Your birds are so beautiful, I do not know the name of the mutations but you are lucky. You have the most beautiful colors. Is there only one agapornis and all the others are fischeris ?

Thanks for watching and your comment. Agapornis is the generic term for lovebirds as I understand it. Phoenix (green with red bandanna and rosy bib/chest) is a standard peach face. Lucky, Mango, Red and Peachy are all Fischer's, aka eye-ring lovebirds. I invite you to watch some other videos on the channel and meet the rest of the flock, 3 peach faced and 8 fischer's with many different coloring.

This is an often asked question of pet parrot owners. Actually mine do bite at times. They don't do so intentionally unless frightened, rather they are very tame and like to fly onto me and then begin preening me on the arm or neck, or nibble on my ear lobe. When they do they can be gentle but can also dig a bit too much with the sharp beak and so it becomes more of bite. When they do the best approach is to simply and immediately distract them (you must stop them). I usually do this by using a high pitched screeching sound or call saying "eeeeecccchhhh", much as if they might do when they are frightened. Often I will use my hand and gently nudge them away from where they are. The bites can sting quite w bit when they do it, but the worst is if they break the skin it takes some days to heal and sometimes leaves a spot.
