Hey! Actual M134 owner here! Your comments about this thing are spot on! It's heavy, doesn't really fire that fast, inaccurate, inefficient with air, and horribly unreliable. If I wanted to use an LMG, I have plenty of options that will outshoot this thing for a fraction of the price so you would not get a minigun for any practical purposes. That said, this thing is a definite head turner and crowd pleaser! It is LOUD and everybody on the field knows when you're firing it. I only run this thing for juggernaut games and, as a fellow Texan, we've got several months to go before the weather is really going to make that feasible.

12:30 So I used an M82A1 from SOCOM Gear year and years ago at one of the Camp Blanding events and it actually *did* serve a legitimate purpose. It scared the living hell out of everyone on the field. I remember that both in the initial briefing and during the match, it inevitably would catch the eye of everyone in attendance. It was well upgraded, in the 450 fps Range and easily hitting out to 275 feet with should sized groupings, and I had zero'd in the scope well enough to be able to put a round (or 3, since it was an AEG) through any window on the field. I remember on Day 2, I went to the tallest building (think it was 6 floors) top floor and whenever I stuck the barrel out the window, everyone would take cover. I mention this because once it was realized by both sides the repeat fire ability of that gun, and their reactions to it, my side starting taking advantage of it and using me as an area of denial mechanism. The sheer terror alone caused movement. My buddy was with me at all times with his CAW Six Pack (remember those?) and an, at the time, brand new CA M249 Para. And basically they just moved us around the field to lock down whole sectors. IDK if these would still carry that terror power but some might just by showing up and that can be an advantage all of their own.

Back in 2005 Canada when I played, running around with an MP7 was considered pretty unique compared everyone else’s AK and M4/16 variants. I loved the slightly off beat. That’s why I bought an XM8 as well. This AEG I would label as “pointless” because it’s just a G36c with bulkier furniture and a barrel that guarantees poorer accuracy. Minuguns can be useful if you play with certain rules. I knew someone who played with friends and they had a big heavy minugun with a shield on it, along with the shield he had a helmet and armored pants so you could only "Damage" him if you hit his chest or back. The Minugun only really served for the aesthetic and to lower his mobility further as what is essentially a tank shouldn't be super mobile

I might sound biased because I use one but I feel that the P90 in an airsoft is really good especially for cqb and for cqb situations in milsims. You can get 200 round mags from krytac or even box mag which can hold a thousand BB’s. The P90 also has the ability to do semi when it’s set to full auto which is nice in my opinion. I use mine frequently at my cqb field and love using it. I’ve been told during sessions that people tend to avoid me just to not get shot by it because of how quickly I can use it.

I disagree about the uselessness of lever actions. I have an A&K mare's leg which I've tapped with an Amped IGL and modified to accept MP5 magazines or an Angel custom drum. Yes, it does take some work to get a lever action working well, but they make great marksman rifles. They're almost certainly more practical than bolt guns as far as fire rate is concerned.
@impguardwarhamer2 жыл бұрын
yeh, tbh I'm curious why historically bolt guns where adopted over levers. Lever action just seems to make much more sense.
@Ravnican1272 жыл бұрын
Even just upgrading and tuning a solidly built lever gun to use instead of a bolt gun makes sense to me. Follow up shots are easier, you don't need to break your cheek weld to run the action, and you can shoot significantly faster than a bolt action. Yes, if you plan on getting stuck in against people using AEGs, you're gonna have a bad time. But for a marksman role I feel it just wins out overall.

I played airsoft for almost 15 years and I came to the conclusion that although a lot of guns I bought looked amazing and got a lot of compliments on, sadly without ammo limitations in the magazine, a lot of the "cool" weapons were getting surpassed by the average MP5 or M4. The real life advantages of things like machineguns, shotguns, sniper rifles and revolvers, are usually related to the power and range of their calibers, or the amount of ammo they can fire without having to reload. In airsoft, almost every one shoots the same 6mm BB, and with high caps, even a G36K could be used for suppressing fire. No one is intimidated by a guy carrying an M60E3 (unless its shooting at 430FPS) or afraid to peak out of cover caus the enemy has a Desr.et Eagle.

I decided I wanna get into Airsoft not too long ago, and I picked up a Smoke Wagon as my first gun. I knew going in it's not very practical but I'm all about twirling one like I'm Revolver Ocelot to the point where I've been practicing in my free time with it. But I noticed a couple things with it that make it not as bad as you'd think. For starters, it's a slip gun which means you can essentially slam-fire with it, just hold down the trigger and you can fire as fast as you can pull the hammer back. Just learn where your thumb has to be so it doesn't bite you, cuz that'll hurt. Another thing is that the shells load from the back, so if you need to reload or wanna top-off your gun you don't have to actually remove them which gives it an edge over other shell ejecting guns. Just have a BB pouch handy in your loadout and load em' one at a time, I only got extra shells so I can put em' in a bandolier for style points. The last thing to note and what I have yet to do is to get an extra or 2 and make that your extended mag, it's much quicker to pull out another gun than it is to reload any other pistol for most people. Other than that look up some videos on Cowboy action shooting to learn the techniques for how to shoot one effectively and get some gloves if you wanna practice goofy things with em'. Hope this helps

Great video. I absolutely adore the micro gun, but will never own one. Most pointless gun I personally own is the old KSC Auto9. I will never, ever run it. Can't use the full auto function because the entire outer shell of the gun is made of a cheapish feeling plastic and they have a habit of cracking along the upper receiver if you use full auto. Can't just run it in semi because, well, it kinda sucks for range. Finding a reliable holster to fit it is a pain. But damned if I don't love owning it simply because it's a goddamn Auto9. One day I'll pick up the steel KSC M93 and Mafioso kit...but until then, the cheapy Auto9 will have a place of honour in my collection. It's awesome G&G sponsors you, btw! Interesting point about the Desert eagle. I bought one to share with my friends and have a good time but 3 years down the track it's become my permanent sidearm in all airsoft games because it's performance is insane. Yes it's heavy and doesn't fit a conventional holster, i holster it in my radio pouch on my chest rig. Yes it's recoil is higher than probably most pistols but it's performance makes these two issues really non issues. Out of the box no mods my cybergun DE50.AE gets 400 fps on 0.3bbs and shoots straight for about 45-60 meters. I swapped it out as for my WE glock 34 as it simply outperforms and is more reliable than it.

Also, revolvers are the number 1 best gun simply for the humiliation factor. Ps lever actions beat bolt actions everyday so long as it's good quality. The fire rate coupled with being able to stay on target while rechambering is peak performance.

I got the ASG Dan Wesson entirely because “I lost 50,000 men in the blink of an eye, and the world just watched.” It’s entirely a statement and execution piece for milsim, there to grab attention and send a message. As for my 10-11 pound Mk14, literally just “carry heavy unique thing.” Both have served me well tho!

I have a Colt Python to go along with my custom Beretta 96 because "I have *this!*" I totally feel that. Revolvers are fun. Even running the H8R in single action is a blast in CQC.

The fact that the revolver only has 6 shots makes the Game much more exciting. And I've never caught my finger on my A&K leaver action. probably because I have little fingers or observe the long finger rule

As a reenactor, I think those anti material (M2, M1A1 bazooka, etc) are good substitutes in that field. Totally impractical in airsoft but a gas M2 or bazooka would be a lot cheaper than the real deal and be great for a display or even for a battle reenactment. All the M2 would have to do is make noise (gas) and the bazooka would just need to be the one that shoots a nerf football. It’s not practical in airsoft but at least some practical use can be gotten from them

As a microgun owner, I can testify the shock factor is a big win for the user, it’s range is iffy at first, and takes some fine tuning. My full kit is 80+ pounds for event with 2 HPA tanks and about 20,000 rounds of ammo, but this includes several other things like water, food, some medical supplies, the little things that help a lot. I don’t recommend it for anyone with a weak back or legs, because if you put it on a sling, and you will want to, it’s a BRUTAL stain on your back. I couldn’t even walk the day after I ran it for the first time at a MILSIM (large hills are brutal), but it’s so much fun to use, and it’s not entirely bad, it’s just heavy, eats air, and is also a HUGE magnet for you getting targeted, but it’s still a fun gun and I recommend it to anyone with the money and strength.

The biggest downside of airsoft is that SMGs and ARs are always the best. Because they can shoot fast, accurate and have big mags. I love semi-autos like my SKS EBR but it can't compete with ARs. The only advantage is that they're sometimes more accurate and can shoot further, to the point of being considered snipers

Running a chrome Desert Eagle regularly as my sidearm (occasionally primary) lmao. My biggest complaint originates from the iron sights, without dots it's difficult to aim quickly in a fight.

Absolutely agree with the Minigun. It’s got the rule of cool going for it, and that’s about it. Now I may not be super experienced at airsoft, but if I needed something big to fill a heavy support role, I’d probably go with the Krytac Trident MK2 LMG. Or even some other LMG.

I honestly didn't think i would see a desert eagle here. Its the gun you buy because its in your favorite movies and videogames. I know its a 5 lb gun which is the same wight as a ploymer m4 but they really kick like a mule. In terms of kick its probably up there with the kwc mini uzi. The best of the 3 is the we. The we has the trades stamped on instead if lazer engraved or painted on so they are nigh unwearable. It can also ise both green gas and co2. Of course co2 has more kick and shoots far too hot fir most placed that have pistol rules and even on green gas same thing but a npas will fix that unlike co2 where tlu really have to crank the npas and that might not be enough.

It's a reason to go outside and have some fun, nothing wrong with any of them - only gets better if if peeps like playing with limited weapons. Kinda like old guns in general vs newer autos, an AK would probably outperform a musket in most ways but there's still a nostalgia to be had in playing with the musket or simulating combat with it

6:36 stuck XD From a practical point that "heavy weapons" are useless because the limitations on power. The only reason to use an Anti Material Rifle is the distance, but on Airsoft you have limit by safety, so the M82 has the same than a normal one on range.

I used to run with a Steyr Aug that was tweaked up to the legal limit at the time (15 odd years ago in the UK. Specs I can't remember) But fired at a higher RoF and more powerful than stock. Needed an external battery pack to power properly. Had it wired to my vest. Had a connector along the wire so I could detach the wire and gun easily. Was a pretty neat set up. Loved that thing with a Red Dot holo sight. Also ran with dual Glock 17s as secondaries - Stock. Loved my local Airsoft site. Was a heavily wooded area, Some of the most fun memories I have with my mates. Running and gunning at that place.

Question about the lever actions. What brand sells lever actions that aren't shell ejecting?

The closest thing to Airsoft in my country, Australia, are Gel Blasters. The main Airsoft manufacturers make high quality Gel Blasters for sale over here. I have a gold Hi-Capa 5.1 (I love it), a Well Green gas MP5k (also love it) plus M82, M249 and an M203 that's practically a pump shotgun with a gel ball reservoir. Haven't gone to a game yet, but I think I'm all set with some practical choices and some "Hey look at my awesome blaster" ones. I saw a break open gas powered shell grenade launcher for the price of a Hi-Capa pistol and it's ridiculous. One shell and once fired, it needs to reloaded with both balls and gas, so not only not practical; but not worth the price. I find it funny that NYC are classifying Gel Blasters as restricted firearms, just like Airsoft is classified as restricted firearms here. Anyway, great video; can't wait for more... :)

I enjoy using my mg42 replica when I am doing a ww2 match even though it’s heavy. Generally I prefer it on the defensive where I can setup an mg nest basically. I am usually not the only one with them and we make combined fields of fire from our mg nests. I run a full auto c96 as a backup in case someone gets in too close I even have the buttstock for it if I wanted to have it as a carbine.

I love shell ejecting airsoft...I used to carry a dboys kar 98k shell ejector rifle to my local games, not for everyone, but for me it was just up my alley and a blast. Just had to replace the terrible 2 piece barrel that the stock dboys came with...and would recommend the spring bolt over the gas bolt. Replace the pot metal bolt stop with a cnc one, get a nice high power spring and finally buy some real 8mm mauser stripper clips, the stock stripper clips are cheap and flimsy, and you are good to go.

I absolutely agree with almost all of these... but a non shell ejecting lever gun, I don't know if they use gas or not, sounds like one of the most fun options to shoot in the back yard... i would never take it into fake combat against bb hoses... sounds like a bad day... Maybe if you play in full ghilly camo you'd be ok...

About the DE, get the We Tech version. The TM has proprietary hopup, bucking, and barrel. Gl finding those in the future. It's also plastic so you'll need to shell out for a metal kit (250$-2000$+). To get it fully upgraded expect to spend 600$+.

I used a pair of marui desert eagles as primary weapons for a long time, one is bone stock apart from the gold paint job I did on it, the other has a modified hopup unit and a cut down l96 inner barrel and is super accurate. For CQB or FIBUA games, they were my go to, sure you're not going to be suppressing anyone and once you take your first shot you aren't stealthing anywhere but for me, they were a reliable and low drag (mags kept in jacket pockets so they were warm year round) and if you needed to get into a building you could get in fast as you dint have a bulky rifle to contend with. That said, I also have a bunch of other airsoft kit for other environments, snipers, shotguns, long and short rifles etc

Hello! Newer person to the channel. I was curious if you can take a look at the airsoft guns, and see if you can find matches or similar comparances to the guns of Hunt: Showdown. When you mentioned Western style themes, I would love to do a scrim based on that game and era, and was curious if there was anything like that. Thanks in advance!
