I would recommend you to watch Welcome Home(2020). Loosely based on true events, this movie is focused on a family with hidden secrets. When two female govt teachers visit them for a census report, what happens next is what the movie is about. It's really disturbing, yet it's a must watch.

Three movies I have seen from your list - Matrabhoomi, Visaranai and Thanmatra. Mahanadthi I did not want to, I did not have the courage. Matrabhoomi and Thanmatra was both different genre but very disturbing. I lost sleep for many days. Accidentally, I saw the movie Matrabhoomi and was just shocked. I did not know even the name of the movie. I came to know this movie's name just because of your movie listing. Visaranai, I left it in mid-way as the subject was getting heavier. One movie which I can suggest is 'Paruthiveeran' - very scary.

Some inclusions to your list can be - Siby Malayil's Thaniyavarthanam much more heart wrenching than Thanmathra, Mahendran's epoch making Udirippookkal, Balachander's Thanneer Thanneer, Puttanna Kanagal's Sharapanjara, KG George's Aadaminte Variyellu, Gautam Ghose's Paar. So many.
