They have always recruited great and now they will have the opportunity to bring even better players to build a program. I just spent the last hour or so watching highlights of the CWS from this summer and as a MSU fan I can't help but still get goosebumps. A fantastic performance all around. Dominate at times. Controlled games at times. Clutch hitting when needed. Pitching was amazing most of the time. And NO ERRORS the entire CWS. THAT is freaking impressive.

the most noticeable thing for me during the cws was the huge gap in quality in umpires from college and pro ball. MLB umps miss calls from time to time but it seems like every college game there are 4-5 pretty egregious misses. Really interesting.

It’s the NCAA. I watched almost every Miss State game this year, and I can tell you the umps gets worse in the CWS. It happens every year. During conference play there are bad calls every now and then, but once the NCAA tournament starts it’s like they only let you ump if you’re incompetent.
