My mother kicked me out when I was 19. I didn’t do drugs, had problems with the law or got pregnant. She just got tired of me. Now 15 years later I have two daughters on my own and one thing I can tell for sure: I will never let them be homeless. No matter what happens and how old they are. Watching this breaks my heart.

I was 17 years old, and then they moved away to another city and bought a two bedroom house, which was smaller and they let my older sister live with them who is 11 years older than I am. I got pregnant at 16, they tried to make me get an abortion, so I ran away until I was six months pregnant, they made me come back home, and forced me to put my baby up for adoption at birth. I had nothing but sadness and they threw me out. I slept on the beach for a couple of weeks until I ran into an old friend that needed a nanny for her son. so I ended up having a roof over my head without the help of my family. My brothers wouldn’t help me, it really sucked at what my family did to me. I was the youngest out of five and was never treated right. It was like I was a burden on them and I was a good kid, very good in school. Didn’t break the law or anything either. But God looks out for us in someways.

I managed to keep my situation a secret from all of my coworkers and eventually saved up enough money to drop a down payment on my apartment. While being homeless I had every type of "holier than thou" person assume that I was out there due to drugs or alcohol but I was sober the whole time!! @@Hello-iz9hl I saved up a little more than 2,000 because the area in which I live is kind of expensive and I had a ton of bills (even while being homeless), plus it gets kind of expensive when all of my food has to be either cooked by the fire or is fast food. I was only making 13.00 per hour at the time so much of my money was going to gas so that I could get to work or the occasional stay at an RV park that allowed tent camping. The only down side was that they would only let me stay there 1 week at a time. So every other week I was setting up my tent wherever I could. Christmas Eve several years ago, an ELDER was abandoned a block from my house. Her party she was traveling with just drove off without her. She was about 75. She had no coat and was sleeping on the ground next to a cafe. I woke her up and about that time the cops showed up. This was in Texas…. Nasty ass state! I screamed at them while putting a warm coat on this beautiful woman. I refused to let them take her. I suggested alternatives that weren’t cops…… they contacted a woman’s shelter in my town…. A good one….. and I waited until they came. The cops and the cafe owner weren’t interested in knowing that she was just abandoned….. I hate this country.

There was this sweet old man who would come into the store a lot that I used to work out, he was homeless and for winter would come in just to warm up. My manager drove him off, but when I started to know the times he'd come in I would buy him some chips and a drink. You never know what someone is going through, a little kindness can really go a long way❤

When I managed a restaurant we had this old homeless man with this long white beard and when he had the money he’d tip my servers, never asked for free food and was overall kind so I nicknamed him Father Time, when he’d come in i’d give him a waffle or whatever free. He was loved by the community and they even had a fb page for him and someone caught me running out the store one day when he was walking down the street to wish him a happy birthday and posted it so one of my employees showed me. I don’t know what happened to him but I can only hope he’s still met with love from the community!

@@hotspot171 From my experience, whatever trauma or challenges you have to face in life, it's better to face them alone. But that's not to say if you have genuine help you would reject it. Rather, it's more saying that being with people who pretends to show you kindness but in truth have a negative intentions towards you. I was in an toxic relationship and that manipulated me into thinking he would save me but at the end it was all a lie. At the end, I did my best to heal, to move on all on my own. I suffer the pain on my own, till now nobody really knows the pain I went through but at least now I got much wiser because of the pain. Hope this explains it. 🙏🏻

I love how you kept your dog. It had to mean some sacrifice from you in order to care for it. So many people who get pets abandon them for the least little reason. That shows the person you are. I truly pray you reach your goals and remain safe while doing so.
@lawyerreactsnotthemoon8510 ай бұрын
I feel it's selfish. The dog deserves better, and to have a home, and food. But there's also many dogs that are homeless or get put down. So it can be tough. I've been homeless and can't imagine keeping a dog in that poor state tho. It's unfair, They honestly do deserve to have better in my opinion. Even if you send them to a Foster home Temporarily to ensure they stay safe, and well taken care of, until the owner gets back on their feet. The dog did nothing to deserve being in a bad situation. But for some owners it's also very hard for them to part with their dog due to selfish reasons, or they may also want 'protection, or to not be alone.' Which I completely understand. as it's tough to be completely alone while homeless. But it's still does just feel unfair to me for the dog. But I'm not judging people who keep their pets while living in a car, I do think it's very dangerous and unfair. -Tho I know many who have been in the same tough situation like that, And the main reason is it actually also Only makes it Harder to 'Keep and Find a job*, Which is another huge reason why I would warn against it. Because they can't leave their pet in a hot car all alone, so Basically have to be with it 24/7‼️which also keeps them homeless and stuck in that loop/cycle 😢 since they can't find a job. So it's worse for both The pet, And the owner in the long run. They may have to separate temporarily in order for the owner to get a job, -And become Financially stable, and THEN Reunite. As difficult as that may be, it's better for Both in the long run if they want to live a happy Long life together. Sometimes the owner has to step up and do the difficult thing to be responsible, if they truly loved and cared for their pet. Then they would want the best/ what better for them. A little time apart would feel like nothing once the owner has their feet on the ground, and they can be together again. I say this as someone who has been through this myself as heartbreaking as it is,💔 and who has seen this situation happen and play out for many people, and their pets Died in vain. because they wouldn't be responsible step up and do right by them. If they Love their pets they want what's better for them. And to prioritize Their safety and happiness, that's what being a good responsible owner would do. Not being selfish, and keep both of eachother even longer in that tough difficult situation far longer then needs to be.
