Yesterday, I went to the Sun Theater in Yarraville to watch Lawrence of Arabia. I was wearing Crystal Saffron, Ben was wearing Almaz. The movie was 4 hours long, it smelled divine 😂!

Such great chemistry between you two, terrific line exploration. I currently own Homme, Homme 2 and Lamar. Want to add Homme 3 and definitely need to try Aican. Passionfruit or Lilikoi in Hawaaii is an almost certain love for me.👍👍👍

Great Kajal line-up. I have not smelled anything from this House but am now convinced to check them out. I don’t have more than one fruity fragrance in my collection and now o am very curious about Aican! A few others also caught my attention- like the leathery one or the tobacco fragrance

Love this house! I discovered it late 2020, early 21. The summer of 2021 was owned by Lamar and Mango Skin by Vilhelm. Fast forward, I got a sample of III and IV in December 23. This summer has been owned by Kajal III and the Fall will be Homme I and IV. I will sample Aican when possible. I don't see it in the US Midwest yet. Keep up the great work guys! Cheers! 🎉🎉🎉😊

Ah Kajal. Great house. Love Masa and Lamar! I was a bit on the fence about Dahab though. Simply because the passionfruit is so overpowering for me. I like the taste and the smell of the fruit very much. But in fragrances it pushes everything else to the side (on my skin). I can't smell anything else. This is why I also have some issues with Tommy Iommi. Such a shame. So I would love to test Aican but a bit apprehensive. Hopefully it reacts differently on my skin. And Fiddah...how did I miss this one? I'm definitely going to sample this. Thank you for the great video!

Allright, you got me. A 5 ml sample Äican is on its way 😉. I don’t have a lot of experience with Kajal. I own Sawlaj, which is a solid spicy, woody leathery fall and winter pick that seems to be under appreciated. I think it is hard to gain traction for any brand in this day and age I guess. Thanks for a spotlight on them.

You guys make such a great pair! I probably need to give this brand is fairer chance. My first encounter was Kajal III which to me was honestly nothing more than a Tygar DNA (which I never liked, truthfully), maybe even harsher on the bitter citrus. Then it was Kajal IV, which that date note completely ruined (I don't do well with it, I get major sweaty vibes from it). Then someone got me having a sniff at the original Kajal Homme which I found quite adequate, good in fact, but very "blue" vibes from a lot of designer fragrances. Fiddah sounds closest to my vibe, I'll get a decant and see.

As you've pointed out the Homme's are classic 'designer into niche' fragrance's. They're targeted more to the new recruit; whereas from past conversations with you, I feel that you're more of a Veteran. I would recommend that you test anything from the Fiddah Collection: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hmmXf4mtatGZqtk (including Fiddah) And both Lamar and Äican - these will impress you Once you do get the chance to test, will be keen to hear your thoughts on them. I like realistic (so not just sweet) fruit notes, like pineapple, raspberry and cherry, but more often than not, I am disappointed that they don't last beyond the opening.

Yes, it's true that most 'fruity' fragrance come bursting out of the gate and then fold back. I found that Äican does the burst but for me the passionfruit lingers deep in the drydown (not to the point as per the opening but definitely present) Another fruit burst and then linger is Humbolt by Fueguia. I am posting hoping I can get a little direction. I have collectors OCD and I cannot just from Brand to Brand, until I have collected all I needed from that brand. That being said, as a brand where would you go next? Amouage, Boadicea, Sospiro or Tom Ford? EDIT: I will collect them all eventually.

The big question that I'm asking "are you new to Niche perfumery?" If yes, then I would start with something totally different. I would actually steer you over to the Perris Monte Carlo's. This will help you 'muscle up' on understanding notes and better targeting what is it that you really love. My collection consists of Carolina Herrera, Polo, Lacoste, Michael Malul and Paco Rabanne. Once I smelled Hypnotizing fire I liked it, but I love Royal Earth by The Harmonist. I now have 3 of their fragrances, and have 4 or 5 to go. Then I will finish up my Argos collection. This is the extent of my Niche collection, the rest was listed above.

The name KAJAL is pronounced wrongly 😢 The root of this word originates from India. Pronounce it as KAA- JAL. It means Muscara Surma, Eyeliner, Kohl, Decoration for womens eyes. Muslim men also wear it under their eyes.
