Who are the musicians and what are the songs!! Watch the video to know the truth!!
Charlie Chaplin wrote, directed, produced, edited, starred in, and very few people know that he composed the music for most of his films. He was a perfectionist, and his financial independence enabled him to spend years on the development and production of a Movie.
Chaplin also received his only competitive Oscar for his composition work, as the Limelight theme won an Academy Award for Best Original Score in 1973 following the film's re-release.
Charlie Chaplin's popular tune from the movie Limelight inspired many world famous music composers including our own R D Burman, Salil Choudhury, Rajesh Roshan and many more, and they used it in their compositions. In this video I am talking about 7 of them. Please watch the view to know the rest.

I won't call these 'copying'. No way. As only one musical phrase was taken, then the composer took the liberty to give a spin to develop that phrase into a full song by adding 3 or 4 'tuks', composing prelude, interludes, orchestration etc etc..... Hear Salil da's Pallabini go or Itna na mujhse etc. Even for that matter, Salil da's masterly adaptation to compose Dil Tadap Tadap ke from Madhumati. The original Polish song was very slow and not much variation. But Salil da made this into a sparkling diamond by giving his own touch.. However, an excellent job done well, Ashok 👌🏻 Keep on doing your good work.

Plagiarism...oh sorry inspiration 😊😊... comes four ways: 1. Western/Foreign songs 2. Local, folk songs ( heard SDBurman did a lot of this) 3. An old song of Hindi cinema 4. Self plagiarism, which is keep using a hit song's tune as a formula. Please, also expose the last three types also. Regards!
