It was game breaking as it can still be easily countered on offense and on defense, it’s an actual menace. The damage it dealt was way to god damn high

Executioner on release was broken. A bug gave him a hidden “stun” gimmick that gave him the ability to reset the attack animation for a lot of troops, delaying their attacks sometimes even better than zap.

I remember the royal ghost apparently being incredibly broken at launch, i think I was still pretty new to the game at that point so I only got it later after it was nerfed, but i remember some streamers not wanting to play the game because of it

Goblin Drill on release was very strong too, aswell as 4 skeleton troops for 1 elixir, reworked fire spirit, reworked witch and executioner, Zap in 2016, pre tower damage nerf earthquake, 6 elexier royal guards, longer hit range PEKKA, 1min lifetime bombtower, reworked bomber, ram rider 100% slow, ice spirit 2sec freeze, lvl 16 mirror, reworked E-Giant

The royal recruits are getting a evolution soon, they have more health and damage but their special ability is when their shield is removed they can charge and deal about 259 damage at tournament level, that’s insanely Op because before they couldn’t kill a single goblin but now, they can one shot goblins, princess, and even mini Hoggs.

When I was younger the first strat I used was X-Bow and I got to like 3000 trophies. Things started countering it and nerfs happened so I ended up getting better by needing different strats. I’ve rarely used most of the cheese cards in the game because they annoy me but X-Bow did use to be so good.

Imagine 6 elixir evo recruits, prime champions, NW, ghost use to be able to always 1v1 a knight, now knight has currently the best evo to combat. Prime pump! Spawners. You missed one of the most OP cards at the time. A card that terrified every CLASH Royale player when it was used against them. When they buffed Executioner. That damage buff with short range killed like every push. That with tornado destroyed everything. One of the most damaging units at that time that needed to revert back as it was too much.
