I think the reason the Gonz is still so popular today is not just because of his skating style, but that you can actually see his quirkiness and his way of thinking in these vids and his skating. Gotta love the guy!

Thanks for posting this video! Really very entertaining. As other people have said before, I believe Mark Gonzales is a favorite skater due to the fact that he reminds people the simple fun that skateboarding can provide. Sure, doing back-side bigflips down 10 stairs is an admirable feat of determination and skill, but we shouldn't forget the lighthearted fun of riding around and doing simple maneuvers.
