The anger one is so true. You HAVE to let it out. You will never continue to move on if you keep it bottled up. That’s why so many people go into the gym. A breakup is honestly something a lot of people should go through. It’s part of development and helps you next time you enter into a relationship. Only AFTER you have truly moved on. If you haven’t moved on, don’t get into something new, more often than not you end up becoming the one that hurts the person.

I used to love someone so much, but unfortunately they passed away. I’m 21 years old now and this was 6 years ago. So I was around 15 as we were childhood friends who promised to become lovers when we grew up, but it didn’t happen. Sometimes I would get the random flashbacks of us. I don’t know if I consider it a breakup or not, but out of all the relationships I’ve had after that, nothing can compare to how she treated me, despite how young I was, it felt different with how many years I’ve known her. For me, level 3 and 5 swapped places and things were more emotional throughout 1-5 because it was my first breakup. Our relationship seemed almost perfect, but her mental health was in a bad spot from things in her personal life, so she called it off. This was last year in June, and since then we've stayed friends and became best friends in October. I've accepted, she moved on, and we believe things will keep getting better from here. Sorry if this story seems unnecessary to share, but I share this because not all ex's cut ties completely after a breakup, the bond can still repair without romance involved. Last week my gf of six months dumped me in the school parking lot without explaining why much or seeming very sorry about it. This was after a couple weeks of one word replies and excusing herself from hanging out, so I had assumed something was wrong for a while and had been asking her all the time what I could do to help. Looking back, I think it's pretty obvious that she just lost feelings, simple as that. What sucks is I never did, and now I'm in a confused, empty, and overwhelmingly lonely state of not knowing what to do with myself. She doesn't text me anymore unless I reach out, and she's made it very clear she just wants me to leave her alone. I can't bring myself to talk to her in person anymore because it feels so awkward. I avoid her at school and sometimes, though I feel ashamed of doing so, when I happen to see her from a distance I can't help but watch and see what she's up to. I happened upon seeing her today talking to some guy I had never seen before while I was sitting in my car and for some reason it was like I lost her all over again. I broke down then and there and just blasted music while speeding and drifting through town until I had blown off enough steam to stop crying and I finally went home before locking myself in my room for the day and becoming entirely overcome with fond memories of stuff we used to do, and will never do again. It was crushing. Missing someone has never hit this hard before. I feel like a complete and total loser for not being over her while she seems to not even care, and I honestly feel embarrassed that I was so childishly naive to not pick up on her losing feelings for me. I feel like she must be going through some stuff, and so my brain's natural instinct is to help her out in some way, but then I remember that it's not my place anymore and that she doesn't want my help. It sucks. Really, really bad. I fucking hate the fact that she's pushing me away, and I hate it even more to think that she doesn't seem to feel sorry about it. She's genuinely one of the best people I know, and no, that's not me being delusional or glazing her, I actually know that it's true and a lot of people agree with me on that, which is why it's so confusing to me why she would just up and leave me without explaining why other than "I'm just not in a good headspace right now." Like, what is even that? Are you okay? What's going on? The last thing she said to me was a "catch you later" before getting in her car and driving off. I have been a mess of misplaced emotions for days now. It's like having a rug pulled out from under me. She had instilled in me such a strong sense of confidence, of a surety that she would be there for me no matter what that I never even prepared myself for what it would be like without her. Suddenly she's just gone, and I have nothing to lean on. One day she's your everything, and the next she's expecting you to get over her without a hitch, as if that's possible. You're left with all the letters and gifts she gave you, stuffing her things into the back of your closet, changing your phone wallpaper, taking the hearts off her contact name... You feel pathetic for not being brave enough to even talk to her in person, but you're just so damn scared. You text her best friend hoping to get some answers as to why you got dumped but she just tells you the same stuff your ex did, "she's not in a good headspace right now", "she doesn't want to drag you down", and "she's just not ready for a relationship". Everything that you worked so hard to build is treated like garbage. She pretends like you were never even a thing. She acts like she doesn't know you. And you do the exact same thing, and it feels so wrong. She's not here anymore, and she's never coming back, no matter how much you continue to love her.
