I appreciate your time to make these videos for us. I can't say much about working in a firm with lots of people bcuz there is only 2 of us but I can totally vouche for the saying hello/ good morning & letting ppl know you leave... Even if you are having a stressful day/evening, I found that it helps set the tone while boosting a more positive outlook on the day since you are forced to think about the smile on your face instead of the negativity.

Tip: Hard boiled eggs don’t give off that sulfuric smell so long as you don’t over boil them. The best way to avoid over boiling eggs is to place them in a pot with water, bring the water to a boil, and to then remove from heat and cover for 10 minutes. Afterwards, moving the eggs to ice water will stop them from cooking any further, and then you’ll end up with hard boiled eggs that won’t smell. Besides that, great tips throughout the video!

will choose eating in blizzard over bland food lol & I learned the hard way that my food is too tempting for coworkers to not help themselves to; so I use my own thermal container.

I guess you’ve had your lunch eaten out of the office fridge too? I was SHOCKED that someone would do that. Luckily, it only happened to me once, but that once is all it took for me to add it into this video, lol. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate you!

I agree with most of what you said. But I did work for an attorney who was very toxic, and would gaslight staff regularly because he refused to admit when he made mistakes. When I would tell him I was leaving, I noticed a pattern of him wanting me to get a letter out or ask me a question that was not urgent or an emergent situation after close of business. So I would say, be cautious with saying goodbye because sometimes you can get trapped at work if you are working for a difficult attorney.

Hi! Thanks for these! Now I know you’re just the messenger- but I’ve always had issues with the “don’t eat stinky food” point in these talks. I get it practically, but I’m a POC and our foods are spicy and aromatic (and taste great of course). There is *no* way I’m giving up my culture because of office etiquette. I honestly see this as a DEI issue lol. If even eating boiled egg is an issue 😂 then how are people from other backgrounds supposed to *eat*? Are we really expecting everyone to just eat dry mayo sandwiches everyday?😂 If we’re holding this as the standard, then we’re going to have to provide cafeteria seating that separates people etc. as standard as well

That's the kind of me me me attitude that would probably say that it's okay If a coworker lights one up on their break in their car and comes back reeking of weed or a coworker that has a love affair with perfumes, it should all be tolerated so that it doesn't come across as racism...totally twisting diversity to approve of self centered behaviors. That kind of logic made our HR not approach a person that actually smelled bad, as a result others suffered for over a year. You can have that attitude all you want but don't act surprised if people aren't on board with it for so many common sense reasons that have nothing to do with race.

Hi Where are you based?

Where am I based? As in, where do I live, work, or both? I live in Oklahoma in the United States. I work all over the country. Did I answer your question? Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate you!

@@monnasharma1 She said she lives in Oklahoma. Any more details than that are a bad idea for safety reasons. You don’t put your private information on the internet.

I was really disappointed at the level of knowledge in this video. I thought this would be law firm specific. valuable information. Just not quite in the way it was promoted. I would have expected you to start on something like number 4 and I felt like 5 had the same message
