It grows like crazy in my back yard in Jamaica. last year my hair was EXTREMELY damaged from over relaxing. by instinct i pick one leaf, blended it, AND JUST APPLIED IT TO MY DRY HAIR ....... it has been my only deep con. routine since. .... i apply it to my dry hair for one hour before every wash, which is ONCE EVERY WEEK. it gives an AMAZING SLIP, super shine, super moister.

thanks sharing this journey .... I tried to go natural for all of 5 minutes and I also could not deal with the crazy DRYNESS!!! So back to the creamy crack I went.... I will say that your relaxer videos have really helped me to maintain healthy hair and it has really really started to grow so again thank you so much for sharing!!! You do look very pretty with your coils and curls!!

You're on a great hair growth journey. The results will be amazing four years from now, like you've never seen. Glad I found your channel. We big chopped at the same so I'll be closely watching your progress. You were born with a head of beautiful thick hair. I never knew I didn't need a relaxer until now. Had one since childhood. I'm enjoying my natural good hair.

I’m mad that it took me hella long to realize the greatness of Aloe Vera. I was natural for exactly 3 years. My biggest problem was extremely dry, brittle ends. I gave my hair plenty of TLC & it would grow but I constantly had to cut it because of the dryness. Yet, I would still end up with dry ends right after a fresh cut. Plus the excessive shedding due to dryness was unbearable. I recently realized I had multiple hair porosities & needed to correct the PH of the bottom half of my hair. I then discovered that Aloe Vera corrects & normalize PH levels. I went ahead & relaxed cuz I felt that I lost 3 yrs of length retention, thickness& health. I plan to transition (no more b/c for me) then start a new natural journey with AV. Good luck on yours 👍🏾

Sounds like you have high porosity hair. The aloe vera closes your cuticle and seals in the mositure. Try Shea Mositure's high porosity line too. I love the conditioner!

I began transitioning to natural hair in November and I have been struggling with moisture too. I have literally tried everything and nothing has really worked. I'm definitely going to try Aloe Vera!

This. I went back to using relaxers after years of struggling with dry, breaking, natural hair (even after using aloe juice as a leave in) but using aloe gel with a mix of oils has produced a ton of growth in a short amount of time. It’s almost scary lol.

Missconstrued86 I’m late seeing this. I agree. When I was relaxed, it was a Dominican lady that put me on, her hair was so long. But I wasn’t consistent, but now, I don’t play!

Relaxers have changed my natural hair texture so much. I'm going natural, gonna do a chop soon. Is there anyway I can get my texture back. The curl is drastically different from before the relaxer.

Girllllllllll I don't even know. I can't tell you for sure. You'd just have to see and find out. I've been relaxed since I was 6 years old and when I went natural I made sure not to expect my 6 year old texture lol... But I like what I'm getting so far. Your curl pattern will also improve when you find the perfect regimen for it.

ESSNTL oh I'm not expecting it to be the same from when I was a kid but is soooooo different. I had the same texture and pattern before relaxers and now it's very different. The back of my hair has really loose curls, the middle is a bit tighter and the top is really tight which is so weird. But when I cut the relaxer parts off I hope with a good regimen I can get better results and a more unified hair pattern. Good luck to me😣

Hang in there! One day your hair will get to waist length and you can do a silk press but still wash your hair to get it curly again. Being natural gives you more versatility. You won't regret persisting on this natural journey.Relaxed hair is just straight. Just keep wearing wigs if you like long hair.

Moisturizers I use for my natural hair is water, water will be your best friend and to seal your hair with an oil. The LOC method and deep conditioning will create that moisture protection for you. Believe it or not less is more you don't want to put a bunch of products in your hair it creates a buildup.

This looks good! I’m struggling with my own texture issues... I went to someone for a relaxer and they didn’t get all my new growth, so my joint is like natural, relaxed, then natural again. I have to struggle through this transition! The tangle is real! Do you plan to relax again?

You shouldn't of cut it yourself as you cut wrong angles which would of given you dry blunt ends. In addition you are growing it but it still needs regular trims to help get it in good condition and grow faster otherwise the damage will just go up the hair shaft hence you finding it dry. 7mths on it should be longer than it is albeit you have curls it should be looking fuller/bigger im volume due to its afro.
