinion. For example GNL (now at a 11% dividend yield) has gone down approx 50% in the last 8 years (since inception). Estimating if you bought $1000 in shares originally when the stock came out that value would be now worth $500. The interest compounded quarterly would be $548 over 8 years, making your total value to be $1048 making your overall interest to only be 4.8% which is pretty terrible for that period of time. I would much rather buy a stock that only pays 3-5% and ACTUALLY INCREASES. Let me know your thoughts.

Looking at the first stock pick EFC which paid a 13% dividend but dropped from $15 to $12 per share over the same period. Are you getting 13% of $15 per share or 13% of $12? Either way your investment has lost money over the last 12 months.

Thanks for this video, A usual I learnt something but this one also made me laugh which was a real tonic after speaking with my teenage son who I was ready to kill ( mods please note metaphorical (ish) ) but in all seriousness I struggle when it comes too considering stock growth potential over dividend rate and have found myself buying stocks purely based on their dividend rate which I now know is wrong thanks to your videos

Something I’ve learned from my first bear market: You don’t have to outperform, just survive. If you can survive and let your competitors blow up you’ll be the only one left and in a better position than before.

Yup, goes the same in Bull markets Some people blow out even on the way up with poor risk management and overlevering The goal is to assume profits while limiting downside and manage risk to survive up or down
