This is a GREAT reminder why we need to regularly shop our own stashes and cycle through everything we own. Something sitting in the back of the drawer because it didn't work last spring when we bought it or even two years ago may just work perfectly this spring.

When those Elf Camo liquid blushes came out, I tried using it when I was in a hurry to get to an appointment. I put 2 dots of Cool Berry on my right cheek and started blending it out. Before I knew it, that whole side of my face was bright reddish-pink! Omg! I was already running late! I didn’t have time to wipe everything off and reapply my foundation, etc. Using a combination of dabbing some of it off with a makeup wipe plus blending a little foundation over top, I dulled it down a bit. The brighter and darker shades of that blush are super pigmented! Since then, I apply a dot to the back of my hand and pick some of it up on a brush. I should have known better than to use a brand new product when I was in a rush! 🙃

Re: tower 28 mascara: you are not the only one with packaging issues. I've heard lots of folks who initially loved this mascara start complaining of packaging issues as well as it drying out super fast (like 2-3 weeks!) There could certainly be a correlation between the two. Tower 28 is definitely having QC issues with the mascara. So disappointing! Hope they fix it! ❤❤❤

Great reminder video, Stephanie! ❤ Been there, done that with many products! Love 'em then hate 'em, then "hey, this isn't as bad as I remember!! (Or the other way around). I just checked my Tower 28 mascara. It's my 2nd tube. I even looked up in the lid. No issue. 🤷🏼I guess I'm very cynical about under eye powder. I've not tried one yet that doesn't make my undereye area look horribly dry. Having said that, I've not tried them all but that's because of if my experience.

Stef! Also a good soft blurring undereye powder is the Too Faced one in the gold heart packaging. Risa did a video about 3 or 4 months ago where she tested the Too Faced, Kosas and another that I can't remember, and the Too Faced won the prize! So seeing how much Risa loved it, I bought it and I love it too! I can't wait until you review the Hourglass Luminous Foundation!!! 😘😘😘

I'll back you on Huda foundation. Shade range is difficult (I have 3 shades) and it won't last. You're intriguing me w/the primer though. I use powder foundation all the time. That's a shame about the T28. I've got one in my draw unopened as I've got others to go through, I hope that doesn't happen to me. I'm still on the hunt for a tubing I like (and reading comments, there's the same issue w/ELF which is one on my try list. Sigh).

Great video! Are you growing your bangs out?
@StephanieMarie9 күн бұрын
I think I'm growing them out to curtain bangs, so I can push them aside easier. They're hard to deal with on camera because if I clip them back, they want to stay that way, so I have to completely redo my hair. They also look longer on camera and in person, which is so odd!

If the Kosas works so well under your eyes, why do you add another powder on top?
@StephanieMarie5 күн бұрын
Because for me, as I said in the video, it’s not as smoothing on texture or as brightening as my regular under eye powder, Pat McGrath. But it is a very sheer, non-powder powder. But there’s something about adding it under Huda that allows me to use Huda under my eyes whereas I couldn’t before bc it looked too dry. Idk why, it just works! It was a hack I was testing, thinking it wouldn’t work. But then it did.

I have been watching a TON for videos this morning trying to decide between Not too Much and the new She's Seductive and I want to warn you that not all of his blushes are the same - the new ones seem to be very pigmented and make it more difficult to get a nice, even, moderate application. I'm still torn between the two. :) If you do pick up She's Seductive, would you do a comparison?

The Hourglass lid primer is awful and drying on my lids. It’s not just you. I love the UD primer and also Mac paint pots in a light matte color before I put on powder eyeshadow . The Tower 28 is my HG mascara. I’m on my 5th tube of it, and never had a problem with the tube.

I own that red light therapy mask, and I like it, but I have disagree with the description that it hovers over one’s face: not necessarily, if your face isn’t as small as Stephanie’s (it’s not my conclusion, she mentioned more than once before this fact about her face). This mask leaves marks on my nose since it’s a little smaller than I’d like it to be. I will still use it, and do not argue against buying it. Just wanted to warn since it’s an expensive purchase, and this is something to be on a lookout if you buy it.

Thanks for your comment! I'm curious about it - does the entire mask rest on your face, just the eye shield, or the area below the eye shield also rests on the bridge of your nose? Thank you!

Wish that mask went up higher on the under eyes. That’s my worst area
@StephanieMarie9 күн бұрын
I get that and think a great upgrade would be for the brand to make the built-in eye shield have a removable cover that would still allow it to rest on the face but give you the option to have eye treatment. (off topic: I had to edit my comment because I was trying to recall what facial mask I mentioned in this video and then I realized you were referring to the LED mask! 🤪)

Are powder foundations good for ahem, old skin? That mascara is not cheap. They really need to improve the packaging. Have you complained to the company?I just watched a video by Gemma where she said she you used something you suggested and she didn't really like but now she does. 😂

2025 is no new brushes year (which I've broken already) and you pull out the rephr LC collection and a giant PT brush that I don't have but sort of want 'cos it looks so fluffy and floofy though I know you're tiny compared to me and it won't have the same floof. But I want the floof.

Do you hear yourself? You are advocating buying a mascara and waiting four to six weeks for it to work! Are you out of your mind? Good products work on the first day and every day afterwards. Please stop this foolishness.

No need for that type of comment. It's makeup and different tech can help. You aren't required to purchase or even watch. Have a good day!😅

First, it's a known thing for wet mascaras to perform better a couple of weeks after they're first opened. This isn't new information. Second, I discovered I liked the mascara I previously hated after a bit more time. It's not really that deep. I'm not telling anyone to rush out and buy this drugstore mascara if they don't want to. No one is ever forcing you to buy anything. There are tons of other good ones I enjoy and have shared on this channel if you don't want to buy this one. Third, this is _my channel_ where I share my good AND bad experiences and where I discouraged you from buying a high end mascara in the same video. Out of my mind? Hardly.
@taranullius92219 күн бұрын
Mascaras work differently at different times. There isn't one that always stays exactly the same. Some of us need to narrow down and use specific mascaras due to age or health. Stephanie appears to have sensitive eyes, I can barely wear mascara. I need tubing. That means I'm limited and I have numerous in rotation because...ready...they change formula over time and some are bad at the start or some are good at the start. But you go ahead and spend $500 until you find that unicorn

Just try and imagine the opposite. Men don’t refer to other men as “boys”. Ever. When do women ever get to be seen as grown up? Calling someone who is an adult a girl or girly (which is a word U Tube makeup artists often use) is so 1950.
