47 years old, mortgage, family, and I'm still playing the fucking air guitar to this album. Music can always make us feel young again.

For some reason I always forget what a masterpiece this album is until I put it on and can't stop listening. I know reznor lays the despair and anguish on thick but this album sounds so damn desperate. Especially considering what he was going through at the time

I don't agree it sounds desperate at all. To me it's all about the struggle, strength and hardly fought self-accomplishment.

@@nikolabari68 depends on your definition of 'desperate' - as in 'desperately fighting'. Doesn't always get used in the context of 'can't get laid so simps for crap women' or 'behaves insecurely' lol

I used to put this on and go to sleep listening to this album. Hearing it again after so many years, wakes up that adolescent child I was back then. Feels like a life time ago. This is a weird feeling.

OMG. I have C-PTSD. That piece is a masterpiece. Describes simultaneously all the pure rage and the extreme fragility, the complexity of chaos and the fight for life and justice. That fucking piano kills my heart each time.

25 years of listening to this and I still love it. I think the Fragile is one of the best albums I've ever heard. I'm 42 now and so much has changed when I first bought and listened to this album at 17 years old.... this is probably one of my favorite songs. It's powerful and the way it builds is epic. A lot of times in the gym I literally have this song on loop just continue to play it.
