Nanamica is one of my favorite brands. I just love their use of performance fabrics in casual/outdoor clothes. I love TNF Purple Label also, but it's too bad it's so hard to get outside of Japan. I didn't know about the Colombia Black Label. Looks interesting as well. Thanks for shedding some light on them! Also, would a brand like Daiwa Pier fit the whole gorpcore category, or would their style belong to some other group?
@THECASUALco2 жыл бұрын
Daiwa Pier does fit, however its more fishing than hiking.

Being in Singapore, I can only look at this brands and can't see myself wearing them due to the constant hot weather here 😂

As a fellow Singaporean I agree … but I will still try my best to embrace the heat on special occasions 😂

Comfy outdoor Garments have had some amazing pieces recently. Jackets in particular and the most recent season pants are on point. I don't know CCP are gorpcore although the big boss fleece is certainly in that wheelhouse. But definitely worth a mention.

Off the back of the success Gymshark I have noticed that luxury brands are starting to get in on the act and in U.K we have seen Cole Buxton and Represent 247 focusing on luxury gym wear and I would been interested if a similar trend is kicking off in Japan! I know you uploaded a video on lounge wear so perhaps you have already answered this question?

Not necessarily from Japan. Perhaps we can do something soon.

Gorpcore bought a well-need injection of colour into my techwear black-on-black wardrobe in 2019. I'm still annoyed with my husband after he put my Snow Peak wool knit summer beret in the tumble dryer. p.s. You always look splendid, Reggie - But I particularly like your look today :)

much love reggie! Can you make more streetwear fashion branding and marketing videos? Eg - if you are a new brand from India and have vision to go global or do business in japan what should be the steps.

I think as someone who both works in fashion, and spends a decent chunk of time backpacking, your characterization of And Wander as “looks first, function second” isn’t exactly fair. For the most part, their core hiking pieces(windbreakers, 3-layer jackets, thermal joggers, etc…) are just as good as, if not better then, many of their top tier hiking/backpacking brand competitors. All while looking really fucking good.
