Hey there, i love your channel and have been watching many of your machine videos! Please help: How can I hear a midi note in the piano roll (using machine software) when I click with my mouse? Already spent 2 hours trying to figure this basic stuff out but no success yet! :)
@LowHeatBeats2 жыл бұрын
If you're in keyboard mode it always previews the note when you click on it. If not, there's a speaker symbol above the piano roll, that needs to be enabled. Thanks for watching the videos!
@WavebeatsMusic2 жыл бұрын
@@LowHeatBeats Hey friend. Thank you for the quick reply. that's super strange. I have Komplete Kontrol Mk2 88-keys. Using Maschine 2.15.2 software. I have the piano roll open. The speaker icon is enabled and I am in keyboard mode on my controller but still no sound when I click on notes in the piano roll. what can I possibly be doing wrong? I would really appreciate your help on this. I have been using logic pro for over 15 years and know a lot about it, but am trying to create new workflows in maschine. This seems so basic so that's why I am intrigued!

I gotta one old school trick from Music Generation on Playstation 1 and 2 here it is, record one long note of sound with whatever modulation you want from start to finish then put recorded sound in to sampler and play with start sample on touch strip, you will have unevelivable sequence with shorter notes, maybe sequence will be simple but playing with start sample will make it special.
@LowHeatBeats3 жыл бұрын
Dope trick, let me check if we can automate sample start with Maschine as well.

the first technique only works on loops? thanks
@LowHeatBeats Жыл бұрын
Well, it would work for anything loaded into the Audio device. But if it's not a loop, how is it going to play in sync with all the other parts in your project?

first, thanks for the quick response, man. very cool! I'll try again later. I could not get this to work for me (anything using the audio mod).@@LowHeatBeats

Hey mate, great videos and dope beats by the way. Hey do you know any easy way to work out what key the expansion kits for Maschine are in? I’m getting inspired by the chords and bass licks then start playing keys with it but don’t always know what key the preset patterns are in!! Is it written on the screen somewhere??
@LowHeatBeats3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! If it’s not in the file name I do it by ear by playing notes on a piano preset or a sine wave and listen which notes sound good with the sample. May not be very easy but training your ears is very important.
@sunrise58033 жыл бұрын
@@LowHeatBeats thanks man. Yeah I’m learning keys and piano so I guess it’s a great way to learn as well as pick up studio skills on Maschine. It’s an amazing toy. I’m a singer so it’s super helpful when you don’t have a band at your disposal 24/7. I’ll finish my tracks then ask mates to add guitar parts. Yew!
@MrClarkio2 жыл бұрын
@@sunrise5803 you might find the circle of fifths useful. When you're playing along if you can find the sharp (#) or flat (b) notes which sound right (or the black keys if using piano keyboard) then it can help you hone in on what the key is. It's the way sight readers do it, they look at the key signature for sharps or flats and know from that what the key is. For example if I knew the only good black key is F# then I know I'm in G major or E minor. A piano keyboard does help to make more sense of this than pads, even a little 25 key mini keyboard will help.

How do you do you load the sound in audio module on mk3 mikro
@LowHeatBeats2 жыл бұрын
Just load the Audio module in place of the Sampler and any sample that was loaded in the Sampler will be transferred to the Audio module. I don't know if its possible with the Micro controller, if not you will have to do it with the mouse.
