It builds up your own toxicity as a trade-off, but once you're Toxic from the dung pies, you're immune to the worse effects of Toxic.

You forgot to mention that before the money bundles damage got buffed it was the best thing to use to keep civilians down, the only way to get a civilan down and zip tied is to either scream at them several times or to melee them. Most melee weapons would one or two shot civilans were the money bundle, that at the time did like 2 damage, was perfect for keeping civilans down as it only need to be swung once or twice to keep a civy down.

Dragon Age: Inquisition has a giant spoon, a wheel of cheese as a shield, and a full ham on a stick. Not that they're crazy effective, but they ARE super satisfying, and work surprisingly well. The spoon, called The Boon of the Spoon, is found by completing a series of trivia questions at Skyhold. The cheese wheel, called the Wedge of Destiny, is simply found in Crestwood. And the ham, called The Jade Ham, is a reward for a war table operation in the Jaws of Hakkon DLC.

If you do the mission for the Bane in Co-Op, both players are given a Bane. Do this with one character as a Gunzerker, and you can Gunzerk 2 Banes at once. Annoying, but awesome. As. Hell.

Funniest thing on earth is to have a lobby of 4 gunzerkers, get 4 banes, dupe, now have 8 banes. Equip bane in 1 and 2 slot of all 4 gunzerkers, gunzerker simultaneously... 4 Sal's firing 8 banes all at once... The most glorious sound on earth... Its crashed the game probably 1 out of 4 times we've done it. But God is it worth it. We used to do Banoplite runs where we'd gear up with 4 gunzerkers, 2 banes each, and a hoplite shield on each character. Since hoplite gives you MASSIVE shield capacity at the cost of huge health reduction, and a speed reduction, it's already funny, but then throw in the fact that the hoplites effects are magnified for each one in a party... When you're running 4 of them, plus bane, (and we'd throw in the more multi-player centric class mods that massively boosted stats for everyone in the party) you're the slowest moving, most annoying sounding, but tankiest group of gunzerkers ever. Imagine money shot+inconceivable proccing on 8 banes at the same time... Just shred a quadrillion health having raid boss. It's too bad this was back in the pre twitch days. We did a lot of different oddly themed runs on that game using bizzare loadouts, certain weapons only, certain character/character combinations only.. Some were pretty damn entertaining. I'd bet at least 10 people would have watched. Lol.

The oar upgraded from the wooden sword is a direct reference to Miyamoto Musashi's wooden sword that was carved from a boat oar. Musashi is known as the greatest swordsman in Japan, undefeated in sword duels even though he dual wields 2 wooden swords. The wooden oar sword became legendary because of him and is referenced a lot in Japanese games as some kind of super weapon.

I've seen wooden swords appear in some other games as special grind-defeating weapons. Basically their core stats were bad but they doubled or tripled your xp, jp, ap, or whatever p gains you were trying to get for the game in question. Since you could make up for the temporarily lowered stats by...leveling...you could get just one or two levels ahead and then use the bokken to stay ahead of the curve for the rest of the game. It's maybe a little meta for the list, since in those cases it's not being useful As A Weapon, per se. More of a specialized tool with an acceptable tradeoff.

Here's is a fun fact. It was actually not uncommon for samurai and other sword wielding users in japan to use a bokken(wooden sword) as a wooden sword could break bones and was much cheaper and lighter to make compared to a steel sword.

@@lucasmillerthelewderofloli9327 The katana would have to be incredibly poorly made to be broken by a bokken. Even a skilled samurai would have difficult doing that. Musashi did shape an oar paddle into a bokken and beat the fire out of a samurai that challenged him and won while that samurai had a katana, but I don't think he actually broke that samurai's blade. Most records of that happening were blade to blade and the higher quality blade won, or when samurai fought Mongols that use axes and maces, which either dulled, or shattered katanas.

Groovitron from Ratchet and Clank. Mostly it’s there to make enemies get down to those funky beats in a variety of amusing ways. Side effect is the rhythm has certainly got them and even tanks are defenceless as you smash them to bits.

The gun falls under awesome but impractical. You can only do it outside, once per day, and it has quite a buildup before it actually fires, during which time your opponent has likely moved and/or been alerted to your presence.

In Tales of Symphonia, there's a town that you can visit that's been destroyed but you can pour money into it to fix the town back up and even better than it was before. Fully upgrading this town provides a unique shop that sells joke weapons for the entire group you play as, and most of those weapons can be used all the way to the end of the game. I'm looking at you, Pow Hammer DX for Presea. You're awesome.

It wasn't powerful at all. It's one good quality was that it had 5 augment slots. Giving it a bunch of sharpening augments would make it decent but not the best or a better way to use it was giving it a bunch of mana augments so you could just go nuts as a magic user.

Very surprised not to see the foam "hand" gun from Dead Space 2 on this list. It was a reward for beating the game on its hardest difficulty, and it was fucking hilarious. When the weapon was equipped, Isaac (the protagonist) dons a red and white foam hand forming a gun. When you fire the gun, it immediately tears all the limbs off whatever you're shooting at, and Isaac makes very audible "Pew pew" or "bang bang bang" sounds with every trigger pull. Do a search for it, if you haven't seen it. It's worth seeing.

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin also has a similar weapon, a cream pie that you throw right in your opponent's face. What makes it useful is that it's one of the few items in the game that does "dark" damage. This is especially helpful when fighting against the "Whip's Memory", a doppelganger of previous protagonist, Richter Belmont, who is weak against Dark. It just feels weird that the best weapon against one of the bosses is a pie that you throw right in their face.
