I wanted to point out that when yoshi interacts with the Ice Bully Boss, it uses unique dialogue for yoshi, refering to his baldness, implying that at some point they intended yoshi to be able to access the wario painting. I remember discovering this when using cheats on my ds.

As for Super Mario 64 ds, You and your friend were crazy for that challenge. I didn't think it would be possible for that to happen a run without Mario. I'm still watching the elbow challenge on the og game but man you are a mad lad when you want to be. I would never even think about using my elbows to play Super Mario 64 like that. I just hope you went to a get a massage after that. Geez, I can't even imagine the pain you felt doing that early on.
