Thanks for sharing these tips. We do have to remind ourselves how blessed we are. I've lived before with no indoor plumbing, eating peanut butter & bread everyday. I remind myself how blessed I am to be able to have water to wash dishes & do laundry. I appreciate you being here for us !

After daily prayer, the biggest thing I did to become a better homemaker was take care of my health. Once I was healthier, I had the energy to finally start changing my habits for the betterment and benefit of my home and family.

I've always admired your beautiful home and I wished mine was clean and tidy like that, so to hear you say you clean for an hour and a half in the morning, then organize for another hour every day makes me realize I need to spend more time doing those things if I want to have a clean and tidy home. Thank you, Heather, for sharing these tips.

I am retired and love staying home! My husband still works and we have 2 cats and a dog. I enjoy my daily home chores, organizing and declutter. I do at least one errand a day to get out and about, or attend Mass and Bible Study. Showering and getting dressed is a must and so is eating healthy. I love preparing dinner or dining out after Mass. I am so grateful everyday and always include prayers.

You’re right. There are many aspects of homemaking that are repetitive, however I’ve found that mind set makes all the difference in transforming these repetitive daily tasks from mundane to joyful. And yes, gratitude is key!

I have a monthly planner that includes weekly and daily planners and at the beginning of the month I sit to write down what has to be done throughout the entire month (kind of big things, not daily stuff). Then I split the items in 4 weeks and every day comes with a to do list and a list of things of more importantance. Also, I always give myself a little treat after lunch, I call it my solo coffee and I drink a coffee and take a piece of chocolate to sweeten the rest of the day :). And I try to never end the day without having gone for a walk

I like a warm drink first thing so when I get up early to pray, I have a thermos of tea to hand, that I've taken up to bed with me the night before. I can then read a chapter or two of my Bible, pray on it and sip my tea!

You've always inspired me in being a homemaker, even before I was married! I now have a 5 month old and we thrive on a morning nap, to-do lists for each day, and baby-wearing 😊 These things have really taken the stress out of feeling like I need to do everything in limited time. Being realistic with what I can get done each day helps while also saving time for rest and prayer. It is amazing being able to be home with our little ones, I'm so thankful to my husband and to God for allowing this to happen❤

Heather I’m a new subscriber here. You give me so much hope as a mother. I have always wanted a big family like yours. You are someone to look up to 🥰 I had my son when I was 26 and it seemed so isolating because I was the only one in my friend group with a baby. It seemed like I was the only one with responsibilities and I was missing out on all these fun things. It wasn’t until I started going to my local Catholic Church that I realized I am NOT alone. There are young mothers there, some with multiple little ones- it just warms my heart. They are stay-at-home mothers just like me. Society and social media made me think I should still be out partying, traveling and working a fulltime job making money outside the home. That isn’t my priority anymore. I love being a homemaker. It makes me happy knowing that there are plenty of children in the community growing up with a parent at home. We are our children’s first teacher after all 😊 Recently, I took my son (he’s now 2) to the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program for toddlers and it is amazing. I wish I knew about it sooner. There were women breastfeeding, one woman was expecting (and just gave birth a few days ago), it was so amazing to see kind, welcoming and supportive moms. I wish I knew about this group when I was postpartum, it would have helped with the bad days. I recommend CTGS to any mom with little ones who are not ready for preschool yet but want to socialize them with other kids and start teaching them about the faith ❤️ Anyways, Thank you for being such an amazing role model. I look forward to your new videos whenever they pop up! 💜

I work full time, so breaking chores down instead of thinking I have to clean everything during the weekend has helped me over the years. I wash a small load of laundry at night almost every day. In the morning I do dishes if any, sweep a bit, clean the kitty litter. Sometimes I even cook before work. Maybe clean part of the bathroom or take out trash. I have the most energy in the morning. After work I take time to go to the track. Much needed.

I really needed to hear this today! Thank you!! Once I’m done with dishes. I love to fill my kitchen sink with Ivory brand dish soap & hot water and wring out a microfibre cloth to clean all the surfaces I can. My kitchen smells so nice once I’m done. The soap is non drying on my hands during the colder months. I also like to fill my washer and dishwasher first and have them running while I get other jobs done.

God bless you, Heather, for sharing. You r touching, so many people out there. As I was growing up, my mom, had to work, and my grandmother took care of us, when my mom, was at work. Blessed, I felt, for my grandmother was a very sweet lady, but I used to miss my mom. When I got married, with God’s Mercy, my husband, wanted me to raise our kids, which was great. How blessed we r to be at home, talking to the Almighty, when we have a concern, cleaning, cooking, and now that my kids r grown, and have kids of their own, I take care of them. Dropping them off school and picking them up, some days, preparing snacks or a meal, that is the utmost rewarding. Blessed, r , God willing, when your kids have their own. Thank you for everything. 🥰🙏👍🌟❤️✝️⭐️🕊️✨👏💫

You have many good tips but I think it’s equally important that the whole family participate. It’s everyone’s home. You mentioned if you are down the house turns into chaos. That’s just not sustainable. The homemaker should be putting routines in place and guideline that everyone can follow. Even the husband can clean up after himself. You are home taking care of kids and house while he works. If he were to replace you that would cost a lot of money. So this idea that my husband supports our family so he shouldn’t do anything once he’s home just makes no sense. You are also working while he is gone. Taking a whole family approach will grow independent capable kids that won’t struggle into their early adulthood because their mom did everything for them. I love your channel and content just needed to share my thoughts on this topic.

My dear, could you please consider making a video on Titus 2 woman's virtues. There are some good Catholic videos on Proverbs 31 woman but I cannot find any on Titus 2 woman viewed from the Catholic perspective, thanks for thinking it over. I made this proposal to some other Catholic youtubers as well but I am very interested in your understanding and practice of these virtues.
