On my first try with the Weazel Plaza event I thought it'd be funny to knock the guy off the roof with the up-and-atomizer but it actually just resulted in the game getting broken and I had to restart it then join another 12 lobbies to get the event again.

Funny you should say that, because I came across this event and killed the guy about 10 times and never got the prompt to pickup the gun, only after he got knocked out of the building on my 11th attempt due to a explosion, that I managed to pickup the gun on the ground.

Yeah, it seems like Rockstar’s business model has clearly shifted towards retaining as many players as possible for the past year between skipping event weeks, stretched-out dripfeed releases, and the tedious, RNG-based holiday events. I sat the Halloween event out because there was no way I was gonna spend 3-4 hours egg hunting for a t-shirt. I’ve been trying to wait for the Gooch to spawn, but I’m not getting any luck either 😔

After a hundred million there's no reason to play anymore. The game needs more free mode activities. The Taxi update is a step in the right direction 8 years too late.

As a player with a few thousand hours on gta, I always look forward to events like this for some change and fun. However the pistol took me two hours (I got the event twice and the first time I couldn’t pick up the pistol) and I still haven’t been gooched.

The pistol took me 5 tries!! 2 times it was bugged that i could not pick it up, 2 times other players came out of nowhere and it was a war around the plaza tower, no one got it and it disappeared,i couldn't believe it. But the 5th time was easy.

MAJOR TIP (if the event is still going): When you go into a 2 player session, make SURE your friend is an interior like the Casino or their Office. This will 100% make it go to you in a 2 player lobby, since the other player is an invalid target.

It would explain why people go so long without seeing the Gooch. A lot of people stay in vehicles or businesses which would prevent them from getting attacked

I don't know why Rockstar relies on RNG so much with these type of events especially when Freedmode events conflict with each other.

Because they can tell at the next investors call that so much players spent so much time in the game. Investors only seem to look at how big the playerbase is, what's the overall playtime and of course how much money the game makes. It doesn't matter for them how the players spend their time in the game as long as they spend time in "their" game. You can see this everywhere in Rockstar's games (to be fair, other companies aren't that different). May it be boring grind that either takes an eternity or pushes you to the Sharkcards, collectables that take you hours to complete or daily challenge streaks that make you join the game on a daily base and if you're already in there you might as well play 1 or 2 hours even though your objective for the streak can be done in five minutes.

@@allopic3764 Yep it’s still broken. The only fix I found is to make him fall from the building with the Up-N-Atomizer then pick up the gun on the ground down the building instead of the roof since it always falls through it, worked every time I tried

For anyone still interested after watching this: yes, the event sucks, no, you don't have to stay on foot. Being in a vehicle seems to increase your odds. A friend and I got Gooched on three different characters all while driving or parked in cars. Invite Only, in a car, one friend either active or afk, more likely at night, boardwalk south of pier and casino entrance confirmed (by me, fwiw) locations. Enjoy the mask you'll never wear!

I feel your pain dude, because it took me 4 hours for this Gooch event to happen with me on the day this event week first started. And oh! golly skipping lobbies was annoying at most. The crucial thing is to have spare change for it to happen I had an extra $10 for the Gooch to spawn in to mug me. It's the most tedious event because it's literally "Pot Luck". But the main thing is at least you've got yours in the end

For those still trying to get Mr. Goonch (name sounds better with the "n") to spawn, try these conditions: - Player trying to get the Mask needs to have full snacks and cash on hand. - Player helping friend needs to empty ALL cash from hand and snacks so Mr. Goonch only targets other player in sessions. My cousin and I experimented this on both PS5 and PS4, and we got the guy to spawn 4 times and figured out how he's programmed. He'll ignore players with no cash in hand and target those who have something for him to steal.

Honestly took me more time in game to get the gouch that it took me to collect 200 pumpkins :D The best way is still a 2 player session, spend at least 1 hour in it and he "might" spawn but really the most annoying thing was that I got him twice and my friends not. I killed the gouch and asked my friend to take the present since I already had it but for him there was no present so we can't "share" this event... Had to spend a lot more time in game JUST for that. Honestly I got really bored and I don't feel like playing anymore, at least for now. Dripfeed is too small to keep entertained... If I was lost in a desert and Rockstar was dripfeeding me water I'd die within hours

Funny thing is, the event spawned for me in the first session I joined, while goofing around with my mate. I was on a rant about how broken Gooch's mechanic is and told him about your tweets when it spawned and mugged me.

This happened to me with the service rifle back when you could only get from finding the parts. It took me 8 hours because after 48 minutes I would fly to every spawn point and nothing would be there.

I have done this event too. It tooks several days before i found the best criteria for spawn. And after that I can not hide it by every gun locker, like hazardous jerry can, and it didnt show up as owned weapon in RGSC page. At least the gun is pretty competitive

The Die Hard event can be triggered in a solo lobby. Be in the lobby for at least 20 minutes and then stay within 400m of the Weazel building between 8pm and 6am.

Can be... though it didn't happen for me. I had much better luck setting respawn point to last location, going to the building, and then jumping public lobbies until the event was there. Usually that's pretty fast... still took me 6 tries to actually be able to pick up the gun after doing the event, though.

I completely understand how you feel and I agree Rockstar is becoming complacent with their creativity and dragging their feet literally to have people like us gamers play their game for hours for one thing that doesn't even show up, and (we're loyal)... is the thing that gets me I feel betrayed at this point and I'm seriously considering stopping playing GTA until after the GTA 6 comes out.

I’m glad to know I wasn’t the only one struggling with this this. I spent enough time to get all 10 of my Fooligan missions done for the acid lab upgrades and NEVER got him to spawn despite doing this in public sessions and invite only with friends. And then by dumb luck, got gooched leaving the dealership in a random public lobby. Rockstar really needs to restrict all the requirements for these RNG events, especially during the holidays. Not everyone wants to dedicate 10+ hours to a game when there’s so much already going on this time of year.

I’ve spent over 10+ hours in public lobby’s and he hasn’t spawned once for me. I was even in a public lobby with like 5 players for 3 hours and he never spawned for a single player in that session. RNG seriously needs to die in video games.

The spawn area for the Die Hard event is actually very small - I was driving around the general vicinity of the building for a while but it turns out you have to actually be driving right past the building for it to activate. No luck with the gooch even after reading up on the conditions posted by tez/floorball/etc so I've given up I'm guessing along with the switch to the copypasta cars and the crappy mission implementations of R* India most of the playtesting (if they ever do any) has also gone there as well

Ghillie hits the nail on the head with this. I joined a session, walked out of my agency and immediately got robbed by the Gooch, not even 5 minutes in a game. But like he says, that damn die hard event drove me insane, I saw it spawn 4 times and only on interacting with it the 4th time, 3 hours and multiple session jumps later did it deem me worthy to pick up the pistol, absolutely ridiculous.

0:57 According to GTA Series Videos guide, they said the conditions of getting the Gooch event were the following: -two players is the minimum required in order to have a chance to trigger the event -the players MUST NOT be in a mission or in a building -they MUST be in an accessible area -they MUST have money in their wallet and in the bank account. Fun fact: I was told the Gooch event, as well as the Die Hard event (with the pistol) has a chance of 10% of trigger, even if all the conditions are met. One more reason to say that any more random events will only make it worse and they need to be turned into some private missions (like contact missions) or something.

@@mi-gato-no-goku As he said, just because it spawned faster for some doesn't mean it wasn't an issue for others. The thing is there are already a good number of random events in freemode in GTA Online and they are based on RNG and you want to have a certain spawn for you, but you get something else instead and this can drive some people insane. For instance, me, I have yet to collect the pistol from the Die Hard event on the second character. I was in a lobby of my own waiting 20 minutes or so and I was flying around the Weazel Plaza shootout area between 8PM-6AM in game-time in order to trigger it. It didn't work. Then I set my spawn location as Last location and jumped public lobbies during the aforementioned in-game time hoping that people that were around the area triggered the event. It worked well for the first character, but for the second one, it didn't and I think I already jumped more than 60 lobbies, some even with modders (yes, it's on PC, if you were asking) and still no pistol event for my second character.

The gooch was easy. All you had to do was have cash and snacks. Spawn last location. Somewhere random on a street in the city. Stand in 1st person and stay still looking forward. I was told these tips and I got gooched the second lobby I went too. Doesn't need to be 48 minutes of waiting. As long as someone in the lobby has been in for 48 minutes it works. Also works on multiple people in one lobby only every 48 minutes. Generally if you would jump lobby's and find a small one maybe if your lucky and like 10 and under, usually at least one person has been sitting AFK or something for 48 minutes.

Gotta agree that I love the CONCEPT of "The Gooch" and also of recreating Die Hard, but man, the implementation of these things always has a serious problem one way or the other. RNG for Gooch as described, gun unable to be picked up glitch for Die Hard. Previous events too, like all the pumpkins for a shirt (no way I was doing that one), or even having to find "special cargo" business battles for other things, and often having to repeat because you get duplicate rewards when you deliver the cargo (RNG strikes again). It really starts to feel like R* is just seeing how long of a period they can make me play while dangling some random carrot in front of me as a prize.

For me, all I did was mess around with my friends smashing into each other with any armored vehicle we had while destroying each other at the same time for a good while then at the end of our tomfuckery I saw a present icon that I've never seen before so I went to it and it was the Gooch mask. I never got to see the dude but I killed him somehow lol.

I didnt bother with the cooch. I got the die hard pistol event easily. I was never able to get the die hard event to activate solo in invite only but when I went into a public lobby where there was 5 players it launched quickly. I actually found a public lobby not populated by douche bags looking for trouble for once and did a couple solo sales there also. The cooch never did come into the public lobby even after 4 hours.

For me on Series S the diehard event took about 3 hours of waiting. On PS4 Character 2 I did a sell mission, flew bac to the city and diehard mission spawned. On PS4 Character 1 I spent about 8 hours. I have yet to see the gooch anywhere. My brother got him but it glitched and vanished when he was running up to the gift that he leaves behind. I've basically given up getting the mask at this point.

It took a few minutes for The Gooch to go after my main character, then a few days with my second character. After I read, then verified that The Gooch is more likely to spawn in Fort Zancudo. I also read he likes spawning on top of Mt. Chiliad.

I wasn't even trying to get it in my invite only session. I thought it was some new hack where a player could get into an invite only session 🤣🤣🤣. I was talking to my friend because we were about to get off. I was sitting in my car, it was like perfect timing. I turned my camera so it was facing behind me, and he ran directly from behind where my camera was. I was like wtf is going on!? 😅. He pulled me out and it took forever for me to get up. I just got back in my car and shot him up. He took like 7500 and I got 35k. It was funny because I wasn't trying to get it and I didn't know it existed...

Same here, i knew about the even but was not trying to get it. There were like 27 players in the lobby, i was at beach trying to spawn an aircraft. All of a sudden the gooch mugged me and was able to get the mask, It was same about the pistol too, tried before but no luck, but yesterday i was driving around with some randoms and heard some police helicopters , i checked the map and saw a red dot.... Pure luck🤤 good job rockstar 😪👍

I get what you mean. I remember when the event week went live on Thursday, I was with my friend Red in an invite-only lobby and we were going around the map destroying the snowmen and he got the Gooch relatively quickly. Just yesterday, he joined my lobby to help spawn it in for me and we were there for a good 2-3 hours before it finally spawned in. As soon as I saw the Gooch, I thought the same thing as you: "Why can't we get the full outfit? It looks so much cooler than just the mask." I hope next week, the Gooch event is still in the game but the award is the full outfit and not just one part of the outfit that looks worse than the real deal.

What’s crazy is that it took me 2 mins to get the mask. I joins gta online and my friends invited me to a friend/invite only lobby. When I joined I saw the red dot indicating that the die hard event was active. I drove over there in my toreador and just as I stopped and got out the car, the Gooch mugged me and got hit at the same time by the same car that hit me. We both got up at the same time and I just used the assault shotgun to kill him and claim my prize. I didn’t stress over the mask and was rewarded with no wait time

I started a closed friends session by myself and did crate work for 48 minutes, told my bro to get on. The gooch spawned for me within 10 minutes of him joining. After about an hour he spawned for him.

It’s not even just RNG events, the amount of times where there’s 2 items available through event cargo in business battles and so many times after doing so many different types of business battles I keep getting the same one. I almost feel I have to do 2 entirely different business battles within the same lobby to obtain both items. Doing a business battle in 1 lobby to obtain the first item and then switching to another in the hopes another business battle will spawn in quicker doesn’t work either. So many tiny little details are just completely flawed. I fail to see how it can be this hard to make this work properly

The Gooch goblin thing randomly appeared when I was at the top of Mt. Chilliad, so I got him swiftly. Not really pleased getting jumped like that. In fact, that's why he's probs not appearing to anyone else, he's just another degenerate griefer-tryhard who randomly attacks innocent heister-grinders minding their own business unannounced from outta nowhere. I noticed when playing that the notice telling you that the Gooch visited someone only showed up when they collected the gift that the Gooch dropped, meaning that if the Gooch got away the message wouldn't show up, so it is possible the Gooch was spawning, but you didn't know because it was getting away.

i’ve actually had a super hard time getting the die hard event. first 2 tines i got it’s the pistol glitched and i couldn’t pick it up. then i couldn’t get the event to spawn in for the life of me. finally late last night i got it and it finally didn’t glitch.

I suspect the Gooch trigger may work similar to previous events in GTA where the Gooch can appear in one of several predesignated areas, whenever you enter a "Gooch area" a check is ran to see if he's sent after you or not. If he doesn't spawn I recommend you don't hang around and wait for him to show up but instead stroll around a bit and see if he shows and drive off to another part of the map to see if he strikes. Playing the game in friends sessions me and my 3 buddies who drives everywhere and derp around on foot all over the map have been visited by the Gooch many times each. Meanwhile our angry german friend who flies around on his silly rocket bike a lot and idles around the same spot semi AFK waiting for the strike to happen only had him show once.

Did it twice, go into invite with 2 people, literally at the 48 minute mark one person stays up on an oppressor or aircraft and the other person stays on the ground. Worked both times, hope it works better now.

I did the Diehard one after switching to like 10 public lobbies. When got down to the ground he knocked me on my ass but then I blew up and died from a car explosion at the same time some how. Guess what, he disappeared when I spawned back. I heard if you join a invite session with just a friend and the friend doesn't keep cash on them but you do, he will go after you first. Not sure haven't tried it yet.

I got him via finding a puplic lobby with a vary low player count where I was the only one walking around was me and I recommend putting Imani's hidden spot over you while you wait so no randoms bother you .

We as gamers in general need to have standards for ourselves. If you're sitting for over an hour for a limited time mask that you realistically won't even wear outside of once or a pistol that's outclassed by half of the pistols you probably already have, is it really worth waiting for over an hour session hopping just to be underwhelmed or disappointed by something that's limited time? Ask that to yourself next time you're session hopping, bored out of your mind playing what's supposed to be a piece of entertainment.

Lol. The easiest way I found was to chill in an apartment with friends in an invite only. Take turns going outside alone every few minutes. The Gooch can only attack the person outside. Guaranteed to get Gooched. Controlled RNG. 🙂

Once I saw a video of the mask you get, I didn't even bother. I got the Die Hard event once, and after killing the guy the blue dot appeared on the map, but the gun was nowhere to be seen. Have yet to get that event to spawn again.

Yea, took me forever too. I think it might be tied to the freeroam events somehow? I think the sweet spot is finding a lobby with too few people for a business battle but still more than one. I eventually found a 3-4 player lobby and just sat for 48 minutes and got lucky.

It's not this random event, but this last Halloween, one of the NPC attackers (the clown) had a bugged appearance. To put it simply: it was trying to spawn in. I could hear the circus music and hear the laughter. However, I could no longer run, I couldn't bring up my interaction menu and any weapon I equipped my character would immediately put away. I spent 20 minutes waiting for it to spawn in so we could fight but he never did, I couldn't get in any vehicle to leave and I had to just close my game entirely. So, it's possible the Gooch has a bug, too

The Gooch spawned on me when I was the only person in a session, though it happened at the exact moment when the only other player there had left.

I'm literally cursed with this event,I literally am exactly in a closed friend session but,it feels like I've only got attacked cause I did but three times but,with only me,the third time was yesterday,I couldn't find the trick to find for the gooch except that go on a closed friend session cause it's obvious it won't go on you in a public session,the other thing that I noticed is that he mostly spawns in the city or it's the most easiest to spawn in the city (do the third trick to,and that is at least have up to $130,000 on you in-cash only with $0 in the bank account or/debit in GTA Online ofc or of course,do $200,000 just to make sure,and don't just walk around,be idle,you have to make sure of that cause for me specifically,that's how he spawned for me,and hopefully it does the same for other people also) only,the gooch can also get you out of your car,APC,doesn't matter if you're in anything,as long as you're idle for a certain amount of time (Idk or I don't know exactly for how long,just as long as possible) cause he got me out of my APC the second time he got me,and I mean completely idle,I found out that walking doesn't really do the trick,you have to be idle,and if he doesn't spawn,just do a different closed friend session only server,not public cause people are going to get it rather than you most of the time,I even tested to see if literally only the second player in a closed friend session could get it but on the third time,and maybe even the second time (I was near my Paleto Bay bunker idling in my APC for a bit wen that happened) for me,that got disproven wrong but,anyway it's the same with the Die Hard event but there is a better trick to that event,and that is spawn in a public session multiple times until you spawn in a server (that has it) within 400 meters from the Weazel Plaza 101 building that the pistol spawns at on the roof after you kill the Hans Gruber rip-off or watever,and this is after you set your spawn location to last location near the Weazel Plaza 101 building then keep going in Public sessions until it's there,and if you don't get it,just keep going in public sessions until it appears,me,and my 11 year-old nephew got the pistol with this method but,he figured it out first from some video on youtube that I got confused by the previous night but,anyway,hopefully this helps some people get these two things for whoever reads this whole thing,you're welcome........... 😎🎁 And merry late Christmas,and Happy New Year's Eve/Day!

It took me between one and two hours for the Gooch. The Die Hard event is a different story, taking absolutely forever to spawn and almost never getting it in the end since someone else was going for it

It’s better to be far away from other players. I got it within 2 lobbies after just lobby hopping and getting a random guy to help me. After a while he went for me

Me finding out that I could have a ligit Bigfoot Outfit due to the Halloween event got me to play again during October get it and see other people running around, trolling, etc. in it. It made the game fun again though R* seems to be the type to hit it on the head on one target than completely miss the next...and I do not get why.

i was in an 8 player lobby with 3 of my friends, and the entire night it spawned on the same friend 3 times but it didn’t spawn for anyone else in the lobby

Me and my crew member were practicing at the beach. The Gooch hit him 3 times back to back during the session. It was hilarious

i just got the mask after 3 weeks on and off. When I got it I had been doing LS car meets and buying cars, decided to leave to spawn it and it took 6 minutes for it to spawn.

I got in an inv only with a friend and he spawned in on me exactly when my timer had hit 48 mins. Changed lobby so my friend could get the mask. Same thing. Have mugged me like 3 or 4 times without me even paying attention since then. And the diehard event keeps spawning for me when I'm like in the clothing shop near it without me having to try to spawn it so I can't say I can relate to this video. I'm on ps4.

And if you want him to spawn on you, be on foot and have your friend be in a heli or in his apartment therefore it´s a 100% that he will spawn on you.

It’s one Gooch per session. Once he attacks he won’t be back. He kept targeting your friends because they had cash on them.

I've played almost every night since they readded the snow with 2 friends and both of them got the mask the first night we played while I haven't been able to get him at all yet

I have to say we didn't have any issues getting the Gooch to appear in our lobby. I formed a Closed Friends Lobby and then we'd make sure that there was only two of us at a time in the lobby, then we made sure to just meet the requirements which are: Minimum of 48 minutes in lobby, at least 2 people, not doing any missions, both players have money in the bank and in their wallet, no one be inside a building and both players be on the ground and in an accessible area. We used or kept bicycles near us so the Gooch could not outrun us. We only had 2 players in session at any time, we placed correct weaponry in our weapon inventory wheel so it would be ready to go and we NEVER jumped into a different session so it wouldn't reset the 48 minute timer. It took us about one hour to trigger the first Gooch and between 40 minutes and an hour to trigger the event again each time. We all stayed within the area around the Weasel Plaza, no more than a block in any direction just in case we might also trigger the WM 29 pistol event while we waited for the Gooch and we did trigger that event as well and also managed to get the pistol as well. The Gooch did manage to loot one of my friends twice in a row and it outran or escaped them both times before it finally decided to mug me and I did kill it and got the mask, so it took me about three hours to get my mask because it chose my friend twice over me, but it was reliably spawning. My friend, who missed both opportunities to get the mask the first day, did end up killing The Gooch and getting The Gooch mask the next day while we were hanging out outside my Arcade. Hope this information helps.

I gave no thought to this Gooch thing at all and only play in close or invite only sessions. I was in a closed session with 1 maybe 2 other people but I have no idea how long we were in there because I don't keep track of that crap. The Gooch showed up and proceeded to whipping my arse in the park where the gang battle takes place up the hill from the Freakshop location. It was quick, unexpected and now I wear his face. It has only happened to me once which is fine because why would I need it to happen again? As for the Diehard event... I can't get anywhere near that damn building without being swept up in that nonsense which is kind of unfortunate because my office is about 2 blocks away. It happens every single time I get close to it so now I just avoid the area.

WARNING to anyone trying to get this: If you get gooched and anybody other than you kills the gooch, your cash and snacks are gone and you do not get a present. Which makes a TON of sense for a mandatory 2 player event. Right, Rockstar?

I got the Gooch like 20 minutes into a lobby on ps5, but spent a couple hours a night for about 3 days to get it on pc. Die hard event was the same results. I literally watched your video on the event booted my ps5 and about 5 minutes later it spawned.

I got lucky: I play with a low MTU, and someone dropped into my lobby after I’ve been in the lobby for a couple hours. I was leaving my nightclub after doing a Yohan mission, when I heard a goofy laugh. Instead of turning to face him, I simply ran forward, and hopped the wall to the bottom of the stairs, forcing him to run down the stairs. I was able to blast him with three normal Mk2 shotgun shells.

We’ve been trying to get both Die hard and Gooch to spawn in for my friend. He lagged out of my session and as soon as he did so, the event spawned in for me and he couldn’t join back in. I think it was the same night the Gooch got me twice in the same session

I got the die hard one easily. I just stand on the building next to it until night time in my deluxo. The Gooch was terrible for me. Never saw it but only saw the notification that someone has been robbed. Only one person in a natural lobby full of chaos to get it.

It took me 4.5 hours to get the Weazel Plaza event to spawn, but the Gooch took me like 30 mins total.

Easiest way to fix this: Just don't give a special reward for killing him. Let it be a fun little thing that occasionally happens to someone and give them some money for it, but don't make this something anybody feels the need to go out of their way for getting. I dislike these kind of holiday event anyways, because even if the event itself doesn't suck, it's not great for anybody who can't make the time to play during the holidays or just doesn't want to. GTAO has gotten worse with this over time imo with how often there's an exclusive item you need to get during a certain (often times unspecified) timeframe. Like that tech demon mask that wasn't even properly explained on the news site. Had another game a while ago that just kept pushing these time limited events. Played along for way longer than I cared for, but once I fell off the treadmill, it was a bloody relief. But this also makes me weary when seeing the same stuff happen in other games.

Yeah, I followed some of stuff with that game. GT7 did some really stupid stuff to emulate realism. If anything those cars should all be available in the regular dealers and occasionally have a discount at the other shop.

I had the gooch spawn in invite only with a friend. It pulled me from my car and ran away, I shot it dead and my friend got the mask. Haven't seen it since. Never had the die hard event spawn and we play around 3-5 hours a night

I spent 12 hours in public sessions looking for him with no luck, then after making a invite only with a friend he spawned right at the 48 minute mark, then we switched to a new invite only, waited another 48 minutes and he spawned again. I think the key is to make a new session after he spawns, waiting for him again in same session doesn’t seem to work.

Crazy to me that some people had so many issues with this, I get ots just random, my friend got stabbed like 5 minutes into me getting on and I killed him, not realizing there was a reward. I then got jumped again, and killed him again w no one else nearby. My brother had a similar situation to you.

I was playing for about 5 hours last night, I saw the gooch spawn for someone else in the killfeed 2 times in that lobby right after watching a video about it, and then right as I left my garage… I hate it

I know the pain of trying to get the Gooch to appear. I started a lobby an hour before my one friend joined so then we just waited around on foot. Something like 20 minutes to half hour later the Gooch attacks my friend. So we wait for another hour then my other friend shows up. With in ten minutes of him joining the Gooch attacks him. Then two hours later I just gave up.

I got the Gooch random event literally my second GTA Online session after the update. Totally unexpected, not sure what was happening though it was a mugger at first then I realized lol. I'm pretty sure it's different for everyone as some players get it early and some don't.

The Gooch event always seems to pop up when I least expect it in fact the first time I encountered it I was lucky because as soon as he mugged me he got hit by a car and I was able to get him but the second time he mugged me while I was afk but as for the new weazel event I hated the fact that you have to be 20 minutes within that first session you join I literally had to wait until night time but when I got there the game didn't let me pick up the gun instead it disappeared and I was left with a drug deal random event, in my second try I tried to get it but rockstar was like nah and got an import export vehicle instead I think it overlapped with the weazel event so I just quit and now today I got it by just lobby hoping so all in all rockstar just loves to add stuff without testing them
