It is my opinion that every serious airsofter should bring at least one tri shot shotgun to every event they attend. Always work if you or your team mate's gun goes down, and if it breaks/gets lost you're only out 60 ish bucks. Performes fine, and I've stacked bodies at cqb and field games with one. Can't be beat for cost effectiveness.

The Ol' Reliable is definitely warranted to be on this list. My Ol Reliable was a H&K UMP45 and it just wouldnt quit until this year. 7 Years of games every other weekend, putting thousands of rounds through it, and it finally gave up. Gave it a final farewell because it was basically a comrade at that point.

@cdgonepotatoes42192 жыл бұрын
Putting a minimum length on support guns makes sense. Since it's airsoft, you can technically turn anything into an MG including some toy-plastic featherweight AEG, with just 9 inches of barrel, by loading it with a high-cap and there wouldn't be too much of a difference, only that one is possibly very slightly more accurate in no-wind conditions while the other is way lighter and easier to handle. You need imposed limitations on that front, same reason why the imposed limitation of letting only some use full-auto in that ruleset.
@Seb-Storm2 жыл бұрын
@@cdgonepotatoes4219 I see, true I've seen people running SBRs as lmgs. I guess as a general rule is just have their real life counter part as an example. That's what we did where I live, bring your gun and if the real model is/qualifies as lmg, dmr, smg, etc. then such rules apply

I run a cyma full metal pistol grip trishot with a primary airsoft m4 mag adaptor. It fires a super tight grouping at long range. Shoots just under a fully charge gas shotgun. And it’s the easiest platform to use against people that don’t like to call the hits. They are far more eager to call the hit when 3 bbs hit within an inch of each other. Honestly all springers are the most useful platforms. They never run out of battery. They never run out of gas They shoot incredibly predictable

My current collection includes 2 CYMAs, both best desricbed as "ol' reliable". I have a COLT M4 CQB with several attachments that I use more often nowadays, but my close to 10-year-old CYMA Kalashnikov tactical, the stock and foregrip of which have long since gone missing, still fires like new. It's been dropped, stepped on, knocked around, gathered dust for about 5-7 years, and yet when I had it checked by a field near me with a full-time tech, still ran like the day I bought it.

Oh boy…my ol’ reliable. In my 15 years of playing now, that title can only be given to one singular gun within my 43 gun collection: My tried and true CYMA Full metal M870 tri-shot. That gun has been with me for 10 years now, and ever since then it’s come with me to every single event/game I’ve ever played since then. Pickup games, Milsim, CQB tournaments, role-play events, every single REV event I’ve attended, literally everything I’ve attended since I’ve owned it it’s been with me and has been used. Never once broke or failed, and still shoots as good as the day I got it despite the absolutely countless amounts of rounds through it. It’s always the gun I suggest to players as a backup for their main weapon system, as they just refuse to die, and perform well enough to hang with the big dogs. Side note: The helmet video would be cool! I have a nice ODST helmet setup I’d love to submit!

15:06 A thing to note here is that the featherweight M249s have regular V2 gearboxes which don't do well under support fire stress. They're therefore only good as a lightweight base for HPA conversion or if you're gonna put a high quality CNC gb shell in it, but those are a little costly options for a plastic gun.

I totally agree on using a SBR CQBR for anything urban or having at least 2 members of your squad with them. I live by my M4A3 "Commando" length with a silencer I built (105mm), it's still VERY short for CQB urban ops and the functional silencer extends range and velocity for longer 150 to 180ft shots. Same goes for my Knights Armament Knighthawk. Bought it when Knights was still in my town, but my go to sidearm is a WG 1911 non blow back. In fact, every "blowback" rifle I have, I've disengaged the blow back feature. No need making even more noise then you need. I also agree. I may be a lil late to the vid but I’ve been playing airsoft for about 3 years, and have just started getting into hi capas and recently started a new hi capa build because I’m a cqb(or indoor) player and the majority of my friends play outdoor, so my current build is so I can play outdoor AND indoor with the hi capa

My 'Ol Reliable is my CM16 wildhog. Yes I have several guns that from the outside appear better but the modifications I have done makes it comparable to an umbrella armory CQB gun etc.

My Wolverine MTW. It's been 4 years of not a single issue. I've only replaced orings and buckings.

Great video! A difficult question. If you started airsoft again from zero, what would you get as the primary weapon and the secondary? ; D

I’ve got a few airsoft guns (not gonna name them all lol) mostly I have a classic army m4a1 and it’s gimmicky but I slapped a long barreled m203 an echo 1 pkm and an echo 1 ak-74u and I rock a green gas TT 33, either that or a C02 Elite Force m9 as a side arm

On number 5, I’ve never had a single gun last as long as my WE 1911 Wilson Combat. 15 years of dedicated use and abuse. Almost every other weapon busted within a year

Bought a G3 as my first gun. it was very cheap, fire selector fell off after first game, and I had to replace the gearbox. But I love it.

This might be a dumb question but I’ve been out of airsoft for quite a while. Has nobody designed a compact M4 clone (or any other long gun) that can be quickly adjusted from higher velocities to CQB legal muzzle velocities? Ideally, some type of internal mechanism controlled by the safety selector. Like… -Safety = Safety -Semi-auto position = standard velo -Full-auto position = CQB approved velo

I don’t think so I might be wrong but that seems very futuristic
